Forums: Index > Wiki discussion > How the hell i'm supposed to help this wiki improve if any adm keeps deleting my useful updates on several pages?

This is really annoying me. I'm not screwing around, writing random stuff. I'm updating useful information about fallout games in some item or character pages, but the admins keep deleting it. Why's that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Murilobreda (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Howdy there, first off, don't forget to sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~). Secondly, it would appear that those edits of yours that were reverted (not all were), were speculative in nature, such as what caused the wasteland merchant's death, and what ultimately happened to the survivor from the post-war audiolog. Speculation, you see, is not allowed here as such those speculative edits were reverted. Hope that helps. Richie9999 (talk) 01:31, June 28, 2017 (UTC)

I checked out your edits also. As richie says, some of your edits were reverted as they dont meet our policies. Please understand that the general nature of a wiki is thaat just about anything you add will eventually be changed anyways. Its how wikis work. What i did notice was that some of the reverts were made with comments on the edit telling you why they were made. I dont know if you saw these or not. I also see that you made no attempt to discuss the revisions on the article talk page or with the editor making the revision. Feel free to ask why your edits are being removed on the talk pages thats what theyre there for. Also, a word of advice: an agressive tone will not get you as much respect as a polite tone will. Be nice and folks will be helpful to you. The Gunny  UserGunny chevrons 01:44, June 28, 2017 (UTC)

Alright. The autor here. I didin't know where to check for responses or reviews to my edits. I tried looking into my notifications or messages, and there was nothing there to be shown. About my tone, I apologize about that, but since I dind't got any feedback (or did and just don't know how to read them), I got frustrated a little bit. About the edits being speculative or not: I've seen a lot of speculative nature edits on this wiki. In several pages, I noticed a few sentences at the Notes section beginning with "It is possible that", or "It is a possibility", or even "It may be theorized that..." Right now I don't recall which pages were, but as i'm pretty regular and i'm always browsing through the pages, I can guarantee you guys that those edits were true and didn't seem different at all from my contribuitions, regardless the politics you guys pre-defined on this wiki about speculations. Still, they were not deleted like was mine. I didn't get upset by the reverted edits or changes, but for my edits didn't even being accepted at the first place. Just enlight me these other stuff and we finish the case. (murLexer 05:54, July 3, 2017 (UTC))

You can always check Special:WikiActivity or Special:Recentchanges to see at a glance what has happened on the wiki since you made you changes, as this will show the summaries. If you can see from there, check the revision history (accessed via the arrow on the edit button) which shows all changes that have been made along with the respective summaries. I'm not going to doubt you on the long-standing speculative comments, I've pulled some out in the past before and they do need to be eliminated in the long term. We only have so many eyes on the books and they can't catch everything at the time it happens, which is why they end up remaining. I've seen vandalism also suffer the same fate in the past, one piece managed to sit there for best part of a year.
I see you made another contribution today and I changed a word or two at most for clarity, but otherwise left it as is. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:12, July 3, 2017 (UTC)

Ok. I understand your position, but still hope you guys do your best to establish equality in this wiki... for everyone. One more thing: I edited a page some time ago in the bug section, but someone marked as "verification needed". How can I verify this bug? It happened to me, and I was searching in some forums after the incident and saw some people reporting the same bug. (murLexer 16:59, July 11, 2017 (UTC))

You cannot verify your own bug, someone else has to. And please sign your messages by putting four tildes (~~~~) at the end of them. DisgustingWastelander (talk) 18:56, July 11, 2017 (UTC)
