So today, I was playing Crysis 2 (which is a GREAT game) and I was on the map "Impact" during a multiplayer match. Then I started to think about Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 and how they exceeded in things like storyline and character background, but lacked in good graphics and AI behaviour. For example, in New Vegas there are certain parts where the Courier is interacting with a character (in this example, Cass) and he/she hands her the contract from Alice McLafferty. There is no interaction between that. Cass simply moves her hand out and starts talking about the contract even though nothing has indicated that she had taken it from the Courier. Another topic is the map quality in both games. The maps are well made, but the destruction could have been enhanced and given a more realistic look to make a more dramatic effect. This is where the map Impact comes in. While playing Impact (which appears to be a hotel or apartment building) I could see the dramatic amount of destruction and the catastrophic damage outside of the map that was visible through holes and cracks in the walls added on to that. This made me think about the Statesman Hotel. Impact is a perfect example of what Fallout 3 could have been, had there been this amount of high quality engines and video game software available. Now that CryEngine 3 has proven to be arguably the most advanced engine in the history of gaming and the first game it was used to make has been reviewed as "the best looking game on console", Bethesda could edit the maps for CryEngine 3 and the other components of each game could be re-mastered and ported into CryEngine 3 for maximum awesomeness!

It's a great idea. It will also add some new pretty graphics to the game... But I doubt they'll make a remake - rather, a new game, if they're allowed in the first place. The game will also take up loads of space on your HDD and loading times will be hell long ;) --YakovFrolov 06:44, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

No remakes never! As much as i don't like Fallout 3, the cry engine is only suitable for open first person shooters not Large 100 plus hour, rpgs! no let them use the Creation engine Fallout has never been about graphics.kaminoman

I agree, judging from Skyrim's gameplay trailer, Creation Engine's graphics look absolutely great considering it's a huge RPG game.--MetallicaFTW. 10:07, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

Lol, Fallout 3 is an open first person shooter... Just modify for some ugly generated faces and horrible dialogue and you're done --YakovFrolov 10:09, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

Since Crysis 1, CryEngine has been able to handle large maps. Crysis Warhead was practically free-roam and it had a relatively large map. CryEngine 3 could probably handle a large map similar to that of Fallout 3's (Or New Vegas). I guess that the developers wanted the player to focus on the objective to further progress the storyline instead of just going everywhere and messing around. CryEngine 3's real-time Technology and it's good physics could be put to good use with Fallout. I wouldn't say that it isn't able to run with a large map cause the developers did it with an earlier engine. Maybe Fallout hasn't always been about graphics, but it sure could use some. Impossible bethesda wouldn't waste their time with EA. If they remade them with the Skyrim engine then it would be fucking sick. Zodiakkiller 16:44, May 15, 2011 (UTC)

I'd prefer if they used the Assassin's Creed engine. Imagine how beautiful New Vegas would be. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 16:56, May 15, 2011 (UTC)

I have been thinking about doing this for awhile and I saving up money now, but soon ill start work on building a high end system to run it and i am going to remake the game on cry engine and w sould be willing to give a free copy to anyone who wants it, i won't charge ( so i can't be charged c;) and it's going to be almost 50% dif has i would add things from a lot of the mods used for new Vegas and i would over haul all of interiors to make them better it's gonna take some time, but hell idc, it's going to be hella awesome when it's done and a great learning exp for me!! Also I think I'm going to do the DlC's for it to has the really add to the game, and i would make them dlc's!! so they don't kill how much space it's already going to take up!! I'm going to need a kill graphic's card c;!! --Drivewolf(unknown)

At least a version that was not dumbed down for a consul would be nice. The loading screens were ridiculous they did not even stay up long enough to read and New Vegas should of been one area rather than broken in two. Anyways Fallout would be a much better game with better graphics.
