The other day I was watching a fan-made Fallout 4 teaser trailer on YouTube. It was really well done, I almost thought it was the real thing. Ron Perlman's narration was even thrown into it at the end. The music that was playing was The Sound Of Silence, by Simon & Garfunkle. While the teaser trailer was a fake, the music really fit in with atmosphere the trailer displayed, bleak, lonely, and very quiet. Some music from those two wouldn't be too bad.--[[User:Ryker61|Ryker61]]10:55, September 3, 2012 (UTC)~3:54am 9/3/2012

*Music made specifically for the game would be great, and I thought that was a very interesting feature of Dead Money. There's still so much more that they could do with it though, as none of the new games (not sure of F1 & F2) have had any post-apocolyptic music. It's just been the old classics, which while needed to set the tone, exclude the ideas of the new societies in the Wastes.
  +
  +
*As far as artist, I would like to see any hits from the Rolling Stones and other bits of rock from similar artist... though their place in the Divergence is lost on me so that may not be feasible.
  +
  +
*I think the idea of DLC introducing more variety is great, or even if there was an option to have a radio station that plays music saved on the hardrive. That may sound like a little much, but if it was possible for GTA:Vice City way back on the old xbox, it should be something easily handled by now.

Nice list Trolly.

What I'd like to see is this: DLC's coming with new play lists for the radio stations or even better, new radio stations set in the DLC new areas.

I've also got a list of Fallouty songs however I won't share them all here as it'll take far too long to type them out but to name a few, here goes:

Memories are made of this: Dean Martin

Dear Hearts and gentle people - Bing Crosby

Nagasaki - Al Bowley & Lew Stone version

Looney - Al Cooper & His Savoy Sultans

Between the Devil & the Deep Blue Sea - Ella Fitzgerald & Eddie Duchin & his Orchestra [this a real cracker of a tune!!!]

and finally -

We three [my echo, my shadow and me] - The Ink Spots

This is part of a play list I'm coalating to submit to the guys at Bethesda for the next fallout game.

I just came across this gem! What a cracker for Fallout. Apparently its on the Fallout3 extended radio playlist mod. - Atom & Evil - Golden Gate Quartet [1]Captain Taipan 09:04, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

I think the Nat King Cole cover of "You're the Cream in my Coffee" would be good. Idhan 04:46, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

Original Fallout 1 Music. -Nuka Panda

Nature boy - Nat King Cole

Also, seeing that F:NV featured songs from the 60's, why not include some psychedelic rock? I can see me going on a postal-style rampage in a vault whilst listening to some Jimi Hendrix, cream, pink floyd etc. That would work.

Would also like to hear music by the beatles, James Brown, Solomon Burke, Sir Joe Quarterman, basically the possibilities are endless, I hope they go the way of GTA and give us a variety of stations. Tactictoe 22:15, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

I seriously doubt that in the FO universe psychodelic rock would have ever developed and even if it did, it was so marginalised and unpopular that it never took a hold in the public consciousness like it did in our reality. Yes we hear a few tunes that date from the 1960's however they are stylistically in tune [no pun intended] with the overall tone of the the FO music. We know that Elvis made it in the FO universe and that rock and roll [which is just upbeat rhythm and blues anyway] became popular. However 1950's Elvis rock is lightyears away from mid 60's Beatles or Jimi Hendrix.

^^^ Yeah, no doubt taking the divergence into account that makes sense, I was thinking in pure personal preference terms, there would be something magical about running from one hellish piece of landscape to another whilst 'voodoo child' or 'all along the watchtower' blasts out! Cheers for the comment though Tactictoe 11:03, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

I think that artists like Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Chubby Checker, Bobby Darin, Little Richard work/songs etc would probably be acceptable in a FO game but only their work before 1964. I also suspect that its a pain in the ass and not to mention expensive to get the rights from the various license & rights holders of popular tunes & songs to put into a FO game soundtrack/playlist. Captain Taipan 00:50, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

I'd like to see a bit of Buddy Holly or something along the lines of that, yes I know a wee bit of a divergence from the jazz/big band music style of fallout, but a real sound of the 50s nonetheless. We had almost everything but the music from elvis in New Vegas. Anyone else?Pseudoman 01:20, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

Personally id like to hear a bit of Elvis music in the FO universe. A great one for F: NV would have been Jailhouse Rock (I think you all know why) and Such a night. (Again, i think you know why) But my personal list of songs id like to see are these: 1. Jailhouse Rock- Elvis 2. Such a Night- Elvis 3. You aint nothin but a hound dog- Elvis 4. I don't want to set the world on fire (I know it was n FO 3 but it was a perfect FO song) 5. Any kind of 50's Swing. It can be fun music cant it? 6. Classical Music, something like Agtha's Station but with real composers. Mozart or instance. Or Bach. 7. Blues music, Mind you im thinking of 50's Chicago blues. Well thats my 2 caps worth. User: Colonel Aaron 01:57, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

I'll be honest, I like the music that they have in the fallout games because it does set the mood and stick to the retro futuristic tone, but there are times when I would love to fight some super mutants or death-claws while some heavy metal is playing. I know it's totally out of sink with the game's style, but I did like Fallout BOS's soundtrack: Slipknot, Static X, etc. It would be cool if at least one radio station would play something like that. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me on this, but that's just how I feel. Zac hemker 05:16, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

One word: Sinatra. Yes-Man 07:28, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Anything Rockabilly

Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music, dating to the early 1950s.

The term rockabilly is a portmanteau of rock (from rock 'n' roll) and hillbilly, the latter a reference to the country music (often called hillbilly music in the 1940s and 1950s) that contributed strongly to the style's development. Other important influences on rockabilly include western swing, boogie woogie, and rhythm and blues. While there are notable exceptions, its origins lie primarily in the Southern United States.

The influence and popularity of the style waned in the 1960s, but during the late 1970s and early 1980s, rockabilly enjoyed a major revival of popularity that has endured to the present, often within a rockabilly subculture.
