CarmineKiller38's Wishlist:
  +
1.)Things that shouldn't change or be added no matter what people say:
  +
-Multilayer
  +
-Destroying buildings (unless quest related)
  +
-Getting married
  +
-Changing how to improve skills or the skills in general
  +
-Having more than 1 companion (you'll be overpowered)
  +
-Pip-Boy or the inventory system layout
  +
-Being able to give custom commands to npc's
  +
-Graphics increase (They're just fine)
  +
-Riding vehicles (nuclear power is to scarce)
  +
-Keep unique weapons (yes some people want to get rid of them)
  +
-other country settings like Russia or China, the vaults are in USA
  +
-Getting rid of Brotherhood of Steel (They make up this game)
  +
-Adding starting classes
  +
2.)Ideas that would be cool to implement:
  +
-Adding sex.
  +
-An increase to either level 75 or 100(whichever is realistic)
  +
-A house or location to easily display rare weapons and armor, I love collecting stuff in RPG's
  +
-The ability to drop quest items if the quest is failed or complete, they take up space
  +
-Certain addictions offer perks like a jet addiction increases speed but makes you loose health or crave food
  +
-A better unarmed skill more than uppercuts stuff like kicks or headbutts
  +
-A new trowing weapon skill to have a higher percentage of received thrown weapons like spears or increases the distance too.
  +
-New flamer weapon ammo types like napalm or thermite fuel
  +
-The return of certain weapons (except unique weapons) like the assault rifle, Chinese swords, the axe, alien guns (including the Alien Blaster), Auto-Axe, The MIRV (An exception to unique weapons), Deathclaw Gauntlet, Dart gun, Railway Rifle, Microwave Emitter, Mesmotron, .32 guns, (another exception of unique guns) the Zhu-Wong Chinese Pistol (including regular Chinese pistols), and Euclid's C-Finder (logically the satellite would still be powered and operational)
  +
3.) List of new items:
  +
-Gas Mask
  +
-Rad powered gun (either by being radiated or finding radioactive waste)
  +
-Tommy Gun
  +
-AK-47
  +

-Riot Shield, can be combined with a one-handed weapon like a pistol or a knife
  +

  +
-Mortar (60MM)
  +
-.22 Rifle

Senko's wishlist:
  +
1. Instead of 'easy to forget' un marked quest take the skyrim route and make the misc/ objectives with have a map icon and tells you what your goal is like a regular quest.
  +
  +
2. Get married or atleast build a relationship and have children if in an opposite sex relationship. I mean your in a wasteland you could die the next second over anything seems logical to atleast try for happiness. Hell you could date one of your compaions.
  +
  +
3.I want the world and its inhabitants to be Physically, Mentally, and spiritually change by my desicions much like in the first two Fable games. Verionca wanted a leggy brunette female i made one and the dialoge was stil the same as if i was dangling.
  +
  +
LooseBolts's wishlist:
  +
  +
1. Fix them Iron Sights up good, i want genuine high end FPS quality iron sights
  +
  +
2. Weather Systems: Not just weather but i want weather to affect how to tackle a mission. Ex: You arrive at a village to find that slave traders are holding everyone hostage and you need to rescue them. One wrong move could lead to their deaths. You notice you have no silencers for your guns and you can't get close enough to do a sneak attack melee, but its night time and its a thunder storm. You time your shots with VATS based on when the thunder BOOMS so it will mask the sound of your shot. Doing this you pick of the enemies one by one till its safe to go in and finish off the rest. Using the weather to your advantage adds strategy and badassery.
  +
  +
3. Skills level up like Skyrim: I liked how skills improved in Skyrim based on how much you used the skill. I want to have it where if i manage to take more accurate shots with my guns then my gun skill levels up.
  +
  +
4. Better Looking Gibs: In Fallout i liked how if your slice/slash/shot/smash/blast was directed at a certain limb then that limb disconnected as a gib. My only problem was that the injury looked weird. How would a shotgun to the knee leave a perfectly clean slice that you would get from a bladed object? If you slice/ hack/ or slash a limb it should look like a clean cut. If you break and smash it the physics should show when you move the body that its flopping around like a wet noodle. Or if you shoot it off the stump should look gross and mangled.
  +
  +
5. Craftable/Deployable Traps: Now i don't know about you but when i played Fallout i preferred tactics over running into battle. To fit that style of playing you should be able to craft traps on the fly with a certain perk and then deploy them. Ex: Lets say your at a doorway and you hear lots of voices of bandits from behind the door and you don't have enough ammo to just shoot them all, what do you do? Open up the craft menu thanks to the tenacious tinkerer perk ( name needs some work), make some mines or tripwire traps, or any other trap you could think of, set them by the door or wherever you see fit, attract them into the room and BAM your survival skill increases and you feel like a ninja.

rohit's wishlist:
  +
  +
1. The player should be allowed to buy some property like gas station, etc in the wasteland and can earn money by selling stuffs in those gas stations and wallmarts.
  +
  +
2. The player should be allowed to rent or buy any house of his choice and settle down with his love mate or any close friend.
  +
  +
3. A new sub missions like kidnapping and ransom should be incorporated in the game like when the player returns to his house, he finds everything scrambled and finds his lovemate missing and embarks on a journey to find her or maybe he gets a mysterious call out of nowhere demanding for ransom.
  +
  +
4. The player should be allowed to go on a espionage mission among any other faction.
  +
  +
5. Also one thing i noticed in previous games was that drinking alcohol didnt have any affect on any person i mean they were all acting sober, this should be corrected. The player should be allowed to get any person drunk and extract secret information out of him/her or take her advantage.
  +
  +
6. The player should be able to engage more than one person in a fist fight.
  +
  +
7. The player should be able to manipulate anyone.
  +
  +
8. There should be motorcycles in new game.
  +

GobTheGhoul's wishlist:
  +
Pretty much everything has been covered but I do think it would be cool if you could have a method of transport/Inventory like a Brahmin.
  +
  +
It would also be really cool if the survival aspect was increased. I don't like the idea that you should rule the wastes personally, I would prefer if you have to really work you're way up and even at the end there should still be a challenge where you still aren't king of the wastes.
  +
  +
Hardcore mode is a must.
  +
  +
So maybe you could have a tent and be able to set up a temporary camp that will be a location on the map until you move it. You would need to find a safe spot that can give you shelter. Or maybe you may need to go and clear out an area.
  +
  +
And maybe rather than having only a few companions you could eventually have 3 and have a squad, all with different specialties to help you survive the dangers of the wasteland
  +
  +
And finally; I think it would be really cool if the Ghoul's have variants that are more significant, like runners, slow ones that cause more damage, armed ones, and all the current types. Plus they could have hoards and behave more like the zombies do in The Walking Dead.
  +
  +
Obviously I could go on about improved AI, more guns and more detailed locations but its pretty much all been covered now.

Santa Claus wishlist:
  +
  +
1. My biggest wish is that i want an evolving wasteland. Like in fallout 3 if i visit megaton after 200 hours of gameplay i want the city to have changed. New people, new stuff. Maybe someone could have new dialog options. I want it to be a living and breathing wasteland. The same goes for new vegas. Other than that i think all of you guys have summed it up pretty good! :)

2. More "hardcore survival". Crafting items are cool, and i like the places were you get frustrated about not having a shovel, when you want to dig up a grave. It would be cool to use more of thoose things, like you realy need a knife for certain things, a can opener to open old cans.

3. weather system, and seasons. You are out in the wastland, you should be fighting the elements. You should be able to freeze when its could, get sick from being cold and hot and wet etc. If you want to survive in a dessert area, you should have to bring alot of water, and if you want to survive in a snowy wet area, you should wear a warm jacket. Heat up next to campfires, get antibiotics for amnomia, etc. It should be fucking hard just trying to survive in the postapocalyptic world.

4. More specialized guns. Add more mods, and make the guns/modds harder to get. When you finaly get your special hunting rifle with scope and extra mags, you should feel like you´ve accomplished something.

Bisonzz's wishlist
  +

First of all i want to start this off by saying that, while incredible stuff like a destructible environment would be awesome, some things just arent really possible for an early release date. Despite this, a simple physX engine that creates dust and dirt if you shoot a rockey at the ground or something would work. But blowing up houses just isnt quite possible yet on a map the size of to fallouts. Also, PLANES?!?!?, im in favour of an old beater motorcycle or a buggy or something but to make a map big enough for planes to be a reasonable form of travel would take ages to make.
  +
  +
1. First off ive seen some complaints about the metro system. While they were terrifying, the atmosphere of them was incredible and they have so much potential.
  +
  +
2.Different types of ghouls would be awesome. there could be runners, slow ones that deal more dmg, crawling ones. its a great opportunity.
  +
  +
3. Smoother combat would be nice. Fallout NV was clunky and 3 was downright awful.
  +
  +
4. A decently smart AI that did something other than charge at you one after the other saying painfully overused shout-outs. If I hear "Tear 'em apart!" one more time, somones going to die.
  +
  +
5 .The faction system of NV was an awesome idea and Bethesda could expand on this by making new and more diverse ones (eg. robots etc..)
  +
  +
6. More guns, armor, and modifications.
  +
  +
7. A new type of weapon would be really cool (eg. a gun that charges off radiation)
  +
  +
8. Co-op would be really cool
  +

- I would also like to see unlimited amounts of new guns and armor making the game seem endless. Every corner you turn there is something new and something more bad ass looking then what you already have.

