Hey all.

I've been modding a save at the beginning in the doc's house. I've modded everything including all of the companions to spawn in the doc's house so that I can start with any of them, except for ED-E. I've tried many bat file configurations with no success. ED-E has 3 id's it uses and I've tried them all. Here's one of the configs I've used.

prid 1732d1

moveto player

disable

enable

kill

resurrect

resethealth

setessential 10c769 1

Every time I use this bat it has ED-E spawn in the house. When I interact with ED-E, the dialogue is not the same as if you find it in Primm. I'm stuck. Getting a little frustrated. Any help on this issue would be great.

Thanks.

It probably has something to do with the fact that you must first repair the broken ED-E before one can actually exist. Which is likely a different ID then the actual working companion bot. The Base ID for the normal ED-E you want is 10c769 Ref ID 1732d1. The other 2 are the Weapon or Armor upgraded ED-E you get from finishing his quest. You may want to move the broken Ed-E to the house and then make it spawn the normal ED-E that appears when you fix it in the same spot if needed. --PvtNiss 22:25, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

I agree with what you are saying. The id for the broken ED-E is 1572e6. I've tried many times to have that 'placeatme 1572e6' but the game doesn't like it. I've tried all 3 different id's for the ED-E to spawn at the doc's house with the same companion response and just having the ED-E not being able to fix it and further the dialog. I do think the same if the ED-E that is in Primm is able to spawn in the docs house, it would make spawning it much easier. But, the game doesn't like the id I have for it. I have gone to where the ED-E is in Primm. Where it is sitting on the counter in the Nash residence. That is how I got the id for the broken ED-E. ARGGGG!!!

I don't think you can move the broken ED-E to that house with console commands. It is an object not an NPC and it's impossible to move objects from the console as far as I know. You're going to have to move ED-E to Mitchell's house using the GECK. --PvtNiss 23:50, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

It has crossed my mind that I would have to do that. The reason I wanted all the companions at the docs house is that I am using the save on my xbox360 and pc. I wanted to be able to choose all or just 1 companion when I started a new game. It seems the only course of action is to go to Primm by 'player.moveto 1572e6' and activate ED-E manually. Stupid game!!!
