Forums: Index > Fallout 3 general discussion > Where can I sell all the stuff I've collected?

Throughout the game (PC and just finished Broken Steel), I've collected a large quantity of weapons, ammo and armor and stored them in my (infinitely large) filing cabinet at my Megaton home. Trouble is, that selling this stuff is a slow process. I have to go to Rivet city or Megaton Supplies or The Underworld or find a trading caravan to sell and usually they don't have the caps to pay for even one suit of armor. I've got about 85,000 caps but also more than 100,000 Caps worth of goods. Any suggestions? While you're at it, what's the best thing to do with the caps? It's too bad I can't use them to buy buildings or political influence.

A good way to transport stuff is to get a lackey and make them carry everything. Just gradually sell stuff as you go along.

If you want my opinion on what to do with it, you should invest in something safe. Tangible items are always good. Maybe buy a Vertibird from the Enclave? If not, I hear stocks are at an all-time low. YuriKaslov 21:29, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
I am using Fawkes to carry stuff but in many locations it takes both of us two or three trips to get all the stuff home. The problem is selling the swag. There's just nobody that I've found with significant caps so selling an item with a value of say 999 caps is a waste when the buyer only has 300 or 400 caps. I would hold onto the items that you can use to make custom weapons. As for items like the cigaret packs and cigaret cartons, which are worth a lot, you can sell those. The rest can used as ammo in the custom weapon Rock-It Launcher(it can shoot anything). I have the same trouble selling some of the stuff I've collected. As for spending your caps, Use them to buy stimpacks, ammo, stuff for your Megaton home/Tenpenny Tower suite etc.--Ryker6102:08, April 15, 2011 (UTC)~ 7:07pm 4/14/2011
