Fallout is renowned for its dark humor as well as depictions of the horrors and realities of the post-apocalyptic world. But sometimes you're hit with such a sudden shift between the two that when you stop to think about it, you can't help but think how completely messed up this series is on many levels.
Examples of what I'm referring to:
- Necropolis, you're confronted with the horror of humans irradiated to the point their skin fell off but then you get hit with Set's "Dirt Nap" silliness.
- The Enclave oil rig, you meet a brain damaged Vice President and a Monica Lewinski joke then walk into a presidential spiel about a systematic world wide genocide.
- Little Lamp Light, kids, wazer wifles, MacCready the snot nosed brat, Sticky etc... but then you get sick to your stomach by the whole "Sell Bumble into slavery" bit.
- New Vegas is just chock full of them, OWB as a whole, Yes Man and many others.
So, which of these or other instances of such a sudden shift do you guys consider to be the absolutely most jarring and extreme in the whole of the Fallout series? Dr. Lobotomy 18:52, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
