In Fallout,The War is not a World wide war but just between China and America. Which means there is hundreds of countries that have not been hit by Nukes.

  • Which brings up the question why aren't there any allied countries trying to re-build America?
  • Why are there no possible looters coming to America to take some of the things that we have left behind?

The war was world-wide, and many countries were destroyed. Jol87 00:47, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

The Middle East and Europe were both destroyed from the Resource Wars before the bombs were dropped (And were presumably nuked afterwards). We don't know much about the Soviet Union, but considering that it was a superpower and a U.S. rival, it was probably nuked (Dukov chose to leave to come to the 'States, so things over there are presumably worse). China would be completely gone, their cities are so dense and close together. A bunch of China's annexed neighbors probably met the same fate. The U.S. (Including Canada) and Mexico were both hit by bombs. As for the rest of the world, the environmental effects would result in chaos as food/resources became scarce, so while the infrastructure wouldn't be as destroyed as the Wasteland, anarchy and unrest are still the same. --GaussRifle 18:40, November 12, 2011 (UTC)

All's good then here in Australia, why would anybody bomb us! I'd love to have a UK fallout, but the extreme US bias of Fallout means it'll still be in the US. Damn americans and their selfishness. --VivaRonaldo 10:59, January 29, 2012 (UTC)

The whole point of Fallout's setting is a parody of 1950s America (Suburbia, Leave it to Beaver, Duck and Cover). Why is that so hard for limeys to grasp? The whole thing wouldn't work in a dismal, 1950s-style London... Christ! --76.16.85.100 18:41, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

I think the rest of the world is mostly wasteland, much like the US, even though some countries were not bombed they wouldn't escape the resulting fallout, food and energy shortages etc. It's not unlikely that some countries have survived and are faring better than U.S or China but since none of those countries will never make it into a Fallout game we'll never know. Wish all you like, but Fallout UK or Fallout Russia is never going to happen unless some modder with a huge amount of time on his hands makes it so. It wouldn't really be Fallout if it took place in another country. Fallout is all about America; the history, the culture, the music - everything. A Fallout game taking place in the UK for example wouldn't have the feel of the other games and they'd have to hire british voice actors.. unless you want americans doing british accents. A fallout taking place in South America, Russia or China would be ever harder to accomplish. Should the NPC's speak spanish, russian and chinese with subtitles? Should they speak english with horrendous foreign accents? No, Fallout is and always will be an American game and there are still lots of exciting places in the U.S for more Fallout games.
