I was wondering what would be the best decision. Is it better to let Chat be independant from wikia like it is ,or to merge both as same entity?

Chat is independant, but on the other point, you need to have worked on the wiki to be a moderator there for example, and a community vote.

So this means your action in the wikia has a potential impact on the chat.Besides, you access the wikia chat going on wikia website.

You dont need to go on a specifi irc website to discuss.

So i was wondering if it wouldnt be better to merche both chat and wiki as entity.

Ohtherwise, if chat is independant, then, shouldnt we change the rules for being moderator for example, like replacing "having a certain number of edits" with "being active on chat". Not all members on wikia chat do edits, but they all use the wikia, thats a common point they share.

So if you had to vote about this, would you vote for letting chat "independant" or for merging his status with Wikia.

Letting it independant implies that the actions, good or bad, of members on the wikia, shouldnt have an impact on how they are treated in the chat, and how some decisions are taken. Merging implies that wikia chat means that chat is a place amongst others in wikia, that affects global consideration of a member on the wikia.

The chat and the wiki are already 1 entity, it is a part of the website and provided by wikia, not sure what you are getting at.

We discussed this some months ago, and decided that we want our chatmods to have at least a passing familiarity with editing to help people who have problems using the wiki. 50 Article edits is a token amount of editing to do.

I'm not sure what you are getting at, but you need to remember that the prime directive of this place is to be the ultimate fallout encyclopedia, not just a social club - other fallout wesbites cover that. Agent c (talk) 14:16, October 4, 2012 (UTC)

The chat and the wiki are separate entities, in a certain respect. If you are banned from the chat, it has no effect on your official status on the wiki, unless you are just here to troll. However, should your actions on the wiki result in a ban, it will disallow you to join the chat, as the latter is a part of the wiki as a whole, albeit separate. --Skire (talk) 18:40, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
