Gore Bags

Gore Bags are a type of item container commonly found in areas inhabited by Super Mutants in Fallout 3. They are generally filled with 2 mutilated body parts, (such as Mutilated Torso, Mutilated Skull, Mutilated Arm or Mutilated Leg) in addition to other miscellaneous items such as Ammo, quite a'lot of Bottle Caps (usually 10+), and occasionally a few Frag Grenades. They make a distinct squishing sound when examined.

Presumably, all the items found in the Gore Bag were those carried by the victims. They can be found in most Super Mutant camps and strongholds, Vault 87 as well as in the sub basement of the Jefferson Memorial. The bags contents might also be whats left over, or what the Super Mutants didn't eat, or haven't gotten around to it yet based on the Super Mutants combat dialogue: "Hurry up and die! I'm hungry!"
