Hey guys, I'm relatively new to the wiki. I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there any location of a list or some information regarding safe locations to store items? I was going to set up in the Jalbert Brothers' Waste Disposal Office, but every time I arrived inside, I had to slaughter the small infestation of Radroaches. So now I'm wondering if it is safe inside VAPL-58 Power Station, just east of Jalbert Brothers' and North-West-West of Vault 106. It's the one with roof access (BB gun is up there). If there is even a way that I could lure the Radroaches out of Jalbert Brothers' and move their bodies far away, that would be great. Sadly, I don't think a Radroach would follow me outside. I'm off to try it now.

Good Places include your megaton house, as its always empty with just your personal robot. theres two lockers that you can use for storage. the other place is your tenpenny tower residence if you destroyed megaton. there's a wardrobe in there that you can use for storage. also, if you finished the reilly's rangers quest, you can use the lockers in their base. ---

I've had multiple characters live in TP tower as well as Megaton, I'm really just looking for an out-of-the-place area to make a home base in. LJ Carrion 23:48, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Thank you kindly :D. I'm surprised I didn't find that haha. LJ Carrion 23:56, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Also, the house that belongs to Silver is a good storage place. Just kill her off first... AngryNorwegianDude 08:18, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Greyditch is a very convenient, centrally-located place to live "incidentally." If you fast travel there, go to your left and take the first door. This is Brandice's House. You can store stuff and sleep in the bed there. It's like owning the place! Dancinhomer 65.71.189.66 20:34, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Two suggestions: 1. I made Arlington House in Arlington Cemetery by base of operations. No one was ever around, no animals to kill, and the basement is perfect. It has a bed, a Lincoln shrine, and TONS of storage space in addition to a tool table for building stuff.

2. My other suggestion is Girdershade actually. When the guy who is trying to nail that chick who gives you the Nuka Quantum Quest is either in his house or outside kill him and take his place. Its great because you spawn exactly outside its door practically anyway and has good storage areas. -Pierzstyx

The mechanists forge is a pretty good place , though you do need to go through 2 loading screens to get there and a very hard lock once , but other than that , its pretty nice , it has a queen sized bed , lots of shelves , a workbench , and lots of other storage space

If you pruchase the room in rivet city, instead of renting you get to keep the place. all storage equipment is safe and its right next to the market place. Also if your looking for somewhere in terms of seclusion, there is a tent to the south of sat com array *Insert random number here* and north of mason dixen salvage. Good thing is, its empty, safe storage and pseudo military style, bad news is that a few flesh eating deathclaws have been known to roam nearby but will never enter the tent :)

Holy light monastery is a good place to stay, if you have Broken Steel. Safe storage and a few beds. I use it as a armory, and have decorated it with the dead ghouls and a few body parts found in super mutant gore bags.

There are quite a few good options for a safehouse. Here are a few.

1. The best option in my opinion is the house that you can get in Megaton. You can get this by completing the Power of the Atom quest by disarming the nuclear bomb. +25 Explosive skill is needed to do this however, I suggest raising it to +25 after leaving the vault for the first time, this is the best option for low level and new player's.

2. If you complete the Power of the Atom quest via blowing up Megaton, you (are a douche) able to get a safehouse at tenpenny's tower, however it is quite a distance from Megaton and there are a few dangers on the way, varying, but not including, Yao Guai, Raiders, Bloatflys, Deathclaws, various robots, Enclave (if you're that far in the game), Talon Company mercs or Regulators, and other things that I can't recall.

3. If you have the Mothership Zeta DLC and have completed it, you can use the engine core room where all your fellow alien captives were stationed at between different quests. There are various storage units around there where you can store your equipment as well as many useful bits of loot and also a bed.

4. There are many secret camps in parts of subway systems that may be used as a place to stock up on or store items if planning on using it as a safehouse.

5. Other places which I can't recall, but if you find a place that you would like to call home, then I'm all for that.

6. Just remember that it's always handy to have a number of small caches in the the wasteland in case you need them.
