NEVER been scared of this game, especially because I NEVER turn off my radio. Everything that might otherwise have been scary or creepy was incredibly fun and exciting thanks to 3 Dog's DJ-nut voice...

Forums: Index > Fallout 3 general discussion > Whats has been the scariest game moment for you?

Scooter79: My scariest moment was after I broke into the shed in Andale and took some of the strange meat. I figured something was up and that the meat was likely chopped up bits of human, but when I left the shed and the game paused a few seconds to load, the first image I saw was the four or five Andale residents standing outside the shed with knives and guns. It was dark and I hadn't seen anyone in Andale up until that point. Spooo-ooo-ooo-ky!

When I first saw Gob I was honestly surprised but I got used to him.

My scariest moment was when I was creeping though the sewers and I turned a corner and there was this mirelurk king just standing there with its arms raised shit scared the bejesus out of me!

Definetly Dunwich by far. The atmosphere there can't even compare to other parts of the game 85.107.138.114 05:18, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

How do you figure out the scariest moment when you live with mutants? For me though, it has to be when I was going through the Capital Wasteland. I met two escaped slaves from Paradise Falls cowering next to the remains of some building. One of them begged me to free them, as they still had the collars on. Feeling like a nice person, I set them free. Almost as soon as they began to run off, a Centaur came around the corner, and tore off the arm of one slave and then the head of the other. I literally screamed. The shock of seeing that made me think 'Time for the Fat Man'. I pulled out my weapon, and it was a baseball bat. This was the first time I had ever seen a Centaur, and I didn't want to shoot of any of its body parts, since I wanted to get a good look at it once it was dead. So I ran at it with a baseball bat, before SEVEN more came around the corner. I screamed again, turned round and FOUR more were blocking the other way. I was trapped, but I still had one choice. I stood back and let Fawkes wipe them out.

When I first saw a Deathclaw... SuSpence95 07:31, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

For me it was the Corvega factory, but I think it's cos I'm shit-scared of giant and fire breathign ants in that game. But sewers are shit scary as well, first time I played, my first time in the sewers I suddenly hear a hiss and something hits me. Made me jump. It turned out to be a ghoul attacking me from behind.

Lol, most scariest moment for me would have 2 be either when i was looking for dr lesko for Those! quest and i see the door open and some guy standing there! the other 1 was when i was in vault 92 for the 1st time,(for agatha's song of course) and i had just went down into the section where the violin is and i killed some mirelurk hunter that was there. i was just standing there doing stuff when out of now-where.. BOOM! this mirelurk king appears from round the corner and scared the fucking shit out of me! Silent.Killa78 >:) 09:01, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I have to admit, the part where you find Dr. Lesko in 'Those!' was my biggest make-ya-jump moment as well. Crawling through the sewers expecting nothing but ants, and you open this door to have that guy standing right in the doorway... REALLY unexpected. --Dlsimon1 04:54, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

First time I saw a Centaur. Nearly pissed my pants: "OK, I get those skillbooks and then it's home to Megato... WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!?! GET IT AWAY FROM ME! EAT SHOTGUN PELLETS, BASTARD!!! Phew, that was close. What the he... OH HELL, ANOTHER ONE!" AngryNorwegianDude 09:59, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Drinking from the water under the bridge near Andale a death claw came up from behind and swiped at me "alrighty, as soon as i get my health up its off to the nuka factory and FUUUUUU!!!!! AHHHH! DIE DIE DIEEEEE!"--OfficerBlue 10:05, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Whenever I turn around and see a deathclaw one meter from me or when I'm in a metro and 3 Reavers hunts me. Sign posts with 4 ~ Gabriel 10:44, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Bullshit! You're Maccy in disguise aren't Statesofeuphoria? A game that doesn't freeze is just an urban legend.--JiNX Bloodfang 14:52, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Alright, for me it was pretty much just bad timing. And a lot other externalities that further contributed to such a heart-thumping period of time.