An indie game maker
  +
  +
1.Make minigames or jobs like play pool, cards, defend the town or hunting.
  +
2.Get better graphics for god sakes and make the centaurs less disguising those things make me quite playing.
  +
3.Make it more realistic with marriage and kids that grow up and weather.
  +
4.Better survival like you’d think you would have to go hunting or scavenging and raiding give us backpacks as well. More survival less mercenary jobs.
  +
5.Transport just bikes and buggies would be nice.
  +
6.Destruction I mean the place was nuked and you can’t even blow up a building
  +
7.How about better endings and free roam when you finish. Oh and how about some cinematic that happen every now and again in a quest and no not the crappy one from fallout 3 in the end.
  +
8.Cover mechanics and smarter AI would be nice.
  +
9.Able to become a cyborg like a vampire or werewolf in TES.
  +
10.Customization from armour to weapons. You could change the colour or camo engrave stuff into your gun I dunno get creative this game could be an awesome one.
  +
11.Speaking of guns how about some better guns, not four guns that are all the exact same. A unique gun should look cool and different not get an assault rifle and call it bobs assault rifle.
  +
12.House customization you know what that is.
  +
13.NO karma it’s an apocalyptic world why would you care if I stole something and you didn’t even know.
  +
14.If you have stealth skill why not make it really cool. You can actually do something if you get high enough stealth like stealth kills or climb on pipes.
  +
15.The clothes should be actual clothes not armour it is not skyrim we are not knights.
  +
16.More character customization.
  +
17.Instead of build a town how about make your own little quarantine zone where your community helps each other survive adding to the survival. Survive bandit raids which happen when you start the quest.
  +
18.Underwater combat and exploration.
  +
19.If it has been like seventeen to eighty years after the war don’t you think civilisation will be rebuilding a little and grass and trees would be growing again? I am not saying the whole apocalyptic feeling gone but little forest areas. I mean it’s not like every new game made they re nuke the whole map.
  +
20.Finally a pip boy that doesn’t suck, make it do something other than equip you however the hell that works. Make it call people you know to come to you (that are companions) give it an index I dunno just something otherwise you may as well do what last of us did. Make the backpack your equipment equip thing.

Tlacy94s Wishlist
  +
  +
1. Be able to have more then one equipped weapon. I mean I'd like to see a rifle on my back while shooting my pistol.
  +
  +
2. Armor customization, able to add your own colors to armor or something. Paint isn't all gone why can i paint my combat armor pink?
  +
  +
3. More variety in how armor looks to start off. Every leather armor shouldn't look like the same thing.
  +
  +
4. Area quests, quests that you can find just by wandering around.
  +
  +
5. Make any place you want into a home. And I mean literally, Why have a set home? Every other scavenger and there grand mother can make a home in the Wasteland why can't I? I like the feel that could happen.
  +
  +
Big926's Wishlist:
  +
  +
1: Emphasize the player v. environment interactions. Radioactive rain, blistering sand storms, etc.
  +
  +
2: Make the factions that exist have greater influence/control over the game map. I saw no reason to be nice to the Powder Gangers or Khans because I knew nothing bad would happen if I just went around shooting them on sight. Sure, I can't go to their respect bases, but beyond that, no repercussions.
  +
  +
3: Fix the morality system. I shouldn't gain morality points for chasing bounties. I killed Fiends like Cook-Cook for the caps, not for justice. The same goes for ghouls. If a ghoul comes after me and I kill it, that should not be considered a good action.
  +
  +
4: Blur the lines between right and wrong. It was pretty obvious in FO3 and FONV who the bad guys were. Honestly, if the Legion advocated order and stability at the price of freedom instead of crucifying people because it's fun, I would side with them in a heartbeat.
  +
  +
5: Fix the collision meshes. It is very annoying to get into cover behind a building or a car, aim, and fire only to have your shot hit the air above the cover you're using.
  +
  +
6: More NPC's. What the last two fallout have done wrong is put a few NPC's in spread out cities. As a result, many of the towns felt empty, especially area that should have been bustling with activity, namely the Strip. Make Fallout 4 underscore the issue of overpopulation. People should want to crowd into on large, safe area instead of living far and between one another.

Rastamouse's Wishlist
  +
  +
1) More vault, and vault history ect, it was enjoyable and fascinating.
  +
  +
2)Return the BoS maybe, but create new facyions, not just some recycled ones, like new vegas had.
  +
  +
3) Pherhaps a DLC telling us about China, or even bringing us there?
  +
  +
4) Maybe more in-depth character development
  +
  +
5) Make cities/towns and settlements better done, most were quite useless, with literally 1-2 quests, making them quite boring and un-important
  +
  +
6) More choices
  +
  +
7) Better karma system
  +
  +
8) Dont use Skyrim's levelling system, it doesnt really work with a game series like fallout.
  +
  +
9) Mixing armours, much like raider armour.
  +
  +
10) Other races may not work.. for example a android would be destroyed by radiation, A super mutant couldnt really enter buildings.. and as it says there's a low chance of ghoulification.
  +
  +
11) A survival DLC much like dead money, but not as bad.
  +
  +
12) Maybe some readable books
  +
  +
13) Anyone who says the radiation has cleared by now, is a complete cock, radiation takes ages to decay properly, Two hundred years would really just mean a more weakened yet wider spread radiation, and its unlikely more people are settling about - their fear and xenophobia of outsiders and raiders means they'll psychologically only feel safe where they lived.
  +
  +
14) Vehicles - No thanks.. There's a thing called "fast travel", maybe mounts yes, and sprinting yes, but as proven the only working vehicles as known are vetibirds, which take very big scientific and engineering knowledge of several scientists to activate and run.
  +
  +
15) Again on the BoS, maybe reveal what happened to the original BoS?
  +
  +
16) More real world locations :)
  +
  +
17) Better character design
  +
  +
18) Starting a town, maybe? however if you really want a town simulator, go play simcity, maybe a small ranch, or renovating a old office block for example, but lets be realistic.
  +
  +
19) Bigger map.
  +
  +
20) Smarter AI, the old one had the attention span of a brick.
  +
  +
21) Bigger choices, now I dont wanna sound like these fallout 1&2 snobs, that have some superiority illusion they played the original, I did too, but I'm not a total shit, but they have a point, choices need to have meaning!
  +
  +
22) Rastamouse
  +
  +
23) Developing on old pre-war stuff more, like more brands, and companies.
  +
  +
24) Maybe some better more branded weapons, I know there's mods for people who'd like a Uzi, or a H&K 416, but maybe just some more detailed weapons.
  +
  +
25) Closing up on the enclave once and for all, it's just like Jason of Friday the 13th, they can never seem to stop.
  +
  +
26) LIBERTY PRIME!!
  +
  +
28) It's a 18.. Why does sex, violence and other issues as slavery be so lightcore, when you buy 18 - you get 18, and these twats saying violent videogames cause you to go nuts blowing people's heads off - many scientific journals have disproved this.
  +
  +
29) More active environment and eco-system, like Skyrim but better.
  +
  +
30) Better Radio, just look at GTA's, interesting and engaging, not the same stuff over and over.
  +
  +
31) Maybe a dlc in Canada or Mexico.
  +
  +
32) Dont recycle dlc ideas.. anyone could see much of NV's dlc was recycled version's of fallout 3's.
  +
  +
33) What happened to Our character of F3 (For those with Broken steel), and NV.
  +
  +
34) Something like Broken steel, I enjoyed being able to play after the main quest, why couldn't I in NV?
  +
  +
35) What is good, and what is bad? How is helping the NCR become dictators better than taking one bullet? Who honestly is good or bad? It should be based on what you singularly do, not on what factions ask of you.
  +
  +
36) Actually joining factions, NV seemed to jump it on you way too fast, realistically you wouldnt be sent alone, both NCR and leigon would've protected you, and wouldn't have trusted you straight away.
  +
  +
37) Stuff to spend on, a very big problem for me, I bought every good weapon I could find, all the upgrades, and implants, played all the games, spent money on quests where such was required - but I find myself making more? So please let's have more spending options, or less money.
  +
  +
38) I know a lot of the more "hardcore innit fans", hate this, but the idea of a romance isn't as stupid as made out to be.
  +
  +
39) Development of other characters - if you give one a quest, make them detailed and relevant dont forget them straight after, make the player care and "give a shit", and not let them end up as fodder.
  +
  +
40) A fallout 5 of course ! :)
  +

==TheGamerTrainer's Wishlist==
  +
1. Add in weapon modifications. This was probably the best mod that got voted in on FO:NV.
  +
2. More stuff, property, people, weapons, ammo, items and other stuff to buy. And yes, I said people. As I'm replaying fallout 3, it's interesting to note that not only is your interaction with the slaves in the slave pens only one line sentences, that once you rescue the kids and then pay for them, they respawn and the quest restarts. However, I do think it should be allowed to have at least one forced companion. There's this game I can think of in which you play as a guy who has a collar on him that this chick put on who you play as in where he needs to keep the chick alive if he's to stay alive as well. It was interesting for sure.
  +
3. More adult content if possible. Not necessarily sex though.
  +
  +
  +
-Push You Downs list-
  +
  +
1. Better Radio/More Songs - I liked the Daring Dashwood radio show from F3, so another one of those. Maybe a comedy show? More vintage songs, but also maybe throw a little money into it and commission some of the retro-bands/groups out there to do an in-universe vintage sounding song. Like someone singing a Johnny Horton style "Ballad of the Battle of Anchorage" or get the Apple Sisters to sing some jingles for Fancy Lad Cakes or Nuka-cola.
  +
  +
2 Reasons to return - I'm doing another play through of NV right now and finishing up Veronica's quest while waiting the day for the ill-fated Dr. Schiller, instead of just sleeping until the next day. I went back and visited Goodsprings and Nipton. I'd love for there to be reasons to return to early locations- new dialogue options, new side-quests, player homes. Etc.
  +
  +
3. Vehicles - add them but make them rare and vulnerable. I thought State of Decay did this well. There's a finite number of cars and they can only take so much abuse. Make it a big deal and considerable investment when a character gets a vehicle.
  +
  +
4. Followers/Companions - make it possible to recruit faction soldiers for short term. Ex. I'm going to assault the Legion Slave camp (not as part of a quest)while IODLIZED by the NCR. I should be able to recruit through dialogue options a few NCR soldiers to accompany me. Maybe they stay with the character for set number of hours unless engaged in combat.
  +
  +
5. "dolly dress-up" - outfit customization. I liked Fable's format if top, pants, gloves, boots, headgear options.
  +
  +
6. "King of the Wastes" would be a good playmode perhaps separate from the main quest. You take over or create a settlement and recruit citizens, etc.
  +

