I don't know how to edit for shit

if anyone made another forum like this or not (I did search for a bit and didnt find anything) but while going through the Mothership Zeta DLC you reached a room where the aliens shot their beam to scare/show you. If you looked down at the planet (well I did) there looked like a massive glowing crater in the planet. Anyone know if I'm wrong or where that is on the planet or what happened? Just curious about it. Love trying to understand everything about the fallout universe.

I just took a look there and that couldn't have been it. The crater on Earth I'm talking about is already on the planet before you can even use the death cannon on the mothership.

Again if anyone could let me know what this is . The glowing spot on earth's surface.

I just read on the death ray page that it hit somewhere in canada and then spread over 350 miles to denver and other important cities. It's not like it matters anyway. No way in hell is any of mothership zeta even a tiny bit canon.

Zeta sucked so bad. I couldn't believe I wasted my money on that piece of crap. There were so many glowing lights and buttons that did absolutely nothing. What, the devs couldn't come up with something creative that you could interact with on a giant, technologically advanced, intergalactic space ship? And the weapons were so boring. The one good thing about it was the alien epoxy and that was so hard to find in any abundance that it practically wasn't worth it. God, I couldn't wait to finish it just so i wouldn't have to play it anymore. And why did they have to close off all of the ship sections after you beat it? What was the point in that? I thought mother ship zeta was awesome. What difference does It make if they closed part of it of after you were through? You cant return to the Sierra madre once you’re done with that either. You just make sure you explore everything while you’re there and its no biggie. I just wish they had something cooler than alien gems you could take back and decorate your house with, but this game is just as bad. Maybe its just me but I think the point of exploring the wasteland is to find rare and unique items to collect. In fallout 3 there was always something cool to find, New Vegas is boring when it comes to that. Yeah and dead money pissed me off too because you couldn't return to it either. I just can't understand the logic for creating a totally new map with all new items and then make it so you can only visit it once per play through. Honestly, what is the purpose? And I stick to my point about there being basically nothing to do in the entire mother-ship. You could kill green guys and look at all the colors, but almost none of the consoles did anything. A million buttons and not one to press. I agree about searching for rare or hidden items, but zeta just didn't deliver. Zac hemker 18:45, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

i think if you put that crater + come fly with me together u get a answer to something bigger, like is that where the ghouls went. also if you sabotage the rockets is jason just in the hanger doin noting for the rest of the game?