So I get home and it's like still a little early, around eleven at night. The party I was at got rolled so it ended early but I was completely cross-faded not going to lie. Since it was still a little early no one was home, all the lights off, dead quiet, etc. When i started playing fallout I loaded the file where I just entered Dunwich building. And the whole time I was in there from start to finish... All those weird hallucinations and, and bizarre abnormalities gave me the hardest trip of my life. I just decided to stay up all night even though I don't believe in the supernatural...

note to self; don't get fucked up and play fallout

I went to vault vault 108 for the first time yesterday, does anybody else think those gary's are weird? -Blue67impala

Dunwich was scary, but vault 106 was scarier. Pararaptor 07:01, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I thought Vault 106 was hilarious. For Christ's sake, you can have a conversation with yourself on a computer! The scariest locations in the game is for me either Roosevelt Academy or Chryslus Building. Why? High amounts of Centaurs. AngryNorwegianDude 08:35, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I think it was the second time ever I was playing. I was out wandering the wastes, turning around to look for enemies, paranoid as I was in the beginning. I turn around, nothing there. I turn around again, nothing there. I turn around once again, and a bigass Yao Guai comes flying at me out of nowhere. I was like HOLY SHIT!!! Then I died :P That or the first time I got a corpse-glitch right in my face, but that was more like a WTF-moment. --KillerIsMe 09:59, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I hate the sound of a Yao Guai breathing. They sound like they have iron lungs or something. I'm Norwegian and Angry. 11:53, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, but it's even worse when they sneak up on you, not making a sound :P --KillerIsMe 12:23, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Hell, its bad enough when they sneak up on you, but worse when you think its your companion that you're hearing, and it turns out to be a Yao Guai, made me jump like hell like 2 hours ago.Setimir92 18:43, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I've never had to fight a yao gui, actually they help me, animal friend perk -Blue67impala

I had a nice experience with the Dunwich Building. I was new to the game, wandering around in the northeast area of the game when I come across a scavenger. He says he has a bottle of Quantum to sell to some crazy chick who lives in a place called Girdershade. So eventually I decide to go down there, talk to her about it etc., I go to ask Ronald Laren if he knows any interesting places, and he tells me to stay the hell AWAY from the Dunwich building because "weird shit goes on there" or something. Well, I go down and as I approach it I see this big boxy ominous black building just in the middle of a field. Mid-afternoon, I still think it's creepy. I go in, turn left holy shit it's dark and there are skeletons everywhere. I check out the guy's tapes and the last one says "I'll have a roof for the night" and there's a skeleton right next to the holotapes so I figure something got him, right? So I'm going through this dark as hell place with nightmare fuel provided by these creepy logs plus the place is infested with my second most feared enemy due to creepiness factor (after trogs) but I go deeper. Totally caught off guard by the hallucination and even more spooked by the "sharp knife to send him to deep temple" message. All in all a nice level! I still steer clear of the place though. 76.209.29.45 02:58, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

personally i don't really get scared too much by games anymore (considering i was 11 or 12 when the first silent hill came out and that totally made me shit my pants). but i did have one good spook when i was going through the broken bough of the rivet city ship. on my first time through (had no idea there was a water entrance) i picked the lock and went in. first thing i did was hit sneak cuz i could hear something moving around, i went in a little further and stepped on one of the mines, and right as i turned around a damn mirelurk was like 2 inches from my face (my first encounter with a mirelurk), surprised the hell outta me. BraddaJ 04:39, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