==FALLOUT 4 WISHLIST BY JCKLVSHR==
  +
<<METAL DETECTOR>>
  +
An idea I think would be worth pursuing is the addition of a Metal Detector in Fallout 4. The Fallout series is all about scavenging & what could be more true to that ideal than a Metal Detector? A side quest can be created which would ultimately lead the player to completing a custom-made Metal Detector (which can be upgraded gradually over time from very scarce resources ie Magnets, Motorcycle Handles, Steel Pipe etc). Several factors could be improved such as depth, accuracy & range by "modding" the Metal Detector. The player could then equip the Metal Detector as a "weapon" & select the "metal detector radio channel" & walk around the wastes listening for the *beeps*. Once a *beep* is heard the player can equip the Shovel & dig at the site to uncover hidden treasures (one would think the best weapon in the game would be hidden like this, but ammo, bottle caps, magazines etc would be some of the rewards) PERKS should be available to help the player locate treasures such as another colour bar appearing on the compass (similar to enemies), but used to highlight hidden/buried treasure. Quests could also be prompted by finding mysterious items, keys or even buried dead bodies!
  +
  +
==Fallout 4 by anon==
  +
1.A proper more in depth story with entertaining side quests and misc quests. By a in depth story I mean something you can get attached to and it has a reason. For example New Vegas was all about vengeance and that is unrealistic for a courier in times like that. Fallout 3 had a decent story...if the whole story was about the purifier. I mean looking for your dad makes sense but come on I personally wasn’t attached.
  +
  +
2.More and better factions. I want to see a fallout game with a main side quest for the faction, I also want to see actual jobs to do like Skyrim when you keep getting contracts for the dark brotherhood. The brother hood better also become much better like in fallout 3 because in new Vegas I hated them.
  +
  +
3.Better character customisation. I want to see more options and I also want to see my character and other NPC’s look like normal not drug addicted people. Because every fallout my character looks good but he also looks like he just overdosed on psycho I mean its impossible to make his face look not wrinkled or smooth. You get what I mean.
  +
  +
4.Dating/Marriage and actually has a reason. So not just Skyrim logic like give someone milk and get married. I mean like go through a companions whole full detailed quest line and then they can be married or become your boy or girlfriend. This is a good way to add to character development and make those people that are really into “feeling close to a NPC” thing work. If this is implemented into the game make sure she/he can actually be treated and do things the person would do.
  +
  +
5.Better graphics and animations. Not amazing graphics but just a little more decent graphics. Animations on the other hand make that a lot better and not like your character cannot run diagonal without running like he is running straight, when talking to someone they don’t just move their hand and maybe (not really important) a few cool cut scenes that aren’t any longer than a few seconds.
  +
6.Sprinting. Give us that damn sprint button so we can get away and or get to a location faster.
  +
  +
7.FOCUS ON SURVIVAL! Ok so it hasn’t hit me until hardcore but fallout needs to focus a little more on survival. You could turn it off. But seriously when I play hardcore it was rather fun to have to go scavenging and yet that was too easy after the first few supply runs. I want a hydration, hunger, sleep so on bar that makes you need to survive. If this was implemented into fallout it could be so much more than it already is because come on...it’s an apocalypse and I don’t even need to eat or drink until I get shot five times in the head.
  +
  +
8.This will probably get a lot of hate but you have to I mean have to add this...more normal clothes with the exception of bringing back all the armours from previous games but making them rare armour. It’s almost as if earth downgrades itself in the future and has a few cool futuristic tweaks but with a con of going back to 1780. Give us average clothes with high enough stats to survive in like a t-shirt and hoods ect. Then you can customise it and put armour over the top using duct tape and scrap metal.
  +
  +
9.Sickness if you add normal clothes into the game and focus on survival then that could mean you could get sick because its cold one day and then its boiling the next. You would have to change clothes.
  +
  +
10.Backpacks. The new carry weight system you could also add to this with pockets and extra strap pocket things.
  +
  +
11.More perks more guns. And no not guns from 1880.
  +
  +
12.Finally as for the list could go on if I wanted to be greedy of how much you could upgrade this game. A co-op or split screen or something that way you have people who are smart and can help you out (yes you can turn friendly fire on and off for those damn trolls) not only can you go out in style and look like you have actual friends but you could also feel less alone in the world. (especially from them damn centaurs. Ew!)

====What I DO and Do NOT want to see in Fallout 4 by Jambo11====
  +
  +
'''DO want:'''
  +
  +
7. Variable VATS speed: Slow-mo nonsense of VATS cinematics gets old. Add a gameplay setting that allows players to adjust the speed of the cinematics. Even three settings would be enough, ranging from normal to real-time. Yes, this can be addressed by modders (and has been), but this should be a vanilla gameplay setting, anyway.
  +
  +
6. Dialogue choices that refer to significant past events/deeds: e.g. If I killed Caesar, I should have additional dialogue options with Joshua Graham in Honest Hearts.
  +
  +
5. Immersive Containers - Weapon/Armor storage that can display its contents, e.g. a gun racks and closets and/or mannequins.
  +
  +
Think of how immersive would that be to actually see weapons and armor that you have stored...
  +
To store it, you would open the container window. As it's sitting in the gun rack, clicking on it would bring up a menu: Examine, Modify, or Pick up/Equip.
  +
  +
4. Bows - Compound bows and crossbows. It shouldn't be too difficult. After all, TES and Fallout use the same animation files. Possibly, allow one to increase the draw weight to increase damage, which would, in turn, increase the Strength requirement.
  +
  +
3. Prone and belly-crawling - I want to be able to lay prone and belly-crawl. Crouch is...okay...but trying to sneak up on the gate guards at Fort Bannister is nigh impossible when one's character can't stay under chest-height while "Sneaking."
  +
  +
2. Give the antagonist a taste of their own medicine:
  +
Raise your hand if you wanted to stick a giant backpack on Caesar and make him lug it around.
  +
Raise your hand if you wanted to crucify Caesar and his little toadies.
  +
  +
1. Dialogue options to question the/an antagonist's motives:
  +
The player ''absolutely'' should be able to ask a slaving misogynist why they treat women the way they do, and why they enslave people, ESPECIALLY as a female character.
  +
  +
'''Do NOT want:'''
  +
  +
4. Immersion-breaking NPC dialogue: e.g. I just killed Benny while we were alone in his room, but the entire strip already knows about it. Even the Chairmen act like they want to give me high-five for killing him.
  +
  +
3. Repetitive NPC Dialogue:
  +
  +
- "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter."
  +
  +
- "Our guys put the monorail back to work!"
  +
  +
- "No monorail access to the strip? Where am I supposed to take my leave: Freeside?"
  +
  +
- Need I say more?
  +
  +
2. Useless icons - I despise useless icons taking up space in the user interface that could be better used for additional keybindings. e.g. the "Ammo Swap" icon and the icon in the middle. Get rid of them, so we can have 9 keys to ourselves.
  +
  +
1. Hardcoded keybindings - Absolutely no hardcoded keybindings

Jrsyboy's Wishlist:
  +
  +
1. Enhanced weapon mods. The idea in New Vegas was cool, but many weapons did not have them and the mods for weapons that did, could not be removed. That needs to be fixed. Also, I can't see the problem with being able to add just visual changes like weapon skins or just the pieces (like a different barrel or stock), without having an effect, but the ones with effects should be done again as well.
  +
  +
2. A renovation system. I think a cool idea would be to have an Assassin's Creed ll like town upgrade system. In your player home, there should be a main hub like in the Auditore Villa where you can upgrade buildings in existing towns, right after purchasing the property, of course. Every upgrade would not only provide a sufficient increase in cap income but would change visually as well. Hell, why not also be able to establish your own town, complete with buildings and decor where and how you like. We should be able to name the town and create a militia to protect it.
  +
  +
3. If the renovation system is added, you'd be making a truckload of caps with nothing to spend it on afterwards if you bought and upgraded all the available venues. With that in mind, not only should we be able to create towns, but businesses or factions as well. What if we could create our own caravan company and establish trade points while outfitting our guards with high-end equipment to protect convoys from raider attacks. We could create our own trading empire.
  +
  +
4. I like the faction system. In New Vegas, I enjoy helping the NCR, and when my reputation increases, I am recognized to a certain extent. Yet with all I do for these factions, I feel as if I'm just the errand boy. I should, after obtaining a honourable reputation, be able to join the faction and become a general in the case of the NCR or the legate for the Legion. And similar to the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood pigeon convoy mini-activity, I should send troops or start campaigns to eradicate enemies from an area. When you visit that area that was once held by the rival faction, it would instead be ruled by your faction.
  +
  +
5. Fast travel to home. I never liked the idea of having to fast travel to the Strip North Gate, go through the checkpoint, then enter the Lucky 38, then go to my suite in the Penthouse. Guess what, that's four loading screens. That should be cut back to only two. I should be able to fast travel to a secret entrance that would bring me right to my player home.
  +
  +
6. Mods; for console! It can be done, Bethesda can create some sort of creation kit that one or more people can use to create mods for the console version. You and your friends can use your mics to voice act characters. How come PC players can only extend their games past the vanilla version. With the new 8th-gen consoles, the systems' hardware should be powerful enough to have mods installed on it with no reduction in performance (do it right, PlayStation!) There could be a mod library in the main menu where you can browse for all Nexus categories of mods or look at the hottest rated mods. Bethesda can approve mods themselves and those mods would be featured in a Weekly Star Showcase, where the top 10 best mods are upfront for one week for everyone to see when they go into the mod library.
  +
  +
7.A new engine. No, not the Creation Engine. Because, just like the Gamebryo Engine, the more optimizations and enhancements the engine's old mechanics get, the slower in performance we receive, which will be the case in the Creation Engine. It will get older, and from rumors I've heard, Fallout 4 will not be here for another year or two. If Fallout 4 truly is Bethesda's next greatest project, they should show it by creating an entirely new engine to really make the visuals pop in amazement and correspond with what the new systems' hardware is really capable of.
  +
  +
8. Last but not least, provide us with hundreds of hours of content. Skyrim had an outstanding amount of main/side quests and miscellaneous quests, but a bunch of them were very repetitive. I no longer wish to exterminate animals for Aela or kill bandit leaders in caves I've cleared many times over for a measly couple hundred gold in for a bounty reward set by the jarl. I want variety, more than what Skyrim offered. Add mini-games as well. Shooting range challenges, board games with NPCs for caps, hell, add gambling in again. When I don't want or have completed most of the quests, and I'm not playing any mods, I should be able to play those games or have cool random encounters to find in the wasteland. I want to immerse myself in a game where I can be lost for hours at a time, and make it feel like minutes.

