I was just wondering, since the divergence, would any of our politicians have been elected to office. I'm doubtful of Obama and Kennedy as the Democrat party in the 50s was still considered the party of the South, until Kennedy came along in the 60s. I'm sure Nixon and Bush and possibly the Clintons may have done well. Even Palin's career would thrive in a 50sesque America (to which the game is set).

In Britain, Blair and Thatcher may have been elected but both are a bit more right wing than than 50s Britain. To be honest, the only political figure you can be certain of is the Queen (and she was a big celebrity in the 50s), but that is only because of Royal descent.

What are your thoughts? Thetford 19:04, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

The only post-divergence US president we are certain of from the canon is Richard Nixon. Ausir(talk) 19:51, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Quite interesting seeing as it the UK election today, but I believe Britain would be labour or liberal I'd doubt any conservative party would be in power, but for some reason I could see Churchill somehow still being in power for 120 odd years as some sort of robot or brain in a jar....but if I were to set Fallout in Britain I'd put it in a constant 60's setting Mr Habberdasher 18:26, May 6, 2010 (UTC)

It would certainly be a Conservative paradise, thats for true. But why do some people get elected? Because we were sick of the last person. Like Carter to Reagan, Bush to Obama. For all we know in the Fallout universe, the people we know would be obscure. Big McLargeHuge 18:41, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
