Get Gizmo's confession is a side quest in Fallout.
Quick walkthrough
- Talk to Killian Darkwater to start quest.
- Go to Gizmo's Casino.
- Obtain a confession from Gizmo using the bug or have the tape recorder in inventory when accepting Gizmo's job to kill Darkwater.
- Return to Killian for reward.
Detailed walkthrough
After the Vault Dweller speaks to Killian Darkwater for the first time, a man named Kenji with a hunting rifle will enter the store and say "Gizmo sends his regards." Then he attacks Killian. Kill Kenji to earn 400 XP plus XP for killing him.
Mayor Darkwater then asks the the Vault Dweller to get a confession from Gizmo so he can imprison him or kill him. If he accepts, Killian gives the player a bug and a tape recorder.
The player should proceed to Gizmo's casino. At this point they can:
- Plant the bug on Gizmo, (Steal skill).
- Persuade Gizmo to give a price for Killian's head, while the tape recorder is in their inventory.
Regardless of the option chosen, the Vault Dweller must return to Killian to get his reward. The method used does not alter the reward.
Rewards
- 500 XP.
- An item of merchandise from Darkwaters General Store:
- 5 stimpaks,
- doctor's bag,
- leather armor,
- shotgun with 100 shotgun shells.
- Killian offers the Take Revenge on Gizmo quest.
Notes
- If the Vault Dweller gets the tape of Gizmo asking the Vault Dweller to kill Killian, the quest will stay in the player's Pip-Boy 2000.
