In the Fallout 3 add-on pack Broken Steel at the end of the add-on you come face to face with Scride Rothchild and if you got real into the conversation with him you learn that the recently fallen Liberty Prime will take 3 years to put back together after being blown apart by the Enclave. Fallout: New Vegas takes place 3 years later. So lets say your doing a mission in FONV lets says leading a battle between the NCR and Ceasar's Legion when all of sudden Liberty Prime goes through a building and vaporizes Ceasar's Legion. Awesome! This would only happen if you teamed up with the NCR.- Zachattak471 May 8, 2010 23:49 ET

Not gonna happen. And why the hell would Liberty Prime be working for the NCR when he's BOS property? BoS Paladin Thumbnail Knight Captain Ski (talk) 04:29, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Not possible. How the hell would Liberty Prime Get repaired AND reach Nevada in 3 years? Nevada is on the other side of the country. Impossible.Fallout3Maniac 04:45, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

The East Coast Branch of the BOS had a different goal than the West Coast or Midwest Branches. The East Coast BOS wanted to help humanity while collecting technology. With Liberty Prime they could help all of the United States and then some. The NCR is a republic trying to get itself up and running so why wouldn't the East Coast BOS not try to help it out? Have you seen Liberty Prime run? He runs like at 65mph at full speed. The BOS on the East Coast must of also gotten some Vertibirds to. So if they wanted to cross the country it would take them at least a week or more for them to reach the West Coast with all that transportation. Its alot better than those slow blimps they used to have.- Zachattak471 May 9, 2010 13:34 ET

Liberty Prime is not a magical do-everything-rebuild-USA machine. He's a gigantic pre-War robot that couldn't be completed by the greatest robot designers in the USA. Rothschild managed to make him run by jury rigging the mechanisms, but he cannot rebuild it - he simply doesn't have the necessary technology and materials to recreate the technology. His attempt to rebuild the machine is a senile old man's delusion.

That's ignoring the fact that he's not capable of running. No robot in the Fallout universe is capable of running and Liberty Prime is no different - if the brightest minds of the pre-War USA were unable to make it function properly, then it's highly unlikely that they'd design an infinitely more complex function that is running.

Also, NCR is trying to get itelf up and running? No, not really. The NCR was founded in 2186 and by 2241 was the single most powerful faction on the West Coast, dwarfing anything on the East Coast or the Midwest. They need no help from a rag-tag, disorganized bunch of ex-Brotherhood of Steel members. They already have their own Brotherhood and a large standing army. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 19:54, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Fine Liberty Prime is out. He can be a freakin statue in the Citadel. Almost like a museum piece. But the BOS on the East Coast also now have the Vertibirds they captured from the Enclave. They could use that to travel around the U.S. Your right the NCR doesn't need anymore help in survival, but other places in the U.S. and Canada need help creating a government. Theres much more things to explore than just the Washington, D.C. area. Soon the BOS East Coast Branch will leave the D.C. area and head for other soures of tech. like New York City or Houston. - Zachattak471 May 9, 2010 16:29 ET

Why would they ever leave DC, when they've already lost the majority of their original forces due to rebellion and the Enclave war? Nitty Tok. 20:34, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

There numbers will increase but slowly over time. - Zachattak471 May 9, 2010 16:39 ET

And the denizens of the wasteland will simply welcome the conquering force with daises lodged in gun barrels? What happens when old man Lyons kicks the bucket? The East Coast has no other Elders to take control. Places like the Pitt or Ronto could mount their own war against the Brotherhood. Nitty Tok. 20:43, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

You have Sentinel Sarah Lyons. She's a good leader. She leads Lyons Pride. I saw lots of guys who could run the BOS East Coast Branch. They show lots of loyalty to Elder Lyons and his goal to help humanity and collect technology. - Zachattak471 May 9, 2010 16:56 ET

And the death of their dear leader isn't going to faze them at all? The JFK assassination made all of America lay down and cry for months, what's to say that Lyons' death wouldn't do the same? The Midwestern Brotherhood had more than a Vault's worth of technology from the Calculator, but they couldn't survive very long. What says the Eastern Brotherhood could? Nitty Tok. 21:00, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