I think the scariest moment was that place with the molerats where you meet your first ferals, on the way to GNR. I turned around & A molerat just came out of nowhere, I nigh on shat myself. Pararaptor 04:47, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Lol, same thing happened 2 me as AngryNorwegianDude when i first met a centaur.... Silent.Killa78 >:) 06:58, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Dicking around in the Minefield at level like fucking three, at night, I finally make it into the dead center of the place, I'm completely surrounded by mines, just a few hours into the game, and of course that's when the mental sniper there decides to pop up and Alabanjorape me so he can take me to his old beaten down house, and probably cut me up and yell at me in his hick accent, and the result was me scrambling around like a chicken with its head cut off in a mine field setting off every mine in the place with no health cuz I took one bullet and that was enough to almost do me. Ten minutes of this until I end up offing him by chucking explosives under cover of a stack of cars or something.-Amontillado

im always sacred shitlss in fallout 3 :( alot of times when im in the waste land and i hear something behind me im usually too scared to turn arond...its funny when it turns out to be one of those blootfly things tho...but umm most of your moments ive been smooked at...but my first major 2 scaryy moments was hen i first saw a mole rat...and the seccond one was outside of super duper mart...where under som RANDOM occurence a Giant radscropian was fight some raiders. he it killed the raiders and was nutral or frieindly and i shot it...it stayed there and walked around but it said dangerous....soo i leave go to the town with the ants...and then come bak..on my way around the gate bak in to the parkin lot i hear somethin behindd me my bro was tehre and we were both scared to turn around...so i slowly turned around there it waz a Freekin HUGE!!!! radscorpincommin right at me...i swaer it almost gave me a heart attack i dropped the controller and ran LOOLL!...those sthings are scary when there little and 100 yards away....but GIANT!? and right BEHIND YOU!!!? oh i swaer to god i almost died....so yea....and EVERYBODY CHEKK OUT MY STORY ON MY PAGE!! ITS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT BUT THE PART I HAVE IS GOOD- GreatDetroitTribe I quick traveld to a satcom place neer raven rock base and there was a allout war aginst robot enclave and radscorpins i got there then boom lazers missels flaying by me i allmost had a heart attack--Xxuberdood 04:43, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Dunwich by far. You hear ghouls screaming in the darkness and then the glowing one. Holy shit

First time I went to Old Olney, on my way to Dave's Republic. I see something red in the map and decide to go away. A deathclaw goes out from the town and I start shooting while walking backwards. Suddenly I can't move, because of a rock behind me, and i think, well that monster is really far, I have time enough for looking a new way. I turn around, make sure there nothing behind me and turn around again to face the faraway deathclaw. IT WAS ON MY F*****G FACE!!! I even shouted and got killed. When I slaughtered all Old Olney's deathclaws I feel I had my revenge.

In Point lookout, swimming out to a buoy without checking for mirelurks. After I swam to the bottom, I turned around and saw three right behind me D: --DragonJTSLeave me a message 14:46, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Wandering around the Steelyard looking for Ingots, Trogs were everywhere. I was alone, barely armed, and it was quiet. Worse part was the factory. What with the Wildmen and Trogs. But the scariest part was when I found that closet with the skeleton and the terminal. I read all the logs, each one more bone-chilling than the next. When I was done reading the last log (About how the protectetrons killed all the workers), I grabbed the Ingots in that room and prepared to leave, but I heard something. Metal footsteps walking towards my position. I loaded my .32 pistol and steadied it, walked out of the room saying, "Where are you?" Around the corner was a friendly protectatron walking towards me. Even though it was friendly, it still scared the shit out of me. I thought "Is this a coincidence or...?" It told me to move along, so that's exactly what I did.

Fallout IS psychological torment. There hasnt been a single time I've played it and haven't been scared in some way or another. Its all situational too. In the middle of the day, different things are scarier than when you play it in the pitch dark at midnight. Or maybe, I'm just jumpier than the average human male... God, even the naughty nightwear guy scared the living hell out of me... Dont even want to TALK about Point Lookout... (Scariest Location: 106) Noteworthy Contradiction 22:27, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

So, I take it you haven't been to the Deathclaw Sanctuary. Butcher Pete 22:42, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

When journeying around the forest branching away from the boardwalk in Point Lookout, after I cleared away the dogs and still hadn't found out I needed to go to the Calvert Mansion, I start hearing some heavy footsteps behind me, and BAM! Right behind me was a Tracker. D3V0NST8R 7:51 P.M., 28 June 2009 (UTC)

<::loneplunderer::>: when i first met a deathclaw after meeting the enclave, i slaughtered an enclave camp, got a deathclaw cage key off on of em, went to the cage and went "alright, lets see what we got here", opened, it did its "look outside of the cage and roar thing", i didn't move, just was stunned, after it finished its roar, i just closed the cage, walked backward, and decided to not touch the cage.

