All they do is patrol YouTube for FNV videos. But today, they found a video of FNV titled "The intro of the game", no FNV in the vid title or description. How did they find a vid with no FNV in it? Does this mean they actually will stop at nothing to see every vid on YouTube to find a FNV vid? I have seen many no-lifers in the past, but these guys just take the cake. My god, how did they find it! Well at least i got to see it before they took it down.--Radraider 15:30, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

What they have is 26 million people on computers in a huge room. They're all viewing Youtube vidios. Each Milloin has a letter, they then view ALL videos that start with that letter, (dividing it between them by page numbers). This way they see if there is a New Vegas realated video.
Or, they may have been tipped off/monitering this wiki, and saw the link. You want to upload something like 'My Dog Can Dance. ROFL' and then postit on a blog called 'LOLOLOL DANCING DOG!' that way they'll never know. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 15:31, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

It's because of people who will report anything that even looks like it might be copyright infringement. They probably don't have that many actual employees monitoring youtube. Just the fanboys. MFToast - talk 21:13, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

Whatever their means of discovering the videos, you shouldn't blame them for having them taken down. Blame instead the folks illegally uploading them and then posting them here. --Kris User Hola 22:02, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps they have some automated software that looks for "signatures" in video files posted on youtube and flags them?Agent c 23:19, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

No, no, you guys are being immature. Just deal with it. Nukey (talk) 23:22, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

Edit: Also, it's illegal and copyright infringement. Nukey (talk) 23:23, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

so ya its not that thay have no life its that thay are doing their job --MrDot01 23:41, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

I've had some bad experiences with youtube (I mean, seriously, who hasn't? A lot of videos have friggin racists, smacktards, and people starting random pointless flamewars commenting it up - not to mention the sheer political/philosophical carnage), but I've come to realize why the filters are such douchebags. Here's why: Youtube is basically a place used by just about every type of person you can think of, and they can comment and post crap anonymously. Undeniably, this pleases the trolls/racists/fanboys to no end and creates a cataclysmic shitstorm never before seen in the internet community. On top of all that, they have to manage copyright infringement because paranoid companies are looking to sue them whenever they get a good chance. Now, because of this, I think Youtube's employees are basically a small group of people handling one of the biggest and most dysfunctional communities in existence. And because of that they have to sort of cut corners - its near impossible for them to get rid of the douche hordes, so they have to allow 'free speech' of course, I think they really need to draw the friggin line when you see racists comments about black people or creepy-ass manga-fans talking about how they so wish they had a 100% Japanese girlfriend (creepy as it gets...especially if you're half Japanese like me), but then they have to divert their attention to getting rid of the vast seas of illegally posted videos - torrent links, hack links, music being used illegally, and anything that could potentially cause a corporation to more or less flip their lid. Youtube's systems do, in fact, have built in software that scans a video when you upload it and looks to see if you might be using any popular music tracks illegally, and automatically cuts the audio out when you post it. They've cut so many corners, and yet they can barely keep up. So now what they do is just take a hardcore 'If it moves, shoot it' sort of approach to handling media. Better to be on the safe side and move on then get slowed down and potentially sued, or at least pressured by corporations out there. Even if they can't sue youtube, there are plenty of ways a mass-media corporation can hurt their reputation and lower the value of their advertising, which is where Youtube gets its money from. Sometimes the "Tube" in You Tube applies to its users, particularly the Extremist freaks Agent c 01:21, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Youtube is all automated. Zenimax probably just threw a chunk of data at Youtube, which got stabbed in the servers. It's also annoying for music videos. TestECull
