... The Experiments, The Number of inhabitants, is it isolated, are people coming out, Whats the Location, Is it still evan hear? Let me hear your answers

Forums: Index > Fallout world discussion > If you could create a Vault your way what would it be like?

I would have to base my Vault population on the numbers of rooms. One per family at the most. I guess I'd perfer east coast. It would have to be clean and health will be a priority. Consider keeping the place clean my "experiment". You don't have to "work out" but, you must keep hygenic. Visit the doctor/dentist often. Infact, maybe everyone will be a doctor. No gangs will be tolerated, you cause trouble your out. Isolation will cause problems like conflict or inbreeding. If its safe to go out, some people will. At least for trading and fresh air? As time goes on, the Vault and the surrounding area might become a city of growth and health.Vault Master 18:56, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

personally mine would be to test the effects (affects?) of spliting families apart or solitary confinement over years

<EYES ONLY> Vault-Tec Vault Status Report <EYES ONLY>

Vault: 24

Overseer: A7-D2

Location: Beneath the Mohave Desert

Experiment: How well will a group respond to an artificial intelligence as an overseer?

Secondary Usage: Storage for Post-War military robots.

Date of Completion: November 12, 2076

Date of Startup: January 1, 2076 (Pre-Nuclear War startup was scheduled and approved)

Supplies at Start: 10 primary fusion generators. 2 full backup fusion generator sets. No armory weopons. No entertainment holo- or audio- -tapes. 10 experimental Protectrons. 50 sealed Post-War designed Mr. Gutsys. 1 Water Chip. ZAX supercomputer with A7-D2 loaded on.

Occupants at start: 5 male and 5 female humans.

Current Status: Fully Functioning.

Current Occupant Status: Deceased, Ejected

Current Supply Status: 10 primary fusion generators. 2 full backup fusion generator sets. No armory weopons. No entertainment holo- or audio- -tapes. 1 Mr. Protectron super robot with ZAX hookup (foriegn object). 10 experimental Protectrons. 50 sealed Post-War designed Mr. Gutsys. No Water Chips. ZAX supercomputer with A7-D2 loaded on.

Experiment Status: Complete

Experiment Summary: Human Occupants resisted against A7-D2's control, thereby A7-D2 destroyed the lone water chip. Dying, the humans surrendered and were ejected. 1 of the men and 2 of the females of the vault returned with the Experimental Mr. Protectron recovered from the nearby experimental robot facility, surrendering it in exchange for a new water chip. Being there no new water chip A7-D2 locked the humans in the airlock and vented the air, followed by immediate ejection.

A7-D2's Current Status: A7-D2 developed greatly during the experiment time. It bypassed it's human protection and combat inhibitors and developed a masculine programming. Renaming himself Zack after his computer storage he gained the ability to transfer himself from the ZAX supercomputer to the Mr. Protectron combat robot. Zack preffered to sleep in the human's beds than standing up, only going into standby mode in his power socket to charge. Zack also created artificial intelligences for all of his protectrons naming them after the humans he killed. Zack then created a bed for himself in his ZAX room out of the occupant's old possesions.

Release of Mr. Gutsy Status: Mr. Gutsy release status has seen no changes and is slated for January 1, 2377, 300 years after startup.

WARNING: Vault access code has been changed by A7-D2 to <CLASSIFIED> without proper authorization.

^^^ Wheres your signature, guy? Anyways, heres my idea: Vault 1337, THE MMO VAULT!!!!!! The overseer would be decided by who has the strongest character on a Vault-Tec custom MMORPG. The Vaults economy would be based off of in-game money. All of the food would be Funions. There would be no recreation outside of mini-games. The results?

After about 60 years, everyone would die, since there would be no doctors (only healers) and no one to repair the machinery (only "smiths") needed to sustain vault life. None of the inhabitants would venture outside of the vault, insisting that leveling was more important. The Vault-Tec experiment would find this to be a success, finally discovering what is needed to kill "that which has no life." RadRuler 22:26, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

@Vault 66 Person That's a pretty sweet vault idea.

@Rad Ruler WOW. (Pun intended)

Hay i am the Vault 66 person... just thought you should know since you asked also how do you get your name in the blue to the profile page cause i dont know...-Red Racer

My Vault is inspired by the above written "doctor-vault". I would have a lot of people in it, like about 500, but not much space. And no place to put garbage at. There would be a toilet though, but it would only work for feces and urin. 114.153.205.92 07:57, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

I'd have a few.
1)Where: Underwater.
Why: To see how having easy access to arms effects how people cope withg things.
Status: Failed. All residents died after one guy went crazy, broke in to the armory and took the best armor and weapoins and went on a killing spree. Nine months later he died from cancer.

2)Where: Under point lookout.
Why: To test how people responed to facing thier fears (in this case radiation, see Vault Villains for story)
Status: Failed
3)Where:Capital Wasteland
What: Overcrowded vault, with limited food.
Why:To see how far people will to survive.
Status:Failed. All ate each other. One survior, who has left.

I got a few. A vault filled with ignorant, rebellious, and smelly teenagers and one adult in a perpetual, never ending high school enviroment. Where information is spoonfed and regurgitated, and drama takes the lead, and the kids, even when they grow up, are still in High School.

A Vault which is entirely populated by Pre War animals. Like an Arc.

A Vault who's entire population believes that they are on a spacecraft headed toward a distant star, and that the bombs were the liftoff engines, To test the effects of Space Dementia without the enourmous Government cost.

A vault in which all known communists in the Unites States were thrown, so they can be safely monitored, and have their pathetic little communist government and shut the hell up already. Surprisingly this vault was a highly successful vault, as communistic societies do tend to function in small numbers with limited potential for growth.

An oversized vault filled with Midgits.

A vault in which all entertainment files, books, and computers (except overseer's) were replaced with paradoxical statements to test the level of reason within the society of the day. This is ironic in the fact that shortly after the world was blown to hell.

A vault filled with puritanical Christians, Jews, and Satanists to test how far religious tolerance could be stretched. This vault resulted in creating its own new religion. A fact which surprised the vault scientists!

An empty vault in a shutdown state with an unlocked door, ready for post nuclear wasteland peasants to adopt and inhabit and run as they wish.

A vault filled with slumberpods which run a virtual reality vault with slumberpods that run a virtual virtual reality vault which contain slumberpods that run a virtual virtual virtual reality vault X10^13 in which inhabitants are woken from on a regular basis to test how long it takes for them to figure out, if ever, when they are in reality and when they arn't.

A vault in which all beds and dressers and furniture are replaced with cat bed towers and food bowls. ~Hemms2

I Would like to see a vault that was populated with devoted Christians and scientist who firmly hated the idea of god and to have the vault split in 2 with the food part controlled by the scientists and power by the Christians and see how they would get along. The people selected would be devoted and smart so no morons. And the state of the vault? Turn out they got along well with the Christians keeping their traditions, not bugging the scientist and actually continuing development till they were released 100 years later as a group that later set up a small town completely built from the ground up WITHOUT A GECK. In this way they would build everything by hand.

A vault with only small infants, of an age of 5 or lower, to see how say, a hundred babies and toddlers, would live together as times go by. Probably the most interesting would be the political system this vault would get, because the toddlers and babies never knew any kind of political system. Will homosexuality be more common then heterosexuality? Will the toddlers and babies find their unique language? Will they create a religion or live like animals? Will women have more power then men? I know it would be sick, but this expiriment WOULD be interesting IRL (but then again, it would be pretty damn sick)
