title explains it all folks whats your favorite faction from any of the games. it dose not have to be a major faction like NCR or BoS it can be a smaller faction like the Followers of the Apoaclpse(sorry,i suck at spelling) or talon company. Mne is stuck between NCR and the Gun runners(dont know why just find them cool)

Pretty much just The Brotherhood. They are the easiest to please. Give them a laser something and BOOM! You're in. MoonshadowDark

The Bright Brotherhood :D ~ YesMan

The NCR or the Brotherhood, both are "good guys" but have som flaws and not so good aspects. Like that, makes them real. That, and the look. Sgt. Chronus 07:00, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Brotherhood? Good? NO. Excluding the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel, the BoS is essentially the Enclave with a different name, IMO. Ranger Sarina 02:06, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Hence the quotes. Compared to the Enclave, they kinda peachy. Mainly for me its the East Coast and Midwest, West Coast is kinda prickesh. But they do look oh so spiffy. Sgt. Chronus 08:32, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

From Fallout I like the Far Go Traders; Butch Harris is hilarious and they can hook you up with a nice discount at their gun shop which is helpful at low levels. In Fallout 2 I like the Bishops, they have an amusingly screwed up family dynamic and John Bishop is pretty Machiavellian for a post-apocalyptic thug. Fallout: Tactics had the Reaver Movement which was a nice alternate take on militant technology worshipers. Fallout 3 is a toss-up between the people of Tenpenny Tower which reminded me of Fiddler's Green from Land of the Dead, and Ishmael Ashur's raiders which seemed to be the most complex and nuanced group in all of Fallout 3 (not that the bar was set too high). The Fallout: New Vegas iteration of the Followers of the Apocalypse was more convincing than Fallout as far as painting them as pacifist good-guys out to help everyone.--OvaltinePatrol 17:33, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

Never got the appeal of the BoS. But my favourite depends on which sense you use the word. My favourite to experience is definately the Enclave, they're well developed, feature some of the more intriguing characters in the series, and JHE is just awesome to listen too. In terms of which faction I most like on a personal level is either Underworld, or The Strip/Mr. House. 60.234.236.221 08:48, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

I really like the Brootherhood of Steel, but the Capital Wasteland chapter is my favorite.

I liked Reilly's Rangers and thats about everything I liked in FO3 afterall... the Gun Runners in the very first Fallout were great, I just loved the idea of a armed-to-the-teeth army of weapon traders who made an old factory their very own fortress- they even had a radioactive moat! Oh and the Master and the Children were great.. simply because the Master is the most badass villain ever (love his voice acting) and I love the background music of the cathedral! xNOKIx 16:07, February 11, 2011 (UTC)

SergeantDornan: I like the Brotherhood of Steel the best. Someone said they are Enclave under a diff name, but I disagree with that notion. The Enclave want to take over the wasteland and destroy anything that is mutated, preserving "pure" humans, which makes them similiar to the Master who wanted to create a perfect species and end wars and atrocities. The Brotherhood of Steel, on the other hand, try to keep harmful technology out of the hands of those who would abuse or misuse it. Would you want a gang of Raiders getting their hands on ARCHIMEDES? I didn't think so. Nor would you want just anyone able to get ahold of weapons like Gatling Lasers, Tesla Canons, Power Armor, etc. The Brotherhood also try to preserve the technology of old as well. Their problem is they are primarily interested in weapons technology, and won't share with those who would put their technology to good use, like the FOllowers of the Apocalypse. Overall, though, I think the Brotherhood does more good then harm, and are not out to do evil; unlike the Enclave.

When I played FO1 (first time in 2001 when I was 11, didn't really understand anything, then again with 15) the BoS was like soooooooooooo cool.. then, it started with Tactics, I think all the magic was gone.. the very first version of the Brotherhood was like something new and stunning.. and I think everybody who played FO1 or 2 before FO3 remembers the feeling when you finally got your MK1 T51b Power Armor in FO1 ;) xNOKIx 18:17, February 12, 2011 (UTC)

The chairmen all the way yes ive played all the other main falloutsFryingpan57 01:45, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I liked them too.. they are the bees knees, so to say.. the Omertas were a bit lame though (bunch of brutes dressing like old time mob but without the code of honor thing) but I think they're pretty useful to support the fact that the Families are just wild tribes. xNOKIx 19:08, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

SergeantDornan: Another Faction I like, aside from the BoS and Enclave, are the regulators. I'm a bit surprised nobody mentioned them. I found them very intriguing in FO3, and wished there had been more about them. A group of people that dress up in old western attire, killing bad guys and cutting off their fingers--what the HELL is not to love about them? I hope they have a future in the FO universe. SergeantDornan 22:15, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

I thought the Kings were pretty cool. If including all Fallout games, it'd have to be Regulators (Fallout 3)--MetallicaFTW. 11:19, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I liked the FO1-regulators even more.. the whole police state theme was pretty cool xNOKIx 19:59, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I have to say Jacobstown all those super mutants who don't want to shoot you on sight--Kanto's Champion 08:01, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

100% desert rangers, they kept the mojave free of all violence, they had the greatest armour ever, skillz with guns, could survive in the wilderness for days, and did you notice that the legion didn't come to new vegas until the NCR did, i reckon they could've taken on the NCR if they didn't intergrate.

