Hi ive completed Fallout 3 on ps3 and are ready for the GOTY edition on october 13 but have some questions i have not yet had answered

1.Can i do quests i have not finished in the original game after i start a new dlc? 2. does the DLC add a new section a map or what? 3. do i have to do the dlc quests right after i get them or can a wonder freely and do it when i want? 4. and some basic info about how to add-ons work would be greatly appreciated..

thanks, CatSoup

Hi there, Cait Sith Cat Soup.
1. If you mean, say, do Reilly's Rangers after completing Operation: Anchorage, yes.
2. Each DLC adds at least one new map. Broken Steel and Point Lookout add two.
3. Depends on the DLC. Most can be started whenever you want (except Broken Steel's quests, they're after Take it Back!), but Mothership Zeta will start as soon as you approach the Alien Crash Site.
4. As soon as you start the game, you'll recieve a pop-up of having loaded each DLC, and a radio signal will start playing, to lead you to where the DLC starts. (Excpetion being Point Lookout, you'll find the Duchess on your own.) Nitty 01:21, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

Question for Nitty: Broken Steel's two map additions are Adams Airforce Base, and the Enclave Base correct? For Point Lookout, the main map is the first addition, but what is the second? Thanks in advance, cheers! 128.158.1.166 15:47, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

No, the two maps in BS are the Rockland Car Tunnel and Adams Air Force Base, the last one being the Enclave base. For PL, the two maps are PL main and the Sacred Bog. Perj 12:19, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

I also have a question. Im in mid game rite now, just playing the original game. If I buy the game of the year eddition can I just pick up wher i was on the old disk?--Radraider 16:15, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Sure you can. The saves made ingame are in a save folder. You can copy those saves in another folder, delete the entire game, reinstall and than put the saves back into the folder. Works fine. So i suppose when you install the same game from another CD, the saves can still be put in the folder :D Have fun!

There has been no official word on whether original game saves will work with GOTY. I'm sure the base game is still the same, but I don't know if the hash which identifies the save data will match and identify GOTY as the same game. --ArmeniusLOD 13:27, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
