The Wrights do gain control of Reno, while the Bishops have the Chosen One's child that Mrs. Bishop needs to take care of (and not be told to move on). Just avoid telling Orville about getting entry, or cause the accident and he'll put the weaponry aside. --[[User:Breakin'Benny|Breakin'Benny]] ([[User talk:Breakin'Benny|talk]]) 06:34, September 11, 2014 (UTC)

Forums: Index > Fallout and Fallout 2 general discussion > Wrights or Bishops?

(Note: My idea of good in this is less crime, good laws, order, general happiness, etc. Also, I'm going to be trying to help the NCR as best I can.) Hi! So, I have a really bad tendency to look up the ending of a Fallout game and decide what quests and choices I will do to get the best ending possible, and I saw New Reno. I have a separate opinion on all 4 crime families.

Salvatores: Assholes, too connected to the Enclave. Their ending is just them shooting up the other families. Not exactly New Reno's holy saviors.

Mordinos: Almost entirely relying on Jet to be the best, and will use its addictive traits to take over a good portion of the Core region. Not exactly a good thing. Their ending where you find a cure ends up with them just dissolving. I'm gonna find a cure, mostly because it's canon and it's a "good character" choice, so they're obviously not a good choice, since it still leaves the mob war alive, but this time with 3 instead of 4.

Wrights: Their peaceful ending is just about on par with the Bishops. Will only do their first quest no matter if I choose the Wrights or not. For reference, here's the link to their first quest. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Find_out_who_was_responsible_for_Richard_Wright%27s_overdose

Bishops: Since I'm also trying to help the NCR, the Bishops are also a prime choice. However, I'm also planning on making Vault City "join" NCR peacefully (ending 2) which involves exposing the Bishops' plans.

So, what should I do? The Wrights bring education, safety, religion, and order to New Reno, and the Bishops give the unity, peace of mind, and laws that come with the NCR. Tehpwner7067 (talk) 20:59, September 9, 2014 (UTC)

The Bishop ending is canon, as you might've read. But if you ignore that, I suppose Wrights might be your style, as they only sell alcohol, while the Bishops might be more violent and want to expand their horizons, like Redding. Energy X 21:14, September 9, 2014 (UTC)

None of the above. The other ending where a new family is born... Agent c (talk) 21:25, September 9, 2014 (UTC)

Wait, is the Bishop child and the normal Reno slide the same slide, or are they separate? Tehpwner7067 (talk) 00:57, September 10, 2014 (UTC)

The Wrights do gain control of Reno, while the Bishops have the Chosen One's child that Mrs. Bishop needs to take care of (and not be told to move on). So, the Bishop child and the normal Reno slide are separate? I don't understand if that's what you're saying or not.
I haven't even beaten Fallout 2 yet, but I think some details could be picked out by looking at the extracted game data files (specifically endgame.txt or something). I wouldn't mind giving it a try! --Breakin'Benny (talk) 13:53, September 14, 2014 (UTC)