Cloudstrife4life's wish-list
  +
Do want:
  +
1.) Ability to remove weapon mods.
  +
Having a suppressed 10mm handgun in New Vegas can be fun, but annoying due to possible an ineffectual range.
  +
2.) Dual wield
  +
Dual wielding handguns or sub-machine guns can be cool, especially if you mix them up.
  +
3.) 2 humanoid companions at once, no more, no less
  +
Contrary to someone else, I hate choosing between either Boone or Veronica, they both have effective companion perks to give, why can't we have both?
  +
Deathclaws will be easier, as one of my characters, Boone and ED-E are no match for them.
  +
4.) Vehicles
  +
travelling while over-encumbered with awesome yet heavy weapons is annoying, even with max strength and Strong Back.
  +
  +
Do not want:
  +
1.) Repeating NPC lines
  +
That gets really boring, even after experimenting with character creation.
  +
2.) Third person view
  +
It really irritates me when I'm having to watch YouTube videos involving third person gameplay.

Fallout Lover's Wish-List
  +
Dos:
  +
  +
Rugged and simple vehicle - perhaps a 4-wheeler that's slow and reguires limited fuel, but lets you haul more gear
  +
  +
Hard-core settings that are really hard-core. This should be as realistic as possible with realistic carrying capacity and fatigue. No one, no matter how strong he is, can carry 200 pounds of gear in any way and still walk around, let along run and fight.
  +
  +
Armor selection should be more meaningful. There should be legitimate reasons to chose light armors (faster movement, less fatigue) versus combat armor (good middle ground), and power armor (expensive, slow, and reduced agility for instance)
  +
  +
Realistic weapons. Consult with people who actually know firearms and how to use them. The 10mm Auto cartridge for instance approaches the power of a .41 Magnum. It is powerful, but often more than people of average strength can deal with for instance. The assault rifle (roughly modeled on the AR-15) should be more accurate than the Chinese Assault rifle (roughly modeled on various AK-100 series rifles), but the latter should degrade slower. Both fire the same cartridge from similar barrel lengths and thus have the same terminal ballistics (damage characteristics).
  +
  +
Reloading ammo in NV was great, but the fact that spent cartridges just appeared in your inventory was immersion breaking. When you get into a fire fight, have it randomly spawn a few mounds of spent cartridges on the ground nearby. Thus if you have to flee, you lose that resource.
  +
  +
Limit the amount of weaponry a person can carry to realistic levels - at least in hard-core (or perhaps a super hard-core option). One large weapon (rifle, shotgun, sledgehammer, etc), one secondary weapon (pistol, SMG, etc.) and one last-resort/utility weapon (knife, tomahawk, etc). Big guns would take up two of these slots and/or require power armor to wield effectively.
  +
  +
True post-apocalyptic world. Fallout 3 was FAR superior to NV in this. NV didn't even feel like it was on the same planet. No big "countries" like the NCR or Ceasar's Legion. No major power players on the level of Mr. House. Everyone should be struggling.
  +
  +
Get us into a new region. The south-east would be a brilliant place to explore, with a combination of large cities (Atlanta, Birmingham, etc.) and huge rural and wilderness areas (swamps, forests, coastal prairies).
  +
  +
Better player housing, possibly with the ability to construct a variable house like in Skyrim:Hearthfire. Shouldn't be a mansion, but more variability than what you got in Megaton or the Lucky 38 would be great.
  +
  +
Weather. Especially in hard-core. I want to deal with freezing temperatures in the winter, or heat-stroke in the summer. I want radioactive rain that forces you to find shelter.
  +
  +
More dynamic environment where the player's actions result in changes to the world.
  +
  +
Merge Melee and Unarmed into a single Melee skill. There's no point in having both of them.
  +
  +
Merge Small Guns and Energy Weapons into a single skill. Yes, there would be some differences in maintenance and stuff, but that's handled by Repair. An energy rifle is no more different from an AK-47 than and AK-47 is from a 1911.
  +
  +
Livelier wasteland. I want more animals, even if they are background (birds and insects for instance). Even with vaults and fallout shelters, if animal life didn't survive the nuclear holocaust, man can't do so either.
  +
  +
More voice actors. I hate hearing Moira Brown everywhere. Even in NV, all the generic NPCs sounded alike.
  +
  +
Don'ts:
  +
  +
Swamp people. Not only were these people ridiculous, they were incredibly offensive. No other group of Americans would have been stereotyped in such a negative way in a Fallout game, so you shouldn't do it to Southerners either.
  +
  +
For the love of Pete don't allow dual-wielding of guns. It's just retarded. Anyone with any experience with firearms will tell you it's ineffective. You can't hit anything, and you can't fire as quickly as some one using a single gun with magazine changes. Fallout games should be as realistic as possible and not do things just because some one thinks it's cool.
  +
  +
Super Mutant and Ghoul characters. Fallout is at its heart a game of human survival in a hellish world. Turning the character into something non-human erases that.
  +
  +
Avoid all Mary Sueness. The greatest example is Megaton. The Lone Wanderer walks out of the vault and is immediately able to disarm a nuclear bomb which has threatened the lives of hundreds or thousands of people living around it for 200 years. Seriously? Did they not have at least one scrappy teenager willing to take a shot at it in 200 years?
  +
  +
Linear plots. While Fallout 3 had a great story and is a far better game overall than NV, there was really only one way to complete it.
  +
  +
Have a meaningless karma stat alongside reputation. Ditch one or the other, or keep both and make both meaningful. A bad reputation and a good karma might mean that people don't like you, but still expect you to play fair. A good reputation and a bad karma might make people tolerate you, but not like you in your own faction for example.
  +
  +
Let the player amass a huge amount of power easily. NV was practically broken in this regard with the ridiculous casinos.
  +
  +
The guild quest lines in Skyrim were some of my favorite things about the game and I was disappointed that their was nothing similar to it in Fallout 3 and I'd love to see it being implemented in the next title

Revision as of 18:05, 10 April 2016

Forums: Index > Fallout 4 general discussion > Fallout 4 Wishlist

CarmineKiller38's Wishlist: 1.)Things that shouldn't change or be added no matter what people say:

       -Multilayer
       -Destroying buildings (unless quest related)
       -Getting married
-Changing how to improve skills or the skills in general
-Having more than 1 companion (you'll be overpowered)
-Pip-Boy or the inventory system layout
-Being able to give custom commands to npc's
       -Graphics increase (They're just fine)
-Riding vehicles (nuclear power is to scarce)
-Keep unique weapons (yes some people want to get rid of them)
-other country settings like Russia or China, the vaults are in USA
-Getting rid of Brotherhood of Steel (They make up this game)
       -Adding starting classes

2.)Ideas that would be cool to implement:

       -Adding sex.
-An increase to either level 75 or 100(whichever is realistic)
-A house or location to easily display rare weapons and armor, I love collecting stuff in RPG's
-The ability to drop quest items if the quest is failed or complete, they take up space
-Certain addictions offer perks like a jet addiction increases speed but makes you loose health or crave food
-A better unarmed skill more than uppercuts stuff like kicks or headbutts
-A new trowing weapon skill to have a higher percentage of received thrown weapons like spears or increases the distance too.
-New flamer weapon ammo types like napalm or thermite fuel
-The return of certain weapons (except unique weapons) like the assault rifle, Chinese swords, the axe, alien guns (including the Alien Blaster), Auto-Axe, The MIRV (An exception to unique weapons), Deathclaw Gauntlet, Dart gun, Railway Rifle, Microwave Emitter, Mesmotron, .32 guns, (another exception of unique guns) the Zhu-Wong Chinese Pistol (including regular Chinese pistols), and Euclid's C-Finder (logically the satellite would still be powered and operational)

3.) List of new items: -Gas Mask -Rad powered gun (either by being radiated or finding radioactive waste) -Tommy Gun -AK-47 -Rad Grenade -Smoke Grenade (to stay hidden or call support of a faction -Underwater Assault Rifle and Pistol (They are real and the ammo looks like a dart which is a 5.66 caliber round) -BB Pistol -Bows or crossbows or both -Riot Shield, can be combined with a one-handed weapon like a pistol or a knife -Sound based gun -Potato Gun (There are all kinds of fresh potatoes lying around) -Mortar (60MM) -.22 Rifle

Senko's wishlist: 1. Instead of 'easy to forget' un marked quest take the skyrim route and make the misc/ objectives with have a map icon and tells you what your goal is like a regular quest.

