Both the NCR and the legion represent parts of the USA itself, and both, at least in part, represent it at it’s worst. Now I’m a proud American and I still believe it’s the greatest country in the world, but many of its mistakes are reflected in these two factions. The legion, slavery and Prohibition; the NCR imperialism, and crooked politics. Still I think the + karma characters are going to gravitate toward the NCR and the - Karma ones toward the legion. Good? There is no good. Only right and wrong. NCR does bad things sure, but they are a hell of a lot closer to a civilized society then the Autocratic slavers of the legion. Mr House is civilized but he focuses too much on Vegas and not on the rest of the world. Enclave are genocidal brainwashed soldiers committing atrocities in the hope of a "Greater Good" but really they are no better than a Legion equipped with power armor. The Brotherhood are xenophobic soldiers long past their glory days (With the exception of Lyon's BoS) and the Khans are in decline. So out of all the Factions to say which one is "Good"? I'll go with NCR.

There are no good guys in the wasteland.Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 20:24, May 6, 2010 (UTC)

He's right. Caesar's Legion is going to rebuild the world through slaves, NCR through annexation and aggressive politics, and Vegas itself through crime. And I really doubt that anyone can stop one of the first two factions. Nitty Tok. 20:36, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Crime can't exist without law. In the lawless New Vegas, the more appropriate term would be "feudal kingdom". Take a minute to think about it - what are the gangs and mobs, if not microkingdoms? Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 21:54, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Well in the previus games the NCR was probably the closest you got to a good faction. It does some sketchy moves from time to time, but generaly it's the most democratic goverment known in post apocalyptic USA. It's racialy tolerant, it's not sexist, most of the time it doesent force towns/states to join them unless they are vital (like Vault City in F2) etc. and its huge. The NCR has the best chance as of now to rebuild the world.

I wouldn't call Caesar's Legion a "good" faction because they are in essence, slavers. And any slaver orginasation is prone to be corrupt and not caring for restoring humanity much. ChaplainDMK 15:46, June 5, 2010 (UTC)

I guess, but they still demanded tribute from them, and they are still slavers.

I would look at them the same way I look at Ashur: Appearance of good intentions, not the best methods. Knight Captain Ski (radio) 16:55, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