But this is different. Your in a post-apocalytic world where if you don't keep your guard a freaken bullet just blew your head off or you could be in the belly of a Deathclaw. Theres no time to cry in the wasteland. If they dont pull it together then the BOS Outcasts, Super Mutants, Raiders, Slavers, and other creatures of evil of the wastes will overun and kill every last one of you.- Zachattak471 May 9, 2010 17:11 ET

And who says that a warrior like Sarah can rally the unruly scribes to keep the Brotherhood's advantage over the wasteland? Or that she could negotiate peace with communitites while they eye her power armor? Nitty Tok. 21:21, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

I think she can handle the job. Its just like leading a squad only much bigger and you have guys who keep you up to date with weapons, armor, and knowlegde.- Zachattak471 May 9, 2010 17:34 ET

I'm not talking about whether she could. I'm talking about if the scribes would let her. Back when there was a chain of command, the scribes followed it. Now that there's no one to coronate a new Elder, who says the scribes will follow a Paladin? Nitty Tok. 21:38, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

She's Sarah Lyons. If she doesn't get what she wants then she forces the scribes to. Sounds bad but hey. We kind of gotten a little of track. We started out talking about Liberty Prime in FONV now we're talking about leadership in the BOS East Coast Branch.- Zachattak471 May 9, 2010 18:10 ET

When Rhombus died in Fallout and the rest of the paladins took over, they forced the scribes to cause a second Dark Age as the Steel Plague. Nitty Tok. 22:26, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

The wasteland doesn't need the Brotherhood. Lyons' men are a small, insignificant faction on the East Coast. They have miniscule numbers, poor equipment and a handful of Vertibirds they propably don't even know how to fix and rebuild. They can't help anyone rebuild even if they had any interest in doing so. Lyons only looks out for himself and his self-delusional quest of saving the wastes by killing anyone he considers a threat. Amusingly, he ignores Paradise Falls and roving raider bands. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 07:00, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

The super mutants are a bigger threat than either of those, which is why he's ignoring those. 173.29.121.179 21:34, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

Super mutants aren't going to be much of a threat when they run out of FEV. Nitty Tok. 21:36, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

True, but until then they are still the biggest threat. BoS Paladin Thumbnail Knight Captain Ski (talk) 08:31, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Not really. For nearly 170 years up to the arrival of the BoS, they were unable to harm or destroy any settlements in the Capital Wasteland. In fact, very few people actually mention them as a threat, so they're, in fact, generally harmless. Lyons is just obsessed with them. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 09:22, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Realistically, they'd be the biggest threat. Which would scare you more: a squad of ragtag slavers or a couple of these 8 ft green monstrocities? BoS Paladin Thumbnail Knight Captain Ski (talk) 17:08, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Lesse here. We've got a bunch of stupid mutants that attack anything and everything, and we've got a bunch of ragtag slavers that can both reason, and trick people. There are a few things worse than dying. I'd rather be dead than be a slave for the rest of my life. Nitty Tok. 17:18, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
remember what 3dog said, supermutants only kill you if your lucky because they prefer to take you to vault 87 to becaome a supermutant, most people would probably prefer being dead to that, not me though, i would love to be 8 ft tall, ripped, and virtually immortal, slam dunk! Infamous Andrew 04:30, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Theres no coming back from being dead. However, there is the potential to escape being a slave. BoS Paladin Thumbnail Knight Captain Ski (talk) 17:21, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
But memories are painful. Nitty Tok. 17:22, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
To have memories you have to be alive. Better alive with painful memories than dead, imho. BoS Paladin Thumbnail Knight Captain Ski (talk) 17:30, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
Alright, let's rape you with a piece of rusty rebar for about three days, see how you enjoy the rest of your life. :P
Granted, most slave owners won't be that cruel, but still. Nitty Tok. 18:32, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
Emotional and physical wounds can heal over time. Death can't. BoS Paladin Thumbnail Knight Captain Ski (talk) 19:16, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

I guess I'd have to finally agree with Mikael. Fallout 3 seems to be really... well... inconsistent with the original Fallout plotline. User AreYouGoingToEatThatNuke? Cloud - Nukey Blog - Nukey Talk 21:40, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

As with Liberty Prime, there is no possible way I could see him going to Vegas, reason being the east coast BoS do not have ties with the west coast BoS, one thing i thought was kinda dumb was that the Outcasts of fallout 3 are doing what there were sent there to do, while the actual BoS of D.C is going against their original order, so I would think they would be the Outcasts? Just a thought.