Ferals are scary too but, ive seen enough zombie flicks to just ignore their features and imagine them as people, people who want to eat me. (Unsigned)

The only thing that really makes me jump a little anymore is the snap-clang of a beaer trap I hadn't seen. Sad, but true. --98.215.132.216 18:37, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

My true moment of fear was when I was going to try getting in raven rock again together with star paladin cross and didnt know there actually was a normal 'path' (the first time I just quicktravelled away). So I was like lv. 18 or so and I'm trying to jump and glitch myself to the top of that tall mountain and when I finally get there, I walk a bit, look back to see if cross was still covering my back, then saw a deathclaw at like 10 feet away. Almost made me jump off my nice chair. At first I thought he had eaten cross, and he had startled me out off my mind, so me mad as a brahmin throwing nuka grenades at him. Then the lasers were there and I knew cross was alive. Damn Deathclaw.

Scariest thing is when my stepson comes in. Because I know he want the XBOX for some Halo3. V.A.T.S. addict 05:02, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

By far the Scariest moment i have had is when i was in Vault 92 for Agatha's song quest and I walked around the cornor to become face to face with a ugly mother fucking mirelurk King.Screamed throughout the whole house at midnight--ZeroPro 16:43, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

You're all too easily frightened. The scariest moment for me was when Kenny was trying to sound like a ghost. "OoOoOoOoOo" AlbinoTitan 22:12, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Lol, Zeropro, The EXACT same thing happened to me! It scared the hell out of me! "Hmm, going down to testing labs, playing around with my pip-boy.... Gah! A Fucking Mirelurk King! Silent.Killa78

The Angry Norwegian shares my initial horror at the sight of centaurs. When I first started playing the game I knew next to nothing about the Fallout mythos. Needless to say, my first encounter with a centaur was one of panic, screaming, and wild baseball bat swinging. Until I got to higher levels and became more experienced with the game, I never used anything but frag grenades on centaurs and mirelurks to kill them in VATS as absolutely fast as possible. --DGoose 00:42, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Deathclaw running towards you = pretty scary. Seeing a deathclaw run towards you when you've thrown a bottlecap mine down about two metres ahead = pretty hilarious. It's all context really. 90.201.91.94 03:35, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

I was wandering through the Wasteland in sneak mode (tired of being caught off guard by robots) and decided I was going too slow so I got out of sneak and ran towards Tenpenny Tower. I crouch down every once in a while to see if anything has spotted me when I see a red blip on my compass, I go into vats and see a little Radscorpian. Thinking "Ok, this should be easy" I pull out my laser rifle, shoot the crap out of it, and crouch down again. Then out of nowhere a Protectron, Yoa Gui, and Deathclaw spawn and kill me. I was like, wtf?!!!?? all of them in one place!--Lostevil99 04:19, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

What scared me the most was when i was in Dunwhich for the first time having ghouls just sneak up behind you, but the scariest parts was when stuff just flew through the air, doors opening on their own and the creepy sounds.

ive had more than a few scary moments in the game. like traps suddenly going off or a creature sneaking up behind you like death claws or yao guais. but even when i first saw them i was a bit jittery but not scared. the biggest jump moment for me was when i ran over to this shelf now i had the volume on my tv really high and i was really un scared of the place i was in and when i get within about 5 feet of the shelf BOOM two rigged combat shottys go off in my face and i jump about five feet in the air and my heart stops needless to say i dont have the volume up high any more. but the place that creeped me out the most was Dunwhich even though i had the ghoul mask the hallucination coupled with the voice messages of the man as he slowly turned into a feral ghoul (especially the last one) made me fell creeped to the bone i dont think ill be going back there anytime soon o and i do recamend getting the ghoul mask early on its very useful

