so i have been playing this game for over 150 hours and i have all the DLC's. but when the pitt came out i was disappointed that it was bugged. But the day it came out, when i was heading to the radio tower to start the first quest i got stuck in a little canyon and whn i reached the end i heard a loud boom and saw alien power cells everywhere! i thought, "wow, what a great day! i got the pitt and i triggered the firelance event!". so i was collecting the power cells and then i started looking for the weapon i sent dogmeat after it and waited but he couldnt find it. i must have spent over 3 hours looking for it but never found it. so i decided i will just go play the pitt for a little and come back. i got all the way th the entrance to the pitt and then my game started freezing and thats when i started throwing my controller and i finally gave up and came to the wiki to see what was wrong with the pitt. when i found out it was bugged massivly i got really pissed and i dont think i touched my game for like two weeks after i beat the "good" version of the pitt. but yesterday i decided to give it one last shot to find the firelance. like last tim i brought dogmeat and went to the exact place i was standing when i first got the encounter and i sent dogmeat to go find it and right when i sent him it said that the fire lance was added to my inventory. WTF!?!?!? it was right next to me the whole time. now im really pissed off. i mean seriously who is stupid enough to miss that? so i think im going to show dogmeat the buisness end of my shotgun... - Righto. He can also show up in a random encounter when you are facing tough enemies. However, that is only if you recline recruiting him as a companion at the Scrapyard in the first place...AngryNorwegianDude 11:46, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- my second character was the only one ever to encounter dogmeat outside the scrapyard. it was at one of the churches that is occupied by supermutants, tho i don't believe that i passed him up at the scrapyard previous to the encounter. BraddaJ 15:29, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
