Who would win in a 1 on 1 fight?

Both characters min-maxed, at level cap, and with best equipment

Arjac76731 03:03, January 7, 2011 (UTC) Lone wanderer for sure. He has access to more than 35+ perks. He has access to a large arsonal. Also best of all, the tesla cannon only costs one energy cell. Muddbutt

Does this thought exercise assume that they're using the same rule sets? If you're talking about a straight-up, mechanics based fight and they're each using the system and items from the games in which they appear the Lone Wanderer easily wins due to the complete lack of balance in FO3. Though the case could be made that between Damage Threshold and Turbo, which the Lone Wanderer would not benefit from, the Courier could come out on top.--OvaltinePatrol 22:32, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Agreed, Arjac76731 23:01, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Who say's they couldn't be the same person? My buddy Ike plays as though after the events of Fallout 3 the Lone Wanderer travlled west in search of a new life and new home so Courier IS Lone Wanderer in some cases.--ZERO 08:19, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Time period doesn't work a line of dialogue in the game would imply the Lone Wanderer impregnated a woman in Montana when he was 6. Needless to say, this seems slightly implausible. --Arjac76731 16:55, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Dude you are thinking of The Mysterious Stranger. Fallout 3 happened in 2277. New Vegas is just four years later putting the Lone Wanderer at the age of 23. It is possible but unlikely that in four years he would travel from D.C. to The Mojave but it is possible and that is why I applaud my friend Ike because he had the creaitivity to actually complete a back story for the Courier who is almost a complete blank slate.--ZERO 20:43, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Uh, yeah, arjac, that line could have been put in as a joke, seeing as you can only access it with a perk and even if you make your character as young as possible it is still available, so it cannot be considered cannon. Just a little funny from the guys at obsidian. Sombar1

i never understood how the lone wanderer knew how to use so many weapons despite living in a vault all his life, at least with the courier you can make up a backstory. NegativeCreep 12:14, April 24, 2011 (UTC)

Slightly biased but I'd say the courier. He got shot in the head and survived! (though, it was probably luck and it missed all the vital parts... but still!) Also, you can make up a backstory. The Lone wanderer is probably suffering abandonment issues about his father leaving him in a vault to deal with its residents and then dying in front of him, my courier could have lived a hard life too, but one that built character, not depression 5t3v0 15:15, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

The Lone Wanderer grew up in a cushy Vault, but was still able to completely kick ass. They even managed to save the world while coping with the death of their father. Not to mention, they survived enough radiation to kill anyone! They basically single handedly saved the Wastes.