I was wrong about what scared me most in this game. Dead wrong. Just went through the Red Racer Factory with Broken Steel installed. Somebody please hold me and tell me everything'll be okay... T_T --DGoose 07:51, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

The background noise for the Red Racer factory is heavy breathing. Creeps the hell out of me. Also, playing the game on very hard, you will be horrified the first time you try to take out a mirelurk at low level. Nothing like emptying FIVE clips of 5.56 at something that just keeps coming toward you to chop you into bits. DreadPirateMurphy 16:20, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm afraid it's much worse than that, friendo. Turn up your volume and listen closely in the Red Racer Factory. You'll hear the same creepy whispers of arcane names you do in the Dunwich Building. It's nerve-wracking if you're playing at 3 AM. --DGoose 07:08, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

When I was at Ark & Dove Bural Ground for the first time I didn't expect there to be 3 reavers 2 glowing one's and a shitload of swamp ghoul's there so I was trying to click on ever gravestone to see if there was anything there when I lost a chunk of health, looked up and see 2 glowing one's and a couple of swamp ghouls running towards me, turned around and saw 3 reavers scratching my ass, that really scared the hell outta me. Gabriel Cortez 16:41, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

My first time playing, my first booby-trap. I was walking up the stairs near the Irradiated Metro to the Super Mutants at the top. It was really quiet and, out of nowhere, this Combat Shotgun goes off, scaring the hell out of me.BannerT 21:35, 23 July 2009 (UTC)BannerT

Like all other people traps on first time play scared me but also when you wonder into old olney for 1st time... scared the hell outta me BTW new to forums so if i make mistakes please let me know Sasquatch99 22:10, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

The scariest moment for me so far has been Vault 82 (I think, the one full of Super Mutants) I was like, level 13 and playing it in a pitch black room, with barely any Stimpacks...scary stuff..[PHO3NIX] 00:25, 29 July 2009

I think it's really the atmosphere of a place that'll get your heart pumping, more than the baddies. The enemies are creepy sometimes, but what makes me tense up is when I'm in a building/room/wherever, and I know there are traps somewhere. And if I don't pay attention, I'm gonna get a shotgun blast to the face, or a dead cow hitting me in the back. When you know something is going to happen, your just not sure when or where, those moments are fun. ~~Zool7

On my first play through during "those!" I got the ant queen teleport glitch and thought I had gotten turned around so I went back and couldnt find the door so I thought I was trapped.GodPlageon 05:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

falling into the sewer trap door above the old olney sewers sucked. then i go in the door and walk around... seeing those deathclaws right on your face after you turn a corner is the scariest thing ever. The cheat 06:31, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Deathclaws don't scare me. They just make me sigh and say,"...Shit." AlbinoTitan 11:14, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Well I think that if you turn around and see a deathclaw a millisecond before he strikes you then you might get shocked which is a form of fear while it's not long lasting. Gabriel Cortez 12:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Deathclaws do not scare me, although I do loath them. What does scare me is when a mob or a trap occours when you are least suspecting it. I was retreating over a bridge in the DC area walking backwards. Super mutants chasing me I suddenly hear a bing bing bing of a mine. Fine I shall just keep running backwards and it won't harm me. Then I hear a chorus of beeps'. Oh snap. Mc Scarlett 13:01, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

This is weird, but most scary moment for me was Vault 87. Well, not the vault itself, but when i entered Sound Testing Area, three Mirelurk Hunters started punching me. I ran to the corner, and soon i found myself with three Hunters going at me, without any possibility to escape. I could see tiniest detail at their ugly faces. That was scary. Rothessy 16:47, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

the second time i went to the makeshift shack at the greener pastures disposal site, when the once dead wasteland recluse started coming at me with a crazed look on his face my lungs nearly jumped out of my ass. Hero of the wastes 12:18, August 2 2009 (UTC)

One of the scariest moments for me was going through Vault 87. No other place seems as dark and creepy as that place, except for the dunwich building. In vault 87 there was always something just eerie about the placce and when I ran around the corner one time without checking my radar I ran straight into a super mutant.

