I despised Oblivion's feeble followers. It was like playing a pen and paper RPG as the only player, in a party of expendable NPCs. FO3, well that was like playing a pen and paper RPG with one other player, who was deaf/mute and possibly mildy mentally impaired. I'd like a return to FO1 and FO2 style followers - a big list of individuals, variable party size based on Charisma and a little more depth and story to the characters. They weren't especially tough all the time, but man were they memorable. --Johnny Trash (Talk) 09:41, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

A really badass ex-paladin of the Brotherhood Of Steel, Neither Veronica in New Vegas and the other paladin girl (Dont even remember her name!) in Fallout 3 pleases me well :/

Just a random list of potentially interesting companions: a dwarf, a psyker, a cannibal, a smooth-talking person trying to play your evil conscience, an immigrant from a distant land. A very interesting companion would be a fairly well-adjusted but naive person from one of the control vaults, and you get to play the savvy wastelander showing them the ropes.--OvaltinePatrol 08:31, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Forums: Index > Fallout series general discussion > What sort of follower yould you like to see the most in an FO game?

I think it'd be pretty cool to have a really awesome looking robot follower, almost like a securitron. A robot that looks cool, can fight well, but isn't invincible like Fawkes was in FO3. I still want to feel sort of important as the player and not have my follower stealing all my thunder or keeping me from having a chance to shoot anything.

EPIC FOLLOWER IDEA 1: While FO3 had some of what I consider to be rather dull followers, FO2 had some pretty freaking awesome ones. But what I really want to see is a super epic deathclaw follower whos totally big and awesome like those big ones enclave keep in cages in FO3, but doesn't walk around in some disguise. He - hmm, I guess it should be a she. You dont really get to see very many, if any, big mean female creatures - should be able to run around with unarmed weapons (sort of like in Fallout Tactics, I guess) and just powerfist everything to death. Kinda like Fawkes, but better at melee. Oh, but not so ridiculously well-armored and fast-healing like Fawkes, cause he's through the roof overpowered. EPIC FOLLOWER IDEA 2: Or maybe some kinda pre-war cryostasis follower like in Mothership Zeta, but with more depth, and, of course, one that you could take around with you, unlike those guys on Zeta who just hang out on the ship after it's all over. EPIC FOLLOWER IDEA 3: That talking scorpion who plays chess in FO2. In fact, that's clearly the best one available. A talking, chess-playing radscorpion. Yeah. I actualy would like a follower system like oblivion. Its the greatist when you rule all the factions and have a squad of five minions. Sure they kinda suck in combat but I like that they wernt made of some kind of super skin that can withstand a nuke.--Radiated Raider 23:30, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

After playing Fallout 3 for the many hours, I thought it would be cool to create a follower. You could decide whether it's male or female, human, ghoul or mutant, tag skills, stuff like that. Also, I wish followers that have good skills like lockpick and science could unlock doors for you if you're lacking. Bdude5 09:51, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

I want a PC from a previous Fallout game to be a companion option. Such as the Lone Wanderer as an option in an upcomming Fallout 4.

A Guerrilla. No, not GORilla. GUErilla. Pretty much a Jericho wearing camouflage. --Viper720666 02:31, November 24, 2010 (UTC)

I'd like to see another build-a-bot follower along the lines of Skynet, however with more quest-style stuff to upgrade it later. Agent c 04:12, November 24, 2010 (UTC)

The only follower i need is THE ADORING FAN. I need someone to give me a back rub and kiss every bit of ground i step on.--Mastererium 02:53, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

A Newfoundlander. Could you imagine? A follower with an East Coast Canadian accent I think would be hilarious -M

Maybe a Brotherhood of Steel member dipped in FEV. Kind of like Frank Horrigan but not a super evil Enclave super boss.--PUKEBOT2000 16:45, April 16, 2011 (UTC)PUKEBOT 2000

To be completely honest, ED-E with the followers upgrade is one of the best followers I think. Maybe another one like that but with more than just beeps, like an actual AI personality, other than that a child with a proficiency for heavy/energy weapons would be funny. Just have a kid skipping around you with an Experimental MIRV, or Tesla Cannon. Think about it. --Dlaxrcc123 18:01, April 17, 2011 (UTC)

A monkey that delights in throwing excrement at your enemies. --Cartman! 04:14, April 21, 2011 (UTC)
