Forums: Index > Wiki discussion > The Enclave Wiki Refurbishment!

Greetings again my fellow Nukapedians! I come to you again except for a different reason .

Most of you are now aware of the presence of the Enclave wiki, but, after discussing this with other members in chat, we have decided to put it to use! Myself, along with Clyde are currently in the process of stripping the wiki back to it's basics, and we're looking for ideas and suggestions. Our current plan is to turn it into a strategy wiki, where people will be able to post their unique play styles, strategies and advice relating to all games in the Fallout series.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, or anything you feel can assist, then feel free to post in the forum, on my talk located at the Enclave wiki, or feel free to contact us on here! I look forward to hearing from people. --DragonBorn96 23:17, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

There we go! Take it over for ourselves and create another sister wiki. :) Not sure about turning it into a strategy wiki, since I think we already have one, but it would be nice to see that wiki become something of at least minor usefulness. I'm still not going to be very active for awhile, but if I ever find some free time, I might throw a little time aside to help out there. Dragon Skål! 23:20, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

A Wiki for covering stuff thats outside of the main wiki's remit isnt unheard of - Memory Alpha has 2 IIRC. I think we've tried a strategy wiki with the Wasteland Survivial guide, but it didnt have the wiki's support. A sister wiki with our support from day 1 has the best possible chance of becoming great - we could support it with projects from here to add the limited strategy content we have to the start of the new page on the strategy wiki (along with an in article link) giving it a great start. I support the notion of it becoming a strategy wiki. What I would do is include major quests from each of the fallout games, and provide walkthroughs based on sneak, run n' gun, brute force, etc. for each quest to give ideas to people based on their playing style. I was thinking of categories such as quests, weapons and armors. Simple stuff and possibly some video walkthroughs.--Kingclyde 20:45, May 10, 2012 (UTC)

I myself was thinking videos might go well there. Settle the video walk-through issue once and for all. Speaking of videos, the old Vault had a youtube channel. Maybe Nukapedia should have one if videos are used on the Enclave wiki? VictorFaceMonitor Victor the Insane Cowboy Robot 22:11, May 10, 2012 (UTC)

I think we looked into videos, some of us said about this guy who used to make walkthrough videos, it's something that'll take time so that'll require further investigation.
On a side note, what with the refurbishment, I'm going to file for a name change. But what shall we have the name changed to? I'm just thinking of something like "falloutstrategy.wikia.com" but I'm open to suggestions. --DragonBorn96 23:04, May 11, 2012 (UTC)
I agree with the videos, but disagree on the name change. The Enclave: A Fallout Strategy Wiki has a nicer ring to it in my opinion. Plus, the enclave does represent cunning and deviousness, which are both derivatives of strategy, so it isn't as though the name has no conncection. AFollower 07:50, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

I was thinking "Enclave Command" or something like that? Agent c 12:23, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

I do like the reasoning behind AFollower's suggesting, and considering that the suggestions so far are Enclave related, I may not need to even change the URL. --DragonBorn96 12:39, May 13, 2012 (UTC)