The first time I play Fallout 3 what really scares me off was seeing Ghouols in the metro tunnels, I almost shit my pants. But one funny thing happened to me a few days ago that really scares me off, when I started another game from scratch. I was in level two, almost three and decided to make the Galaxy News Radio quest right away (usually I wait until level 5 to start it). Then I past Supper Dupper Mart and was entering Farragut West Metro Station. When I put my foot on the stairs I hear all sorts of firing and screams and turn to see what is happened and was a fight between two Talon Merc and a Deathclaw!!! No need to say that the beast ripped apart the mercs really quick, since they are weak in the beggining to levelled the player. Imagine that, you in level two with only the 10mm pistol, a Hunting Rifle with a few shots and a Baseball bat against a Deathclaw. Luckly I always go to hidden mode before entering a metro station, so he didn't see me, but he stared in the proximity, looking for something (me!!!). I run like hell, what a rush! :D Brfritos 07:12, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Ayea, first time I played fallout 3 I got to Super Duper Mart at lvl 2 only and there stood a deathclaw, needless to say i crapped my pants. Gabriel Cortez 08:14, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
______________________________________________________
The First time i played fallout 3 i went to andale and killed these people who looked normal like the war had never happened. The kid said his dad and uncle were always working in their basement and shed and how the kid was supposed to marry his cousin. So i killed the guy...bill wilson i think? and it gave me a key to the shed so i went in...there are Freakin bodies hanging in there and refrigerators. i opend one it said strange meat (10) I was like screw this but when i walked out the kids dad was outside with two wives....they tryed to kill me! then the dad had a key to the basement...i still haven't gone it to the basement that shit is just wierd!

Well, seeing how this has been gravedug, I may as well put up my $0.02 here. =P

So, there I was - Point Lookout. Just on my way to the Ark and Dove Cathedral for the first time. I'm just poking along, not really caring about much anything, wearing CSA just in case - then I get to the bridge (you know which one I'm talking about). My reaction on seeing swampfolk for the first time could only be described as this. The deformities, their unnatural gait...eesh. Give me feral ghouls over those guys any day.

Another fun time occurred while I was traversing the Dunwich Building. Granted, the place is supposed to be scary by default, but it wasn't the Tome of Eldritch Lore's constant mutterings that got me - no, the one thing that scared me out of my mind was that...vision you have when you enter the second area. I literally shouted, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?" The rest of it? Meh. Jingwei's Shocksword and the CSA took care of most of my problems.

The Abominations of Mothership Zeta were the last things that creeped me out to no degree. Picture, if you will: you've been captured by aliens who constantly prod you with shock batons when you don't behave, and they amputate your arms and legs with the intention of giving you limbs (and an overall appearance, for that matter) that is more in line with the aliens. The worst part? If you're REALLY unlucky, they do this while you're still awake and conscious. The fact that Uncanny Valley plays heavily into this factor doesn't help matters at all. Titan AEX4 01:24, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

DUNWITCH BUILDING!!! That place is unholy!! Free the holy land and Nuke the MTF building!! Well , another one was when i first played the game, when i wa level 4, i went into a power plant at 12:00 at night, and saw 10+ feral ghouls! They chased me out and actually CAME OUT the factory and chased me down to a pool of water where i drowned myself.......

The abomanations...... well, they were VERY UNHOLY!!!! NUKE THE ABOMINATIONZZ!!!!

