| + | Remember modern diesel locos use the diesel generator to run electric motors. The electric motors are what actually run the trains. In this case any source of electrical power could be used to make the trains run once again. |

The whole USA-China war was about oil IIRC, in FO 1/2/Tactics we see that oil was scarce and very expensive, and newer cars basically runned on MF cells, like the car in FO 2. In Camp McCarran we see a number of military trucks, apparently in use by the NCR, but we are not sure. Now, in one of Lonesome Road endings, you can access the Long I-15, and also see a number of trucks in use by the NCR. So, either the NCR is capable of salvage enough MF cells to power these trucks, or it is building new ones, or found an alternative fuel (in a lot of post-apocaliptical setting biodiesel is used). The trucks look to damaged to be newly built vehicles, and aren't quite shambled together enough to be salvaged. I think, at least in places like Camp McCarran the trucks are inoperable, assumably the same as the planes there.
As far as fuel goes, I believe that they have some onboard power souce, considering the mini-nuke like explosion they create. Now that may just be residual, but it shows they were atomic to some degree. XxSick DemonxX 02:26, October 20, 2011 (UTC)
I haven't played New Vegas yet, but in the Broken Steel add-on to Fallout 3, you see a few restored military trucks that the Brotherhood of Steel is using to transport Aqua Pura. Since these trucks go up in tiny nuclear explosions when they're destroyed, they're probably nuclear powered. The BoS and NCR probably found some old trucks in relatively good condition and fixed them up. 74.244.4.226 18:22, October 20, 2011 (UTC)
