The Great Passion Fruit Famine of 2044 was an event in world history mentioned by Sierra Petrovita in Fallout 3.

BackgroundEdit

Little is known about the causes of the famine, but it can be assumed that passion fruit crops died out en masse. During this time, the Nuka Cola Corporation, had to change the flavor of its trademark soft drink because the supply of the fruit had deteriorated.

EffectsEdit

Passion fruit was one of the many fruit flavors used in the making of Nuka-Cola. Despite having been introduced only a few months before the famine, people noticed the change in flavor.
