Because its radioactive and it would suck really bad if you, me or anyone else was walking through the wasteland and it started to rain. We would be hit with radiation and soon get radiation poisoning and possibly die if you had minor or average radiation poisoning or you couldn't find shelter in time. - If it were to rain or snow in the wasteland it wouldn't kill you "quickly" although it would be more unpleasant... let's just say catching snow flakes in your mouth it wouldn't taste very good.

ok i have a feeling that the rain in fallout is not the radiantion kind, i think that because in fallout 1 and 2 people that are in farms and other areas will say shit like "it has not rained for days". if it was rain that would kill people and there plants then thay would not wish for rein. snow is a big idk for me, in the 1st 2 thay put it in areas that did not get that much snow in the 1st place, but in # 3 thay just did not go with snow. but ya rain would be really cool to haveMrDot01 14:12, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure Fallout 3 is set in the summer, and it doesn't rain that often in D.C. during the summer. Doesn't have a whole lot to do with radiation or any other conspiracy theory, it's just the way our capital is during that season - sweltering hot and arid dry. Me 3:03, February 8, 2011 (EST)
When you leave Vault 101 its August, last full month of summer, then its September which will still be alittle warm but not cold. October comes and by the end of the month temperatures are perfect for rain from all the water evaporated during the summer months. November you should see more rain storms. Once a week at most then December rolls around and more rain storms are prominent and by the end of the month and Janauary 2278, snow should be precipatating. Ok I'm just gonna throw it out there that in New Vegas Storm clouds were brewing, I could hear the thunder and the sun was blocked out with clouds. I was near Black Mountain. Also in honest hearts there was fullblown rain comming down. Juss sayin',
I thought they added rain in F3 with Broken Steel, did they not? Also rain wouldn't be that deadly, time would have diminished rad levels. And no snow in NV because its a desert...as for DC idk
Would be an interesting game play mechanic if snow could warn you of rads? For instance in a normal area snow would look white, but it would glow brightly if it was in an irradiated. XxSick DemonxX 19:40, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
I'm with the idea of nuclear fallout changing the earths weather patterns. Maybe a shift in the jet streams or something along those lines. I'm leaning towards more violent weather. Horrendous hurricanes trapped in a never ending cycle in the middle of the oceans. F5 tornadoes ravaging the once wide-open plains of Africa. I just think the weather in the wasteland would be quite a bit different than your average sprinkle here and there. Dopesmylez 20:49, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
