Grognak the Barbarian is a fictional character in the Fallout world and the protagonist of the Grognak the Barbarian franchise.

BackgroundEdit

Grognak is a fictional character created by Hubris Comics. He is a barbarian warrior who travels through ancient lands, battling various fantastical monsters and villains. He is always depicted wearing a simple green waistcloth with brown boots and gloves, and wields a mystical battleaxe.

In addition to his own series, he appeared regularly as a member of The Unstoppables, a superhero team made up of other Hubris Comics legends such as the Silver Shroud and Manta Man.

NotesEdit

  • A send up of Conan the Barbarian by Robert E Howard in Fallout 3 and addition of a bit of Marvel's versions of the gods Hercules (Outfit) and Thor (Hair color and Unstoppables' membership) in Fallout 4.
  • In Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, Grognak was depicted with jet black hair. In Fallout 4, however, Grognak is depicted with blond hair. Similar to how Conan who was originally depicted as black haired in the books' descriptions and the Marvel comics based on the books. But for the first big screen adaption, the light brown-haired Arnold Schwarzenegger was selected as Conan's actor.

AppearancesEdit

Grognak appears in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4.