Imagine you were level 4, stuck on the top floor of Dunwitch building and the place was swarming with abominations and feral ghouls. OMG and mini Larry Libertyz!!! AAGGHH!! Nukey Fallout Sign Sparky (Radio) 01:40, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Dunwitch building gets scary when you are home alone on 2 a.m. I couldnt go to sleep after I got through that place. I always thought that there's some ghoul behind my window. Ketija998 10:25, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Just walking around level 3 trying to find the family 's base in blood ties walk past a rock bam a deathclaw i take out my 10mm and backed up shooting (it didnt help i was backing up into a wall and my gun sucked) i died and left the mission be fot a bit i didnt want to go back. I have two things that scary as hell in the game: Mutated bugs (But not boatflies) and Glitches, and its FUCKING worse when you put them thogether. I was in a random encounter were some giant ants were fighting a giant radscorpion, they were miles away so i didn´t care but all of a sudden they apear right in front of me and star killing me, And since that day i use a diaper when i see a radscorpion or ants.Revolversolid 19:34, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, honestly, it was the first time I played fallout 3 and I think I was like level 2-3. I just got out of Silver's house and I see the Springfield Elementary School. I was like "ok their might be somthing cool in this building". So I go over their, and see Raiders for the first time, and was like "why the fudge are these people shooting at me I didn't do anything to them!" So I eventually kill them all with my Baseball Bat and 10mm Pistol. Then I go in the building and see a bunch of dead bodies hanging from the ceiling and I'm like "WTF?!" Then I go and eventually kill all the raiders, and I barely had any health left. I was actually more scared of dying than anything else. Oddly enough when I saw my first deathclaw and first ghoul, I wasn't scared at all. (Well I wasn't scared of the Deathclaw because I had some Brotherhood Outcasts helping me, I ended up killing it with a lead pipe while the Outcasts Distracted it.)Shadow 21:06, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

OK, so here I am, somewhere in the Metro. I really gotta take a dump, but I was holding it until I got to GNR. I'm skipping through the damn dirty Metro, kicking the rat shit out of the stupid ghouls down there and the occasional mole rat. So I turn a corner and (I have my volume way up) and Dogmeat barks. The biggest stream of diahrrea you'd ever see shot out of my ass like a rocket. I pause the game, run upstairs to the bathroom, change my pants and come back down. Wouldn't you know it, I forget to turn the volume back down. A fricking shotgun trap goes off. I didn't crap myself that time.HoboHunter28 01:26, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Mine was truly tramatizing. I had just gotten the game so I had never felt it's scary and I went into the Deathclaw Sanctuary.

La la la la la, OOH MY FUGGING GOSH- my shoddy sensory excluded -guess what I saw. 12 deathclaws you say. Why yes, yes I did. Let's say my little brother had lost all wish to play. 75.210.247.246 16:43, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

When I was in the Pitt collecting ingots and I was climbing the tower. I had killed all of the wildmen and was just cruising when I see an assload of trogs just sprinting up the staircases. I started to climb to the top of the tower but there was no way out, and I looked to the side and saw the bridge. i jumped and landed on the bridge and the motherfuckers are still chasing me, running over the bridge, so I was leaping down with them right behind me.

Meeting the Queen Fire Ant. The only saving grace was that I had the Alien Blaster. When I saw it I just ran away, went to the scientist, shot him and followed him so he'd run to the queen. The lair was decorated with his limbs.

Hooboy... I've had a lot of scares but the scariest? The first time I played through the Pitt. I sided with Werhner so I had to go through the sewers to the power thing. The place is infested with an ungodly amount of trogs. And the freakiest thing about the little buggers? Most of the time they were below my sightline. Which makes them scarier some how. I literally din't do the Pitt again for months because I feared trogs so much. The other scares are Vault 106 (I was unprepared for wild blueness and Dad), Vault 87 (Too many things trying to eat me) and Old Olney (I think you know why).