With Lyons dieing, I think Sarah would most deff take over, and of course they would moarn the lose of their elder but they wouldn't just give up, you forget, they live in a nuke hellhole, death is nothing new to them.

I agree with Knight Captain Ski.... I would rather become a slave then die, cuz you always have the chance of rescue, or just off yourself, but i think the slavers and super mutants would be an almost equal threat, the super mutants may not be smart, but they are organized enough, they also seem a little more violant, but slavers I would think would have a little better weapons

My 2 cents.... 24.102.201.149 00:08, May 12, 2010 (UTC)

B.O.S were at war with N.C.R so its not goning to happen.... prime takes all the fun out of fighting the enclave so i hope he isnt anyway

The east coast BoS are anything but insignificant, they are the only thing keeping the super mutants in the Capitol ruins, and they were the force that destroyed the Enclave and fixed the purifier along with the Lone Wanderer. And they have been around for 30 years, thats more then enough time for people to forget the super mutants when they have to defend themselfs from the raiders and slavers. ChaplainDMK 19:23, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Not really. The mutants were around ever since 2078, long before Lyons was even born. This alone invalidates your claims. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 22:09, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
Why? For all we know the people might have been getting attacked by the Mutants before Lyons showed up? And in any case, even if they weren't bothering the people of the DC Wasteland, super mutants in any way are bad, for all you know, they could have a secret laboratory in downtown DC and are trying to cure their sterylity...
Because the Muties were around for nearly two centuries and yet humans survived. That said, you're an annoying racist twat. Supermutants are mutated humans that aren't inherently evil. They're simply too stupid to be a coherent threat. Your musings that "there might be a lab in DC" is completely baseless - the V87 mutants are barely capable of forming complete sentences, much less research complex biochemical matters that are the EEP. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 01:00, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
The FEV will give a non radiated human extreme brain growth (Fawks and Leutenant for example...) In Vault 87 you had anywhere between 100 and 1000 unradiated humans, and odds are, Fawks wasn't the only one that had his brain functions preserved. And how do you know the Humans didn't just start developing after the BoS contained the Super Mutants in downtown DC? And I never said Super Mutants are be evil, they are dumb and gullible, the perfect tool for a madman (ala The Master) to project his evil. 109.182.124.230 13:26, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Wrong. FEV-II had the potential to increase (or at least preserve) the intellect of the dipped human, though it was rare (the intelligent mutants were few and far in between, like Lou or Marcus). EEP on the other hand, has consistently created brutish, mindless soldiers. Fawkes isn't intelligent - he simply managed to retain his intelligence by using the terminal in his cell and learning, rather than raging after transformation. He's not a genius - he simply seems to be one, because all the other mutants (sans Uncle Leo) are retards.
I know they didn't start developing because e.g. Megaton lies closer to V87 than downtown DC and it was never extinguished ever since it was founded by a bunch of people too stupid to utilize the ruins of Springvale to create a city, choosing instead a shiny bomb for some reason. Plus, there's Little Lamplight, where children with pea shooters were able to defend against supermutants for TWO CENTURIES. V87 supermutants are paper tigers.
Last, there is no second Master. Richard Moreau was unique. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 17:45, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
I never said that there would be a second master, just some whacko maniac that would lead the Super Mutants again...

And quote from wiki:
"The Vault 87 super mutants are obsessed with the preservation of their brand new species. Since they are all sterile, instead of reproducing in a natural way, they have been kidnapping humans from all over the [[Capital Wasteland|Capital Wasteland]] and bringing them to the vault to mutate. They have been doing so for nearly 200 years, until their source of FEV started to run out. Because of the shortage of the "green stuff", as the super mutants call it, there are now super mutant bands searching all over the Capital Wasteland for a new source of the virus"
Basicaly it says that they were only trying to preserve their species before the FEV started to run out, so for all we know they could only have started comming out of Vault 87 a few years ago, and since then the BoS has been fighting them.
And you think that the little kiddies in Little Lamplight could stop the mutants? Did you even go trough murder pass? Whats that little guy with the rifle gonna do? Scratch the mutants skulls?
