In this thread, we discuss the ways we purposefully limit ourselves while playing Fallout.

Behold the Kain Lupus Challenge for Fallout: New Vegas

1st: Hardcore Mode, obviously.
2nd: At the Vigormatic, set all of your SPECIAL to 4
3rd: Roll a 1d7 (I just use the random number generator on my calculator). The selected attribute gets 10 points. Do this twice.
4th: Roll a 1d4 (again, random number generators are fine for this). This determines your end-game. For a 1,2 & 3 you support The House, The Republic & The Legion, respectively. A 4 makes you a Wild Card.
5th (Optional): Make a back-story for which all of these details make sense, and role-play.
6th (Optional): Delete all of your saves if you die.

For example, I just rolled Charisma & Luck, which I think you'll agree is a shitty roll. I also rolled Mr House. After thinking about it, I decided to play as an elderly (Luck: To have survived that long in the wastes) Russian man who travels with and corrupts all 8 of the Companions (Charisma), using them to his own ends. He then signs on with Mr House, the most powerful ally of them all, and crushes everyone who threatens his power.

I'm just starting this up now. What does Nukapedia think? How do you limit yourselves when you play?

I thought the game automatically made you distribute all the SPECIAL points before it would let you continue...? User:Great_MaraMessage 05:49, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, make your rolls beforehand or during. 76.169.85.137 18:36, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Huh, I might do this when I start my Hardcore run. Seems like a good idea. Avg Man (talk) 22:25, August 9, 2012 (UTC)

Please, share what you come up with. 76.169.85.137 18:36, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
