Guys, I'm having trouble with fighting that deathclaw that is in the deathclaw cave. My inventory consists of a Desert Eagle, a Sawn - Off Shotgun, a few stimpaks and a few grenades, but the thing keeps taking me out! Any help is appreciated.:DMdhay 18:17, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- 1. Turn the difficulty down (but I guess you've already done that, haven't you?).
- 2. Go to Jake in Old Town and buy the Sniper rifle. If you don't have enough caps, try gambling at the Maltese Falcon. If your Luck or Gambling or something is high enough, you should be able to profit (you'll quickly figure out whether or not your wallet is getting any thicker). Just hold both (timing is key here, but it's not too difficult) 1 and 3 ("play again" and "bet 50$", something like that) for a while, and you'll be filthy rich soon enough.
- 3. If you still can't kill it (try other people's tips first too, of course), just leave. Go get some followers if you haven't already, find the Waterchip, level up and come back with bigger guns, more HP and maybe even the Armor of Power. A lowly Deathclaw should be no match for your Vault dwelling Übermensch.
