I know this has been said before that a wiki is a place of spoilers, but I think we can re-organize how we work them in. For example, one of the biggest surprises in Fallout 4 is who is a synth, and who isn't. I came onto the wiki wanting to know who the companions were and where I could find them, but sadly the quite literal first couple of words for these characters in their descriptions were "This character is a synth." I think this is poor wording and choice of placement within the character page. In the companion page, it gives a brief description of each character, but one of them is quite telling as to who he is. Instead of "hard-boiled synth detective", why not "hard boiled detective"? In his character bio (below the header description), it can go into great detail of who he is. And why use his synth face for his profile picture? Many people use the wiki for just looking up something quickly, yet inadvertently get the game spoiler for them by someone who poorly arranged the spoilers on said page. Push them out of immediate sight, yet don't eliminate them. Though I would love it if this wiki were to use the Dragon Age wiki approach to spoilers (which though would take time, would vastly improve user experience and quality of life), I feel all that's needed is "humane" design, if that makes sense. For basic information at a glance, such as outside descriptions that are not relevant to the story, and for internal basic info and pictures, (at least the top 1/4 of the page), can we work to keep that safe, because no one needs to know that information then and there. All it takes is a bit of reformatting and consideration. Again, yes, a wiki is a place of spoilers, but that doesn't mean we can't be courteous of how we organize them, can't we? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.80.148.153 (talkcontribs). It would be odd that we would want to hide content. Everyone that visits the wiki should know what they are into when reading the articles. ☢ Energy X ☣ 21:20, November 16, 2015 (UTC)
I would oppose the Dragon Age wiki approach of tagging spoilers in the articles, but I agree with making the background/intro section a bit more ambiguous in some articles. Doesn't seem like it would compromise the articles to refrain from inserting spoilers in that particular section.