First time I saw a mole rat, no joke. I was wandering the wasteland right after I got past Megaton and I was tapping the VATS key in case something was around and I turned around to see a mole rat, mouth open seconds away from biting my f'ing face off. I literally pissed myself.

Dunwich Building the first time was great, greatly spooky, straight after I got the game when I was like 12 and I went straight to Springfield school, and there was so many raiders and it was so cramped, and I freaked out the whole time. But what takes the cake is going through Vault 87 (Muties), the Drugged up vault, and the Gary vault. THey are all so cramped, so every turn you make you could be attacked. When I turned a corner once, I was slightly distracted, around 3 Gary's jumpedm out and attacked me, and I jumped, literally. Many more things like that have happned.

I am new to fallout and the scariest moment was when i got near the DC and saw a mutant for the first time . It was 00:32 by then and i dunno but it creeped me out. It didnt noticed me but still. When i got used to them.OmegaSpruz 10:21, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

First time in Vault 106 was pretty much the only time i was scared. I went into Dunwich building at a high level with a ghoul mask to get the bobblehead, so it wasn't as scary. Jaco208 04:07, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Waking up to Amanta's face at the start of escape. Hahahaha.

First Deathclaw by far.

I just got off the president's trian to Adam's Airforce and was met by Fawke's body that should still be in a cell, in vault 87 in the capital wasteland! I'm being hunted. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 16:35, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

I was in Vault 92, looking for violine. So i went to the lower levels of the Vault. I entered a room, and the screen blackened while it was loading. As soon as I entered a room I heard Mirelur King making his characteristic sounds. I looked a bit, but couldn't find him. So I returned to the door, and decided to exit the room, and then re-enter (It was a bug, so this would fix it-I thought). I entered first room, turned around and re-entered the second, "bugged" room. That's when it happened.

Face of a Mirelurk King was practicly all over my screen, opening his mouth and looking at me.

I screamed and fell of the chair. When I stood up, i saw that Charon had King's brains spilled on the wall, but, man, I'll never forget that. Like in some bad horror movie...

Now, everytime I journey to Vault 92, I make sure that Dogmeat goes in front of me. :D Atomkilla 23:36, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Yo cool story bro. The first ghoul reaver. It was when I was a pro, and had around 5 playthroughs, so only a few weeks ago. I was running through Point Lookout, and across the crashed plane it came, and I hit it with the gauss rifle 3 times, and barely anything on his health bar dropped. I took out my Heavy Incinerator, and shot loads. He was nobody near death. 5 minutes and 30 stimpaks later, it died. For modest loot, I was pissed. I have it on Very Hard BTW.

O.k this is getting scary now. Fawkes' body is FOLLOWING ME! No joke. Killed him in his cell in Vault 87, he shows up in the Adam's air force side of the Presidential metro. I mutilated him with the dismemberer (axe) and left the body there. Then when i got flown to the citadel there he was, right in the middle of the courtyard! Im really quite scared now. Help. Floating Fawkes bodies that follow you. At least you weren't in the Dunwich Building when the door opens by itself and the fawkes body is waiting for you, and then an mirv goes off. My scariest experience was zooming in with a sniper rifle trying to get some super mutants at a church, turning to the left and being zoomed in like 15 feet into the face of a centuar.

Putting Perception at 1 and running around in desolate places. Trust me, don't do it.MPLX Fantasurge 09:00, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

For me it was my first [of 2] playthroughs/ vault 101 quest escape! i had just finished killing the three vault gaurdes [that kill those two people who are also trying to escape]. i head up a flight of stairs that says "^uper atrium^". i then hear a strange nois of hissing, kind of like a propane tank getting ready to explode so look around to see whats up and i see ..........can you guess it................this retarded little bug-thing [radroach] jumping at me, scary as

hell....................................http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User:Rohtvak

NEVER been scared of this game, especially because I NEVER turn off my radio. Everything that might otherwise have been scary or creepy was incredibly fun and exciting thanks to 3 Dog's DJ-nut voice...
