Well, I just finished my first complete playthrough, and I have to say that Mothership Zeta is my second favorite DLC after Point Lookout. Things I really liked:

1) Played from level 19-21, and I died several times. Learned not to use a drone cannon in VATS against somebody running toward you.  :) I play on Very Hard. 2) Abominations are, if anything, the creepiest thing out there. Not too hard to take down at range, but when they see you and point at you...yech. 3) The ship is big -- feels like a mothership. 4) My name is Vin and I'm from Flatbush. Can I get a taxi now? LOL. 5) Custom plasma pistol makes energy cells FAR more useful, and I have thousands. 6) Alien Epoxy and Adapted Biogel are both useful to high-level play. 7) Samurai vs. alien -- right up there with pirate vs. ninja. 8) "Cows! We have cows!" Also, dropping cows into the disintegration chute, using them for weapons testing, and "voice" recording. 9) Alien ping pong with the hanger bay gravity pillars. 10) Releasing crazed raiders and ghouls en masse from cryotubes.

I wish Somah and her 100 repair skill didn't disappear in the end, and I think they missed the perfect opportunity to test the astronaut vs. caveman question. Overall, though, I loved it.

I am about halfway through. It is fun blasting the aliens, and overall it is just beautiful to look at - they really did a great job with it. It is what I would imagine a mothership to be like. Has anyone noticed the unidentified objects on the shelves? Is it just me, or does one of them look like a weird alien pipe? Is this their version of Jet or what?Pgoon 21:20, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I thought it sucked balls. Seriously, MZ was almost as bad as O:A. Pararaptor 10:32, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

--- I wouldn't say it sucked balls, i thought it was pretty fun, kinda annoying it locks half the ship off at the end (and before you say mod its a 360), although i do think that they are going in a slightly wrong direction, change the idea of adding one or two extra quests and a new place, expand the waste land, and i dont mean add buildings, its already to crammed as it is if you ask me, expand it into all the corners, add huge highways etc etc --Maverick vault 11:59, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

At least OA didn't kill the FO canon... and the story wasn't even good! It was monotonous, poorly written and boring. There was no good moments and rping was physically impossible. The enviroments were nice though and I like some of the gear but nonetheless it still wasn't anything more than a cash cow. Sparrow475 20:56, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

It's not good. If the damn thing did what it said on the tin ("Use the whole Mothership as a house!") and didn't have so many glitches (General Chase's overcoat killed me inside), then it would be fine. Anchorage is better, because it gives you a reason as to why you don't go back, and the glitches (Invinci-T-51b and Endless Hats from CSA) are good ones. Nitty 21:01, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

It gets a half and half for me. for MZ I enjoy the non stop action kill kill kill idea, but it strays to far from the Fallout Motif. there is not post apocolyptic feel to the DLC. atleast Point look out feels like a post nuclear swamp land, and O:A is a computer Sim, so the nonfeel is right, the Armour is way over powered but i can deal with it. MZhad some decent weapons and the Clothes you get are ok, i love the Revolver and Samuarai armour but other than that its was just kind of shit. O:A is all over much better than Zeta. I dunno.I was disappointed.I guess I didn't read enough about where to find the unique gear.Couldn't find the atomic pulverizer or bittercup toys. And well, that was just sad, man. HuangLee 17:49, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

My major problem was the lack of atmosphere, all the other DLC's had the right feel to them, but MZ just didnt feel like fallout. Plus those buggers shields were very aggravating. Jack "the drifter" Vance 21:37, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