They wouldn't take on the NCR, because they'd be crushed by their army. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 08:13, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

I liked the brotherhood of steel from fallout tactics. I loved the military organization and the ultimate goal of pacifying the wasteland through force of arms and weak attempts at diplomacy. I liked the idea of them conscripting recruits from annexed villages and training ignorant savages to use advanced weaponry and complex military strategy. It's kind of like how Caesar taught his tribal followers the concept of Total War and molded them into a brutally efficient war machine. I loved how the Brotherhood of steel only had morals and ethics as it applied to their own troops and everyone else was simply expendable resources. Zac hemker 23:59, June 6, 2011. (UTC)

Fallout 3 super mutants. Trolly Polly Olly 00:03, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

I used to be a fan of the Brotherhood but after playing through FP:NV for the 4th time and choosing Mr.House as the winner, I'm backing him as my favourite faction. Aside from the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood, the BoS is a dead end as far as factions go. IN NV, Veronica and Elijah know this and try to change the mind set of the order but sadly, dogma and their rigid adherence to their codex {West Coast chapters at least} are an indication that the BoS's days are truly numbered. Only Owen Lyons has realised that the only hope that the BoS has to survive is to intergrate with the wider society. Casdin, the BoS outcast leader, is still stuck in the rut of collecting tech just because the codex tells him to. Meanwhile, back in New Vegas, if Mr.House becomes the clear winner, although his rule is despotic, he will drag humanity from savagery back to civilisation again and send humanity to the stars in 50 years time (2331/2AD). The NCR is just a shadow of the pre war US republic with all of the same flaws, corruption, nepotism and incompetence and as such, will never truly succeed as a civilisation. Mr House, as a benign dictator, will sheppard humanity forward out of the Hobbsian nightmare of the state of nature where life is nasty brutish and short to a place where creature comforts are all catered to and people can feel safe and secure once again.

I did feel a twinge of remorse in detonating the self destruct sequence in the BoS Hidden Valley bunker, especially after I'd earned their trust & acceptance but Elder Macnamarra refused to listen to Veronica's pleas to change and thus in a way, setting off the nuke was perhaps a kindness for them in the end as you end them in an instant with minimal suffering. The BoS have become a footnote in the post war history by making themselves irrelevent. 124.169.229.35 01:04, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

I'm really not sure what my favorite faction is, but I've got to say that the Unity was pretty cool. The organization of the Unity was like the Master itself -- so many disparate parts, joined toward one goal. You have the Children of the Cathedral spreading peace and love through the wastes, healing the sick and feeding the poor. You have the super mutant armies, burning opposition to ashes with lasers. You have nightkin, elite super mutant commandos. You had mad scientists trying to turn people into psykers.

Used to like the BoS. But, I think they're just crazy people on the West. Don't want to recruit, don't want to improve their tech. Worship tech. I only like the Midwest BoS and CW BoS. -James Jr 07:10, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

I think the NCR are the future of the wasteland, and if they can deal with corruption issues then they could thrive and expand all the way to the rocky mountains. Their democratic values and expansion closely mimics post-civil war America, but heading east rather than west. The CW BoS also has a great chance of creating a functional state in the DC area. The enclave still might have hideouts throughout central america. Also keep in mind a huge part of Nevada was federally owned, so the enclave could still exist in the west, just bidding their time. But who is anyone kidding, vault-Tec is by far the most interesting!WastelandRanger al 18:03, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

Ranger Sarina, the BoS is not "essentially the Enclave with a different name.". The Brotherhood is out to acquire pre-war tech, while the Enclave are out to eradicate all "impure" humans. Two completely different goals. The only thing that either one of these groups have in common, is the fact that their soldiers wear power armor. Other than that my favorite faction is the CW Brotherhood of Steel.--Ryker6105:24, August 22, 2011 (UTC)~10:20pm 8/21/2011 "For the struggle of survival is a war without end!"

The Enclave is cool because of their technology, but if I had to pick my all time favorite faction it would be Owyen Lyon's brotherhood detachment. They understand that preserving humanity's tech is not enough. They know that they have to preserve both civilization and its tech, or there is no point in hoarding tech at all.- SupremeCommanderGrief "I am Alpha and Omega. The beginning... and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life, freely."

Definitely the Brotherhood Outcasts, though they got exiled by Lyons' Brotherhood. They were the ones that didn't forget the true goal of the Brotherhood of Steel, something that Lyons did forget. Plus, their armor is awesome!--Theoriginal66 (talk) 20:47, April 11, 2015 (UTC)

Lyons is the forgetful one? The Brotherhood has been fighting off super mutants since the first Fallout, when they first started showing up. Paladin117>>iff bored; 21:00, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
I didn't mean it like that, what I meant was that, unlike the Outcasts, he wasn't doing his job of sticking with the Steel's mabn objective. Also, the Outcasts were hated by both the Enclave and the Brotherhood. Plus, they had few soldiers and weaponry. They weren't that safe at Fort Independence or the Outpost than the Lyons and the Steel were in the Citadel. And not only did they have to deal with the muties, but with other dangers such as deathclaws, yao guai, radscorps, etc.

The Enclave, because of their idealogy, their goal, and their technology. Not just their aesthetics, not at all... but because they're them... and because they will first purify, then restore peace, order, and prosperity to this once great nation... some day.
