I've noticed there are a lot of missing pages for settlement objects. Specifically, I was trying to find a way to put a brahmin feed trough in my Oberland Station settlement, and can find hardly any info on it. Similarly, I don't see info on a bunch of other items.

Is there some page I'm missing that lists all the settlement objects, or did everyone decide there was a problem with small pages for settlement objects, or has it just never been done for some pages?

I'm thinking about adding a page with info on the trough, but I'm not sure the best format. Essentially it would be:

  • Possible picture of feed trough.
  • Short description saying it's a settlement object.
  • Short description of where to find it (Resources -> Miscellaneous).
  • Possible mention of settlements where you can't build it (Home Plate and Oberland Station that I know of).
  • Form ID (A46FB) to spawn one using placeatme in said settlements.
  • Note that if there's a brahmin in your settlement, the feed trough will cause fertilizer to periodically appear in your workshop.

On the one hand, that seems like useful information (it was useful enough for me that I tracked it down), but on the other hand it seems like a very short page. Would we be better off with a page listing all settlement objects (that seems like it might be too long), or maybe one page for each major category, with a nexus page to point to each category page? --162.252.201.32 07:11, March 4, 2016 (UTC)

AFAIK, the closest thing to that at the moment is the set of tables under Fallout 4 settlements#Constructible items. I don't think the trough is necessary to produce the fertilizer. I have a troughless brahmin at Starlight Drive In, which seems to produce tons of the stuff. I think the main purpose of the trough to to allow you to control the position of the brahmin.
