From The Vault
Gamma Shield Armor is a variant of Metal Armor found in The Pitt add-on for Fallout 3.
It can be repaired with Metal Armor and provides a damage resistance of 36 as well as a bonus of 15 to Radiation Resistance whilst incurring a penalty of 1 to Agility.
- In the Effects menu, the Radiation Resistance and Agility modifiers are marked as coming from "Lead-Lined Armor," not Gamma Shield Armor, although this would explain the extra weight. Although the fact that Lead blocks Gamma radiation, the "Lead-Lined Armor" could be saying that the Gamma Shield Armor shields against Gamma Radiation through the use of a lead lining.
- This armor tends to "phase" once dropped: it will disappear after a while if dropped, turning completely invisible, while it will still actually be there and can be interacted with/picked up.
