Since the Fallout 3 NPC overhaul project has finally been finished, I think its more detailed guidelines regarding sub-sections of "Interactions" should be transferred from the project guidelines to the general character article guideline.

This proposal does not really add anything new as the FO3 NPC project guidelines are largely being applied to character articles for other games anyway - its purpose is merely to make these common practices easier to read up on for new editors. -- Porter21 _(talk) 09:50, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Proposal

Replace the following section of The Vault:Article layout guideline/Character article:

Layout item	Headline	Required	Explanation
Interactions with the player character			Interaction of this NPC with the player. This includes interactions as part of a quest and effects of player actions on the character or on the player's interaction with the character. Please use the standardized interaction tables (like e.g. {{Interactions FO3}}) if possible.

with:

Layout item	Headline	Required	Explanation
Interactions with the player character			Interactions of this character with the player.
→ Interactions overview			Checklist-style table detailing standard interactions for the respective game(s) the character appears in. Please use the standardized interaction tables (like e.g. {{Interactions FNV}}).
→ Quests			The character's involvement in quests or random encounters, if any. Follow the linked quest title with a one or two sentence summary of the character's role in the quest; leave details for the quest article. Use bulleted lists (*).
→ Effects of player actions			Effects of player actions on the character or on the player's interaction with the character. For example, if a player action results in the death of the character or if a certain action prevents the player from interacting "normally" with this character, it should be mentioned here. Use bulleted lists (*).
→ Other interactions			For interactions which are not covered by the other sub-sections of "Interactions". Only include this section when it is necessary and useful for describing significant interactions between the player and the character. Use bulleted lists (*).
