I had an idea, what do you think. It would be FALLOUT 4: War of the super mutants.
Basically, it takes off from the ending off fallout 3. First you wake up, during surgey. You scitents friends are there, including pinkerton. They saw, good your awake. We are helping you the best we can, but before you go under again, we need to know what you want to look like, (and from here you choose your sex and face, and body, etc.) You fall asleep again. You wake up and they explain what happened.
They drained the thing and got you from the water, and miralcusly you were still alive. the BOS decided to get everyone together and try to save you. But your mind is wiped clean. (using this, you decided your name, details, skills, etc).
then the brotherhood talks to you a few days later. You are on a mission, if you choose, to help them gather things they need to defeat the mutants once and for all. They have taken over most of the capital wasteland, so you have to go to a different area (now this gives a new area nad "towns" to explaore), and gather tech and enclave items, like a helicopter, to help them. Since you gave them the info of where the mutants come from, the BOS is going to atttack there, and try to wipe them out. Until you return, the BOS is going to keep up there efforts, and of course, they have no one to spare to help you. (Welcome back, they say. HA.)at this point, I would have to say you have been out for a month. All your weapons got lost in the river.
What do you all think? I think it sets up a new area with new people while incorporating the plot from fallout 3. You could have that the mutants found tech at the enclave hideout that let thme dump their chemicals all over the wasteland. ALl the ares you knew, like megaton, are now super mutant hideouts. The only way bakc and forthe from the BOS headquarters in a secret tunnel under them, that leads to (the new area, weither it be another state or whatever. )
Then in the end, you get to be in the war. Do you help the supermutants, and rule them, or help the BOS? David the dragon 19:56, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
It's okay, but two things: One, the story wouldn't work after Broken Steel, as that continues directly after the end of Fallout 3. Two, I'd rather have a new Fallout with new characters and story than something based on Fallout 3. Broeman 20:18, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
I get what you are saying, however, the only same characters are the few in BOS. Did you miss that part? And that is a new story. Ending the super mutants veres finding your dad? How is that the same? And I thought of this before I knew about broken steel. Who knows, maybe some variation of this IS broken steel. I don't mind criticisim, but I would prefer that it is informed first, aka reads it first.
Nah, listen, Mutants origin from vault 87 and Mariposa(?) Military Base, they aren't all around the world really as you hear from Midea in The Pitt. I think they should focuse on something new in F4 seeing as soon the mutants will be extinct, since Mariposa's been blown up(Vault Dweller) and re-wiped out(Chosen One) and vault 87 cleaned out(Lone Wanderer). And the enclave will be wiped out in BS. The fallout lore needs to update, bring something new, even though the mutants are a lovely cultic icon of fallout, by being realistic, they shoulden't return. I don't have a great imagination so I can't really think of anything new that would be perfect and accepted into the lore. :/ Oh and, F1, F2 and F3 all had different, characters, I think the next game should have a "New" character, not some amnesia guy running around in madness. 81.234.140.17 22:14, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
@ OP. You say in the last paragraph "incorporating the plot from Fallout 3." Besides, you even say that it is the same main character and that Pinkerton performs facial reconstruction on him! What I am saying is that I would like a game that has nothing to do with Fallout 3 besides references. Also parts of it aren't really fleshed out. All your weapons were lost in the river? WTF? If the BoS has that much riding on you, they'll give you weapons. Anyway, I made my opinion clear, and do not wish to be criticized for it. Broeman 23:46, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