2. Get married or atleast build a relationship and have children if in an opposite sex relationship. I mean your in a wasteland you could die the next second over anything seems logical to atleast try for happiness. Hell you could date one of your compaions.

3.I want the world and its inhabitants to be Physically, Mentally, and spiritually change by my desicions much like in the first two Fable games. Verionca wanted a leggy brunette female i made one and the dialoge was stil the same as if i was dangling.

LooseBolts's wishlist:

1. Fix them Iron Sights up good, i want genuine high end FPS quality iron sights

3. Skills level up like Skyrim: I liked how skills improved in Skyrim based on how much you used the skill. I want to have it where if i manage to take more accurate shots with my guns then my gun skill levels up.

1. The player should be allowed to buy some property like gas station, etc in the wasteland and can earn money by selling stuffs in those gas stations and wallmarts.

2. The player should be allowed to rent or buy any house of his choice and settle down with his love mate or any close friend.

3. A new sub missions like kidnapping and ransom should be incorporated in the game like when the player returns to his house, he finds everything scrambled and finds his lovemate missing and embarks on a journey to find her or maybe he gets a mysterious call out of nowhere demanding for ransom.

4. The player should be allowed to go on a espionage mission among any other faction.

5. Also one thing i noticed in previous games was that drinking alcohol didnt have any affect on any person i mean they were all acting sober, this should be corrected. The player should be allowed to get any person drunk and extract secret information out of him/her or take her advantage.

6. The player should be able to engage more than one person in a fist fight.

7. The player should be able to manipulate anyone.

8. There should be motorcycles in new game.

GobTheGhoul's wishlist: Pretty much everything has been covered but I do think it would be cool if you could have a method of transport/Inventory like a Brahmin.

It would also be really cool if the survival aspect was increased. I don't like the idea that you should rule the wastes personally, I would prefer if you have to really work you're way up and even at the end there should still be a challenge where you still aren't king of the wastes.

Hardcore mode is a must.

So maybe you could have a tent and be able to set up a temporary camp that will be a location on the map until you move it. You would need to find a safe spot that can give you shelter. Or maybe you may need to go and clear out an area.

And maybe rather than having only a few companions you could eventually have 3 and have a squad, all with different specialties to help you survive the dangers of the wasteland

And finally; I think it would be really cool if the Ghoul's have variants that are more significant, like runners, slow ones that cause more damage, armed ones, and all the current types. Plus they could have hoards and behave more like the zombies do in The Walking Dead.

Obviously I could go on about improved AI, more guns and more detailed locations but its pretty much all been covered now.

Santa Claus wishlist:

Henriks wishlist.

1. More precise equipment. I´d like to wear real clothes as armor, pants, shirts, jackets, boots, and backpack. Different backpacks equals changed carrying weight. Clothing and apparel should affekt your stealth, movement, agility etc.

You should be able to freeze when its cold, get sick from being cold and hot and wet etc.

Johnny B's wish list

1. Wild main quest that will deeply immerse us like Fallout 3 2. Side quests that attract us in ways that make us really care and allow us to change our reputation, the way people act towards us, and the physical world 3. More customization for everything from the way the player looks to his/her clothes to their weapons 4. Some type of multiplayer, be it co-op or stats 5. Having to keep tabs on things like hunger, thirst, sleep, and what not 6. If it is farther into the future then I would like for more factions to be fighting over areas, some factions bigger than others depending on how long they've been around. 7. A bigger map with more cities, new and crumbling 8. A more immersed way to interact with NPCs 9. A system for different seasons 10. Do your best to make a game that you could play for hours and make it feel like minutes

Bisonzz's wishlist

First of all i want to start this off by saying that, while incredible stuff like a destructible environment would be awesome, some things just arent really possible for an early release date. Despite this, a simple physX engine that creates dust and dirt if you shoot a rockey at the ground or something would work. But blowing up houses just isnt quite possible yet on a map the size of to fallouts. Also, PLANES?!?!?, im in favour of an old beater motorcycle or a buggy or something but to make a map big enough for planes to be a reasonable form of travel would take ages to make.

1. First off ive seen some complaints about the metro system. While they were terrifying, the atmosphere of them was incredible and they have so much potential.

2.Different types of ghouls would be awesome. there could be runners, slow ones that deal more dmg, crawling ones. its a great opportunity.

3. Smoother combat would be nice. Fallout NV was clunky and 3 was downright awful.

4. A decently smart AI that did something other than charge at you one after the other saying painfully overused shout-outs. If I hear "Tear 'em apart!" one more time, somones going to die.

5 .The faction system of NV was an awesome idea and Bethesda could expand on this by making new and more diverse ones (eg. robots etc..)

6. More guns, armor, and modifications.

7. A new type of weapon would be really cool (eg. a gun that charges off radiation)

8. Co-op would be really cool

--Locusthorde 22:31, June 21, 2012 (UTC)

1. Online & Local Co-Op. Being able to load a character from a save and join your friend in exploration would be amazing. My friend and I would love to be able to do this. This could either be Invite only, friends only, or open to all.

2. Built-in mod support (Console support & modloader for PC). This would make live much easier for both modders and players alike. You could disable mods when hosting a co-op game if you enable random people to join. You could also disable achievements if mods are active.

3. Positions (Standing, Crouching, Prone) This could add a lot to the game. You could create secret holes that you have to crawl through to get to new areas. You could also have different areas in combat areas. Like, you get behind cover, then crawl through a hole in a building flanking raiders, when they come to see where you went you could mow them down.

4. AI. The AI is down right retarded. They can spot you incredibly easy, and once they do they just run strait towards you guns blazing. They almost never use cover, and they don't have any tactics other than to Zerg Rush you. Even if they had basic military tactics (Cover, Flanking, Sneaking) they would become a MUCH more intimidating foe.

5. Gun add-ons & Mods. Now the difference between an add-on and a mod is an add-on is something that can be removed or changed (Scope, silencer, Large magazine) Mods are things that are either very hard to change, or can't be change at all. Like internal mechanisms, or other external modifications.

6. More interaction between NPCs. Things like buying not being just a screen, maybe there could be a short animation of trading caps. This sound cliche' but you could get married and gave kids, who could then grow up and fight with you. You could have a party like Dukov and get drunk. You could get a job, become a trader, mercenary, town watchman, assassin, to (Dare I say it) courier. You could get paid around 30 caps for simple things, or a few hundred for doing long and/or difficult jobs. You could add mini-quests to said jobs that could give the player unique items.

Trader - Lucky coin +10 Barter Mercenary - Upgrade Schematics for guns/Armor Guard - Scope/Binoculars (To see far away raiders) Assassin - Silencer, Special scope (Night scope?) Courier - Travelers pack +10 Wg limit when worn.

There could be many more options. Adding little things like this would also help liven up the game world.

7. More "3D" Worlds. Fallout 3 had metro tunnels, caves, multi-story buildings that led to others and so on. These were great. They made the world seem less empty. With Fallout NV's mohave wasteland it seem very much like a barren empty wasteland. What little there was, was spread out way too much.

7.1 Incorporate Real time settler mod. This mod was amazing, and should have been implemented into the game from the get go. If you don't know, the mod allowed you to start a town, acquire citizens, build structures create a new "Republic of you". If this was added it could added hundreds of hours alone.

8. Clothing/Armor customization. I mean this in two ways. Being able to wear more than just a helmet, glasses and a suit of armor. I mean being able to change what chest, pants, boots and gloves your player wears. This could allow a ton of different looks and benefits. Second, styling of armor, maybe each piece of armor could have an area for something like a Emblem or a "Clan Tag". Though, this would probably require an in-game graphics editor. WHICH ISN'T A BAD IDEA.

9. Spraypaint? With my previous 2 ideas (7.1 & 8) you could actually mix these ideas. Let's say you create the Republic of You, and create your own flag for all citizens to wear. You could then go around parts of the world and spray your flag or logo there. (This sounds like Fallout Ganglang). An example would be Reilly's Rangers armor. They have their own symbol/emblem on their armor representing their mercenary group.

10. Weapons. Frankly, weapons need an overhaul. Iron sights should be implemented, but differently. The weapon sway on weapons is ridiculous. It makes it near impossible to hit anything without a decent guns skill. This could be fixed by having less sway, and having second shots being less accurate.

10.1 Multiple weapons of each type/caliber. Like in Fallout 3, there was the Assault rifle/chinese AR, 10mm pistol/Chinese Pistol and such. There should be guns with different calibers, of the same type. A "modern" 5.56 Assault rifle, an AK 7.62 rifle and a carbine type .223 rifle.

10.2 The add-ons were a great idea (Which was stolen from a FO3 Mod), but they could've been implemented so much better (Like the mod) If I attach a scope, i can remove it just as easy as i put it on. But internal parts not so easily. There also needs to be mods for every single gun, maybe a few special ones for every gun.

10.3 Clips/magazines. One thing I never really understood in video games in general is that as long as you have extra ammo you can always reload without having to refill the clip. Now, you could add this into the "Hardcore" mode type feature. But have it a toggle-able feature. To where you can choose weather or not to have all the features.

11. Hardcore mode needs a re-vamp. It was a great idea, but it really only made the game more annoying to play. Hardcore features should be toggle-able (as previously stated) Things like harder AI, Hunger/thirst/sleep and certain small things (Like ammo reloading).

