Gold (symbol Au, atomic number 79) is a valuable metal that occurs naturally in small nuggets, much like this one. In Fallout 2, gold nuggets can be thrown at enemies for a small amount of damage.

This item's range is incorrectly set to 0 in the item definitions, meaning that it cannot be used for an unarmed attack like a Rock. Its sole use is as a weak Throwing weapon.
