You guys kind of missed the point I was trying to make. I'm not saying the Rock-it-Launcher isn't cool or that it isn't a fun weapon. What I am saying is I understand why it's not in the game. People around New Vegas and other civilized areas back West have access to the Gun Runners. These guys can create, not find, CREATE pre-war weapons and ammo for them out of scratch, things like anti-material rifles and assault carbines and miniguns. Even the most dirt poor wastelander can usually afford a 9mm pistol or varmint rifle. So people around there don't need to fashion weapons out of junk. They could, and in some cases do, like with the bottlecap mine, but they don't need to. 22:11, September 16, 2011

So I found Rock-It Launcher schematics in New Vegas, and since I didn't see a page for it, I was wondering if anybody else found it?

Whereabouts? And the game's been out for ages now I'd have thought someone would have put it up on the wikia by now. WilliamDouglasCampbell 16:06, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

It's at NFB in the hangar with the B-29. It doesn't matter which entrance you choose, its far back past the B-29 at about SW on your compass. You have to steal them. By the way, I'm the same person who put up this forum, I just created my account minutes ago.

Cool I'll check it out later. Btw please finish your posts with four " ~ "s that way we can tell who is posting and whatnot. Welcome to the vault. :) WilliamDouglasCampbell 16:29, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

Okay thanks!--FalloutKiller 16:33, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

Unless something has changed in the past 2 hours, you still cannot build the rock-it-launcher. The schematics were in the game at the beginning (although you couldn't build it) but deleted by one of the patches because people were complaining about not being able to build it. I'd check to see if the patch is installed ((1.2.0.310 for PS3, (1.2.0.314 for PC, 1.2.0.315 for X-Box - note that the PS3 identifies it as patch 1.02 not 1.2.0.310). If you are patched to 1.7 on the PS3 and found the schematic, that probably means that the Gunrunner's X-pack will include the Rock-It-Launcher (hurray).75.67.224.12 20:46, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

I never noticed the schematic, but honestly, do we really NEED the Rock-It-Launcher? There is already sooo many more weapons in FNV than there were in F3, and half of the custom made weapons already exist pre-constructed. The Yao Guai Gauntlet is the substitute for the Deathclaw Gauntlet, Shishkabobs can be found on certain enemies, and you can still craft Bottlecap Mines. Plus, I can see why the Railway Rifle and the Dart Gun were not included in the game; those weapons made it too easy to cripple enemies. Deathclaws cease to be threatening if you can just put a dart in them and they can't run anymore. Besides, in a place where the Gun Runners can actually create pre-war weapons in mint condition, why would anyone need to build weapons out of junk? 18:25, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Simple, because the rock-it launcher won an award (or came in 2nd, i forget) on a gaming site for being 1 of the most creative and fun weapon. I have been pleading for the rock-it launcher to be put in the game. F:NV has so many more cool misc. items to chuck at enemies. With the nice supply of Dinky's as Cliff Briscoe's shop, the rock-it launcher will be ideal for damage and fun.--OhMyParry 22:32, September 15, 2011 (UTC)

What would make it Rock-It a welcome addition for me is if you could use it to fire all the useless quest related crap that accumulates in your inventory. 100 souvenir rockets, -10 DT and 5 points radiation damage. Scripture, 50 points against against Ceasar. :D GRPeng 15:23, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

Lol I know eh. I was actually overwhelmed when I looked at my inven and realized, "Holy crap, look at all these damn quest items" You'd think some of them would simply be automatically destroyed once their purpose is served. Or at least the 'cannot drop, its a quest item' thing would be lifted once its quest purpose was served. --OhMyParry 21:14, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

Dinkys, hadn't thought of those. personally I found that a stack of pre-way money applied to the head at high speed did wonders at teaching those communist ghouls in the DC subways the superiority of capitalism. plates of all colours were my favorite though, they looked niffy flying through the air and bouncing around. as an added bonus, the rock-i-launcher explains why the post-apocalyptic wasteland often looks like a post-apocalyptic waste can, the litter is really just the scene of a battle where someone didn't pick up their ammo afterward.75.67.224.12 21:35, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