Tomas' wishlist (PS3 user):

1. Most importantly: Sacrifice whatever graphics enhancement or new system demanding stuff in favour of STABLE GAMEPLAY. The problem of lagging and freezing has GOT to go before anything is implemented that may worsen it. The look and control of the game is great as it is; no need for some fancy makeover.

2.1. Retained difficulty throughout the game. NV is most fun up to level 10-15, then things start to get too easy. Fighting is never a problem, money is never a problem ... Even at very hard or hardcore mode. It's an issue with almost all new video games. No challenge whatsoever! After a fourth of the game you feel like an invincible god with all the items in the world. Perhaps limit the ways the game can be saved? Think of all those 8 bit games which made you feel special if you had the skills and perseverance to beat them.

2.2. Make it more difficult to become economically independent. Give the player incentives to get rid of/sell all his/her stuff ore use it up in some other way. NV made it so easy to hoard stuff and have a couple of crates full of gear worth hundreds of thousands to sell.

2.3. Make it fun/rewarding to choose a more difficult mode. Not just tougher enemies/weaker player, but perhaps perks or items which will only be available when the stakes are higher.

3. Implement a high degree of random loot. After playing NV a couple of times, you know exactly which routes to take and in what order to do things so that you have optimal arsenal at all times. Have special weapons and gear put into the game, but make it so that "there's nothing to say that you will ever obtain them ... only if you're really lucky". Have some fixed items, some random ones ... also in stores. Make the stores more unpredictable.

4. More weapons, more weapon mods, more gear, more perks, more traits ... And get rid of some perks that really don't do anything special (like the Nightstalker Squeezin's perk for example).

5.1. Increased customization of weapons and gear. Give the player an incredibly vast, complex array of variations. Make recipes hard to obtain (perhaps even hard to understand), their "ingredients" hard to obtain, maybe even implement some random result thing when you mix or build together stuff. Make it possible to customize weapons and gear beyond what the game intended, so to say. A good system to take inspiration from is the very complex way of enhancing and enchanting weapons in Neverwinter Nights 2.

5.2. Apart from just armor, headgear and face gear, introduce gloves, belts, boots, hell even rings, bracelets and earrings that can have different properties.

6. Make different character builds more different from each other. Thinking Skyrim or Oblivion is not enough. Think Neverwinter Nights. 70 % of the fun in that game is trying out a new kind of character. In Fallout, you tend to start out with a certain type of character but then you end up being great at everything anyway, the same in Skyrim.

7. Make Explosives a more useful weapon category. Make Melee and Unarmed more different from each other, so that the choice between them (if you want to use one but not the other) is more clear.

8. Remember that receivng, like, 150 caps and being able to barter for an extra 50 isn't really a fun reward for completing a quest (unless of course money is more of an issue in the next Fallout! :D) ... Let the quest giver instead give the player some unique item or return the favour by doing something for the player!

9. Let difficult locations have better loot. For instance, was there something of value at all in that cave with the monstrous Legendary Bloatfly?

10. More sexual content in dialogue.

11. In Fallout 3 you got to see a lot more what your character looks like, for instance in slow-motion when you fight. In NV I was like, at level 20, "What, do I have red hair?"

12. Make the add-ons open world like Big MT.

13. Some people have suggested vehicles, but do you honestly believe that you will be able to swoosh through some populated area with a motorcycle and the game not lagging?

14. Eliminate the need of having to travel back and forth between quest related people so much, just to "give them the news/get your reward/give them the package" ... I wish for a little more imagination when it comes to that. Some smaller quests in previous games are 70 % loading times when you travel and go in and out of doors just for some menial business.

15. I wish for smaller communities in the game to keep on having a dynamic existence, and not be exhausted of possibilities when you completed their usual quests. Make changes occur after a while.

Enclave return. Multiple main storylines at least 4 being able to choose a faction you are born into eg brotherhood of steel enclave NRC etc and apon choosing said faction to be born into you will be given extra perks for your skills such as being born into the enclave will make you smarter and have a higher skill level with science and energy weapons. Also if you were born into the enclave or brotherhood of steel you wil have power armour training.

Hammerhead's Wishlist

Developer: Obsidian (added a fan Bethesta own the rights to the fallout series not obsidian so Bethesta should make and publish the game.)

Publisher: Interplay

Rating: M Release Date: October 23, 2013

Keep most of the New Vegas equipment, obviously add more guns/ammo/armor, but...

1. As bad as Skyrim was, add some functionality from it (Sprinting, vehicles, etc.). Considering Bethesda undercut FNV for Skyrim, the least they could do is redeem themselves by adding it back into F4.

2. Add simulations like Anchorage to give more insight into the pre-War insanity and espionage, maybe even something in Europe, or something the day of the War. For that matter, change the setting to New York. I'm surprised that The Big Apple was not Black Isle's first choice.

3. Make energy weapons they badass collectors items they truly are. Make them nigh-OP guns that are difficult to find, difficult to use, and incredibly rewarding to master. Also, more (and better) alien weapons. Find a better way to work them in than that godawful Mothership Zeta.

4. Multiple paths, multiple ending, playable after ending. Is it really too much to ask for? Vegas was the first game in the series to allow different paths, the good (NCR), the neutral (House) and the bad (Legion), and, although it was cool, you didn't know what became of the denizens of the Mojave. Factions must be mutually exclusive and have equal yet different bonuses (i.e., Legion give you a Strength point and allows you to command foot soldier like the NCR Radio, while siding with BoS gives you ten extra Energy Weapons points and a discount on Power Armor).

5. Fine tune Hardcore. There's a fine line between challenging yet fun and challenging and painful. Lessen ammo weights slightly, make more realistic sleep requirements (sleep at normal hours, length determines length of time until tiredness), make medicine weaker (Rad-x/Away, Jet, etc.). You're supposed to have the various counters barking at the back of your mind, not juggling them constantly at all hours. And make the "Survivalist" concept more integral in Casual.

6. 3 and Vegas may have picked most of the meat off of Van Buren's bones, but there is still some marrow left, namely the B.O.M.B.-001 and the whole Ulysses/New Plague thing. Use that, with all of the '50s science-fiction feature cheesiness. Like Old World Blues. Because, after all, that's what Fallout is all about. Perhaps something involving the oft-mentioned Commonwealth?

7. Make things less black and white. I nuked Megaton and proceeded to give gallons of water to Carlos, walking away with "Very Good". Structure the Karmic system to be more objective. IRL, using nuclear weapons on the innocent will not be redeemed by giving water to the drug-addled bum down the street. Let an asshole have his short-term rewards but make it difficult in the long run. If people hate you, make it apparent: pissed off the people in The Hub? Well water just got a Hell of a lot more expensive. Have good rep with Underworld? Get free Rad-X. Have guards in larger cities bully you, demand for bribes and whatnot, Oblivion-style.

9.It also must be more like 3. It must show how frightening post-Apocalyptia is. No coddling the player with little radiation and people living it up in cushy hotels with running water while properly armed military's duke it out. This is the apocalypse for fuck's sake! We want to see people killing each other for scraps and dirty urban homes. Caps must be hard to get, not from casinos that yields 45,000 if you clean them all out. And let the screaming brats be wasted after all this time, Pre-Bethesda did it with little fanfare, why can't we do it now? The sooner people today confront the sort of things like kids dying, the sooner things like censorship is lifted.

10. Alter gameplay mechanics. Repair should allow you to use scrap metal to fix weapons. Get rid of unique weapons, allow PC to name the Assault Rifle they've been using the whole game ("My Luck Assault Rifle"). Vastly expand weapon customization (i.e., Chinese-type Scope or American-type Scope, merge two pistols into a Duel-Wielded version, heavy barrel, etc.). Allow the PC to mark his/her housing to stop disappearing/NPC taking items or to allow CNPC's to return home like the Lucky 38 option. Allow the player to arm and supply his own caravan to supplement income. Structure the "dungeons" to be more Diablo-ish and have some unique boss at the end. Expand racial options but have a canonical human Vault Dweller.

11. For God's sake, release a finished Gamebryo game on day one, Bethesda. Oblivion, 3, Vegas, Skyrim--It's getting out of hand. And work on your graphics and characters who have three pivot points.

In short, make it more realistic, a bit harder but above all, more fun. I could be adding more as things come to mind. --Hammerhead18 17:09, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

DougAndHarvey's list

  1. A game set in the northern Midwest, possibly Minnesota. (The title, of course, would be Fallout 4: Nuclear Winter.)
  2. Making melee, unarmed, and explosives equally fun and viable combat styles would be nice, although melee and unarmed ought to be merged back into melee.
  3. A superior story. While the past two Fallouts did have stories I found interesting in an intellectual sense, I wasn't at all emotionally involved. When James died in F3, I didn't feel any sense of pain, only something along the lines of "Oh snap, my dad is dead. I guess things are serious now. Gotta get those Enclave guys."
  4. A larger world. The entirety of DC was walled off into small sections, and the NV map was downright small.
  5. Make SPECIAL matter more: one plays with nearly the exact same style with 1 STR or 10; the only real difference is how long it is before they have to fast travel to the nearest town and sell all their items.
  6. A legitimate crafting system. Playing Skyrim, I feel as though crafting is both understandable and making a legitimate difference to my gear and whatnot. Playing NV, I got none of that, and honestly, I can't even remember if there was any manner of crafting in 3.
  7. Really, I'd be happy with 3/NV in a new setting. Just saying.

