So you're playing New Vegas right, and you go to a different location and you're at the loading screen. You know how it would give you tips and hints at the top? Ever seen it mention some sort of hidden safe that prospectors are trying to get to? Where the Heck is that at? My brother and I theorized that it would be Vault 34, and I've tried scrounging for information on the wiki but I can't get anything. Any ideas?
That is because the loading screen you are talking about is not referring to a specific place in the game. It is stating that prospectors look for things of value that are sometimes hard to get at, whereas scavengers will pretty much loot just about anything. Prospector is a more polite term for scavenger since in the southwest they no longer have to salvage whatever they can to get by and can focus on things of real value or high value. 71.171.112.74 03:03, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
Yea that comment during loading screen isn't really a reference to a specific place, but to the mentality of what prospectors do. Their joy in life is trying to find a super hidden rich hoard of items in hidden caves and safes and areas that no one else has looked for. If you think about it, your character is the ULTIMATE prospector, since they are looking to loot everything in the wasteland no matter where its found, and to explore every nook and cranny they can get to.
ive been search mines near highly radiated areas such as the north and east gold mines over by camp search light but i havn't rly found anything. i DID however find over 800,00 caps which i loved but im still searching. hope this helps. <Tyson D. Leavitt>