Hroatslit's list

  1. Diverse creatures, its hard to believe that many species just got wiped off the planet, show me alligators, deer, snakes, birds, Killer Whales, bears, eels etc.
  2. You can't please everyone, stick to the same game mechanics, with better graphics and engine and you should be fine.
  3. A diverse map, a swampy area, forest area, snowy are, desert area etc. Not all, but enough to give it lengthy exploration.
  4. you shouldn't be able to be a super mutant, thats stupid, but too many rads should turn you into a ghoul, it would be like vampirism from TES, with bonuses and weaknesses
  5. Transportation, like the caravans in TES, but only to big cities
  6. underwater combat
  7. A TON of weapons, like even more than FNV, make some cool easy ones, but we should have to work for the really cool ones. Get creative, more weapons like the proton axes, shish kebab & Perferator
  8. custom armor and more schematics
  9. dual-wielding

HroatslitWishListHroatslit

Wish List

  1. Vehicles or some sort of transportation besides running everywhere
  2. More Impact - The idea of purchasing or investing in shops/caravans/establishments/ect. is a great concept. In stead of having a barren deserted town just totally abandoned forever, I'd like to be able to invest money, fix the place up, add shops and attractions to attract visitors and new residents to my own town. If its already established, the need to purchase it before upgrading it would be realistic unless, you're just investing in a privately owned shop. - Actions affecting the livelihood of others and the state of establishments.
  3. Better leveling, similar to The Elder Scrolls. I get better by doing things. If i level up purely from combat, adding skills to speech seams silly.
  4. Karma only gained when someone witnesses you do something. I'm tired of being hated for stealing a ton of crap while someone is sleeping and leaving undetected. Maybe even someone will begin a search for the stolen goods or at least ask around about it.
  5. I liked factions, I think they could be improved though. Id like to see them grow at least a little when you help them, or shrink maybe even go bankrupt if you're constantly killing them and stealing from them.
  6. Character Visually Improved - When I'm carrying 300lbs of garbage, a backpack stuffed full would be cool to see. When i have 5 items hotkeyed, seeing them all or just a couple holstered, not just the equipped one would be cool. - Tattoos, war paint, hair changes ect. - Gaining a scar or two when i survive unimaginably brutal punishment would be logical.
  7. Possibly destructible environment? Where you can destroy buildings and what not and if you blow a house to shit, it stays a pile of rubble until you pay someone to rebuild it.
  8. can start off in different countrys

I have thoroughly enjoyed both, Fallout 3 and NV but felt Fallout 3 was much better in the story and general feel of everything.

Ace's Wish list

  1. Dual wielding guns, like skyrim. One-Handed & Two-Handed guns.
  2. More realistic landscape
  3. Create more weapons & armor, like a forge or something
  4. better leveling, carry weight, damage rating, armor rating & money system kinda like skyrim
  5. CUSTOMIZATION!!!
  6. different races too
  7. . able to have more than 1 follower, & for animal follower, any animal, like the rad roaches, more than just dogs!
  8. It would be cool to see a vehicle of some sort instead of walking all the way somewhere.
  9. Magic maybe? why should it belong in the medieval times?
  10. Better story, why not a create-your-own story type of thing?
  11. Why not be able to buy houses in this too?
  12. Re-build towns & stuff to like a major civilization?
  13. NO KARMA!!!!!!!!!!! quests for getting people to follow you & why not have anyone be available for that?
  14. factions you can join.
  15. Better conditions of guns. & more an just 'Chinese Pistol' Why not real types of guns; Russian, American, Chinese, etc? Type 88 LMG, Mp7, etc.
  16. portals to different worlds or time periods. how cool would it be to go to somewhere like the medieval gun & kill them all with a rocket launcher or something?
  17. a war of some sort? like the Empire against the Litchets, with there leader being like Perter Litchet or something?
  18. Use an actual mic to talk to people & be able to say anything you want to them. Like go & say, Hey, I bet you 1000 caps i can beat you in a fist fight!
  19. be able to use BETTER unarmed crap like power slug, the gloves that add the extra OOMPH! or radiation gloves that poison the enemy to slowly kill them
  20. Be Able to do ANYTHING! start your own town, blow up someones house beyond repair, poison a water system, start a fire, re-grow a forest, stuff the lets you create your own realm!

Eddie's Wishlist

  1. Iwant to have factions but I want what I do to effect the faction so I do a job that makes a faction some friends I want to see that that makes a difference not just here's some caps and some EXP no I want my faction to be stronger.
  1. Transports would be cool say you make a motorcycle out of spare parts and adjust it to use power rods or scavenge for gas or have a Rad horse that I can put some of my extra gear on.
  1. I would love to be able to upgrade things whether it be my companion or my body I love unlockables and buyables and things I can work for to augment my gameplay and please bring back weapon mods.
  1. Trophies, Call me old fashioned but I love them. My house in Fallout 3 has my guns up for display and my Buttercup toys on my shelves and anything unique and anything special in the game I have in my house. Please bring back lots more trophies or anything that's unique or something that makes a joke about politics, because that's what I love in a game.
  1. I want the things I do to affect the world around me. I make a city powerful I want to see more trade caravans going to the city and more security and wealthier residents. The radio in Fallout 3 was a great way for me to recognize that I mean something to the wasteland, for example blowing up megaton doesn't just get leave megaton in ruins but the world responds to you differently I would love to see that enhanced dramatically.

jtm's wishlist

the wasteland should be Anchorage Alaska and they should have remnants of the war all over the place, and you can be a ghoul.

Anonymous Wishlist ___________________________

More cool stuff.

___________________________

Anonymous's Wishlist: I would like to play in the the Fallout verion of post-apocalyptic USSR, imagine Cherynobl being the "Safe-haven Main City", and instead of super mutants there are polar bear men/mutants, etc. There is more room for extra creativity when you remove the element that has been the most constricting: the setting. Sure the Fallout we have now has guidelines and history but with Fallout 4 you should be making new ground and establishing a new chunk of history to envelope us in. I want a chance to be a cosmonaught, or a chance to stop a second Great War, or to investigate new technology that wouldn't be in the American Fallout; anything is possible when you open your borders!

Badbomber9's wishlist

  1. KEEP IT IN AMERICA its centred around the idea of vaults, and they were built by Vault-Tech which was in america.
  2. Keep with the factions and reputation system of Fallout: New Vegas they worked perfect.
  3. Make a little more reference to Fallout 1 and 2, New Vegas gave it a shot, but maybe a few more here and there.
  4. Skill and Leveling system is great as it is.
  5. No need for vechiles. Its post-apcoplyse and most of the vechiles are even beyond repair, either rusted out over time or destoryed by the initial blasts.
  6. No need for marriage or that other stuff.
  7. If in California, allow to be able to go to the Hub, Shady Sands and even revisit Vault 13, event though it is most likely empty.
  8. More upgrades on weapons, one or two really didnt allow to much customisation.
  9. Keep VATS as it is, fantastic combat system.
  10. Due to the course of the multiple endings of New Vegas, maybe 4 (those being caeser's legion winning, NCR, Mr. House, or none and you win) different beingings that somewhat tie together but are different. OR just somehow tie them together like they did for Deus Ex.
  11. Bring back Boone!
  12. Allow a backstory of the world before the nuclear winter to be pieced to together through your travels (be a bit of fun to learn about).
  13. Trophies (adds something to aim for when the stories done or when your tied of quests)
  14. No more subway systems. Fallout 3 went over board, but it was fun at first just not the seventh or later on the tenth time you HAD to pass through them to get around D.C.
  15. Lastly, be sure to come up with some awesome DLC like Honest Hearts, Lonesome Road or Broken Steel and Operation Anchorage.

Marks Wishlist

  1. vehicles that you can drive
  2. Offline 2-4 play co-op
  3. Rad weapons (like ones that run off of radiation)
  4. higher level max (like instead of 25 make it like to 50)
  5. The seasons change
  6. Completely customization of weapons (like paint more weapon mods like sights and

extended mags)

  1. you should be able to play as a different race (like a ghoul or mutant some thing like that)
  2. One form of money (like the caps because NV money system was kinda of confusing)
  3. Easier to place items on or in cases and shelves like that
  4. And if you got the Xbox 360 Kinect w/ Sensor you should be able to say what u want instead of having a list
  5. Vehicles that you or enemye's can drive/steal/buy
  6. Spcial events e.g. brawl's that you get paid for doing
  7. More character customazation options
  8. More creatures e.g. Gouls combined with a mole rat!

Randel's wishlist

  1. new factions (group of ex military spy or highly ranked people that went rouge)
  2. more weapon attachments (but not too much)
  3. like N.V. different story line depending on who you join (maybe a little more then just the end of the game)
  4. have more distinct class perks (sniper: better accuracy, range, damage. Assault more health stimpacks do better, and carry more.)
  5. more help from companions maybe even hep during missions (medic, engineer, scientists)
  6. more dialog in between companions (better story line about there life like veronica)
  7. better homes and maybe set up bases (nothen too special) and they can get attacked by animals
  8. start your own little faction and have an army train them how you want (snipers medics, guards) and bring a squad (3 others 4 including you) of people

Jeremiah's wishlist

  1. More fractions would be amazing. You could be a part of the good ones or the bad ones and after a while, eliminate your opponents, but still find small random groups of those fractions.
  2. Large map, fallout 3 size at least. Fallout NV was way to small. Felt like no exploring could be done.
  3. Cars, motercycles, planes and boats. Just more way of transportation other than walking. Sprint would be another thing to add.
  4. More weapons and like fallout 3, the big guns, small guns and energy weapons. Tactical equipment, like flash bangs or smoke bombs, so you can add more sneaking and stealth to your tactics.
  5. Big main quest line that would lead you to people, who to gain their trust, have to do a side quest or something similar.
  6. Level up system like Skyrim, but when you make a level you can add point to skills and choose a perk. A perk every level like fallout 3, and a bigger level cap. Not getting all the perks was a pain.
  7. Implants like NV, but cyborg thinks like unlimited sprint (if added) for cyborg legs, better precition and more V.A.T.S. points for cyborg eye ect.
  8. More upgrades for weapons, and no repair skill required for repairing weapons. Or have it be a perk after you get level 50 for repair.
  9. Being able to set up a group, or create your own fraction. Depending on what kind of karma and skills would change how you group would be. Only people with roughly the same skills and karma would join. Eventually dominate wastelands if you want.
  10. More of a autosave. One every like 5 minutes. I hate losing all my progress when I die.

XDXD's Wishlist

  1. Factions with plenty of quest options.
  2. 2player co op
  3. More reactive enemy Npcs
  4. more tactical combat
  5. One Metropolis a completely untouched or rebuild city full of npcs
  6. Craftable weapons
  7. Some pre war technology luxuries back in some cities at the cost of suffering
  8. An insane level hardcore mode and a normal one
  9. Hardest difficulty even harder

1 level up system like skyrim

  1. Random random encounters
  2. unique random encounters
  3. more media references
  4. companions need to be more story related
  5. better dialogue mode
  6. Hopefully it doesnt use like 6 voice actors
  7. more outlandish weapons
  8. huge battle quests
  9. quests that utilize player's highest skills

Anonymous

  1. choosing perks every level instead of FO:NV's perk rate
  2. time triggered auto save option
  3. better quality

Anonymous

  1. Keep the game in America. Other countries would be interesting but it wouldn't suit Fallout's 50s Nostalgic Americana style.
  2. Other story-lines along side the main story. Like Skyrim's Companions/Dark Brotherhood etc.
  3. More in depth NPCs. Three Dog, Elder Lyons, President J.H.E. Each of these characters seemed completely unique... But Moira Brown's voice is used all over the place. Simply more voice actors
  4. Multiple autosave files like Skyrim
  5. Easter Eggs and References to previous Fallout games or other movies etc... They are always a fun thing to have in games.
  6. Do not dramatically change the game engine. Improve graphics, audio etc, but do not change the gameplay style, or we will loose the "Fallout feel" and it will become more like an FPS rather than a FPR

Anonymous

I agree with better graphics, vehicles, co-op, better customization and all that good stuff but what would REALLY be cool...destrictible environment like collapsing buildings and destroying enemy's cover, but things get rebuilt after a while

greater weapon customization and even building, customizing armor as well, look at all the junk lying around you make some sick armour with it all

--Oznog 20:27, January 22, 2012 (UTC) I'd really like weapons and especially the mods to have esoteric handling characteristics. I know there are difficulties in making them equivalent in cross-platform production, but I really want it.

That is, say when you move a weapon quickly, the crosshair is slow to get moving and overshoots when you stop, because it's front-heavy and hard to stabilize. Made worse when you give it a mod that gives it a super-large barrel. It's still accurate when not moving, it's "difficult" to use properly while moving but with practice you CAN become genuinely skilled at it personally, as opposed to a simple "spread" penalty that cannot be improved with player's actual gameplay fu. Holding an excessively heavy weapon up for a prolonged period with a low Strength attribute would start to make it wobble around.

There are plenty of people in the industry who have dismissed esoteric controls as dead-ends- I think they underestimate Fallout fans.

It's gotta have better planning to avoid the pitfalls of open-sandbox, what Yahtzee termed "Owning a controlling interest in the universe", where once you get "over the curve" you rapidly become god-like and money becomes irrelevant because there's ways to make ridiculous amounts of it with no effort at all.

I could use some complexity to the barter system. Why do NCR people even take Legion money? Why do the peaceful Follower medical guys buy my guns? And why does anyone buy in unlimited quantity at the same price? What if some factions won't accept currency of others, and there's merchants who will exchange limited quantities of currency, but at a loss. This is actually helpful in avoiding the "now I'm a god" effect as you can get super-rich in pesos but realize you need to earn some local currency all over again if you wanna buy local weapons.

GET RID OF STOCK LINES AND MOVE AWAY FROM COMMON VOICE STANDARDS. Skyrim's poisoned by this. Let voice actors ad-lib their characters, as in the direction to the talent is just "the player just decided to shoot at you. Respond!" Do some crowd-sourcing and bring in outsiders to write and voice characters. The "theatrical quality" of a "big voice" isn't as important as you think, in fact, it's detracting. As long as it's not "forced" delivery and professionally recorded, not having a smooth tonal quality and rich bass delivery is actually just swell.

The Googie aesthetics and 50's-70's pulp artwork, and every-man-for-himself, largely-unexplored, lack-of-authority made FO3 outstanding. For me, FNV's cowboy-desert aesthetics were not as fantastic, and NCR being an authority kinda dampened the establishment of a "limitless opportunity" setting. Not the same kind of gritty, either. I could see a retro-futuristic setting starting from the 60's or 70's though.

Character AIs need more sophistication, taking cover, zig-zagging, coordinating with multiple attackers. It's just very easy to beat characters which basically just line up to be shot. Generally, characters should take cover when you're facing them, send someone around to attack you from behind, when that happens, the others rush in when you turn around.

Better overall game architecture to move people away from playing by Save-Scumming (quicksave, engage in Speech check, if it fails, quickload and try again...)

you should put ghillie suits in the game. you should also allow sprinting. The kids wishlist.

maybe a nice assasens guild like the dark brother hood from elder scrolls and of course blowing stuff up is all was fun =D BOOM

also if we can find out more about the war what happen to the other country's around the world maybe have some Russia exploring whats left of the us

co-op !!! -ninyall

milog05's 05 request

  1. the lone wanderer and the courier met and they had a child so the stories are connected.(cause people complain about the stories are not connected
  2. .the player can go to fallout NV and 3 's location
  3. .you can get married and have children
  4. .DLC he/she can go back in time and he was 10 years old and he/she gets kidnapped
  5. .the three endings are he can
  • Gets to be the president of the place where he is
  • Gets to Kill All the People in the three factions and gets to live alone.optional with wife and kids
  • Needs to obey the President and be a slave for the rest of his life

my wishlist for fallout 4 1) weapons like an AK-47 or an UZI or some type of REAL weapon because a 10mm pistol looks like a nerf gun! 2) you get to chose the wasteland you want to be in like china, russia or canada 3) you start the game with a M16

  1. MULTIPLAYER
  2. NO MORE ESSENTIAL CHARACTERS!!!!!!(unless they are a companion)
  3. acctual future pre-war not tht 50's crap
  4. you can choose the game sport. (at the beginning you can choose to have a hockey rink, football stadium, basketball arena etc.) in the zone you start off in.
  5. you can drink FEV and become a super mutant
  6. you get to design your OWN brotherhood or military.
  7. instead of a crappy shack like "my megaton house" you get to live in a mansion after completing the main questline.

_

  1. vehicles. Like customizable dune buggies, humvies, ute's,motorbikes and deathclaws all sound good to me but old, worn and slow nothing that would be too game wrecking.
  2. replace vats. Vats I think is an annoying system which seems to unrealistic even for fallout it should be replaced by a slowed time pick your shots thing like red dead redemptions dead eye I can just imagine hand to hand with this would be awesome.
  3. More deadly bullets and melee. Was it just me who hated how in fallout 3 an nv you could shoot a raider in the head about 9 times before he died and for all the shots he didn't react unless he was crippled.
  4. more interacting with inviornments. Just vaulting over objects jumping up and pulling yourself over stuff. Able to see legs.
  5. better animations and online and offline co-op also skyrim shield duel wielding finishing moves and shield stuff.

Thehippy7's Wishlist:

Make it in Canada with a faction called the Mounties. Or make it in Europe. More Enclave, West Coast of Canada, the Commonwealth, More Brotherhood, etc.

Redd17 Wishlist:

How bout an option to recruit a full-time sidekick after some level or achievement? and the opportunity to set up the sidekick's gear and weapons. This would need to include some tactics options that you might select from the VATS???? And of course some sidekicks would have those sassy resisting personality types for some tasks/encounters/challenges. Some of Your character's traits that you invest in would make a difference here as well.

Fallout IV “Must Haves” For Credibility And Success

Anonymous wish list:

there could be like 3 races or ways to play like skyrims mage, warrior, or thief, but instead of those you can have ghoul, human, or super mutants. Ghoul could have radiation regeneration, super mutant could have natural armor or damage resistance, and humans could have some starting perk. i like the skill progression in the old fallouts, because in oblivion and skyrim i had to sneak through every dungeon to raise my sneak. Actually maybe the humans could be evolved or created some high tech technology that gives psychic powers to the humans (so the humans could be the equivalent of mages in skyrim). some examples could be telekinesis(high level psychics can pick up even multiple enemies), choke, ignite, paralyze, shock, heal, control minds of most things, disarm, fury, fear, calm, suicide bomb (sacrifice half your health to deal 300 damage to most around you, for high level psychics: control weather like lightning, tornadoes, and earthquakes, etc. As you can see lots of possibilities, like we could eliminate VATS and use AP as stamina for Super mutants (warriors) or as psychic limit. Later in the game they could create their own psychic powers at a machine or something. Ghouls could have stealth bonuses and super mutants can have some warrior bonuses like big guns, melee (unarmed and melee weapons should come together), and power armor (we should start with power armor and have be like the heavy armor of oblivion and same with light armor).

Anonymous wish list:

1. instead of different races how about different factions you can be born into like for example

  1. being born in the Enclave
  2. being born in the brotherhood of steel
  3. being born in the NCR
  4. being born in the ceacers legion and so on and so on

2. also if you are putting in vehicles make parts of the map a vehicle based parts
3. if multiplayer is a option make it 1-5 players give a little realism not to much and give it LOTS of things to do to prevent boredom plus make it fun and entertaining for everybody

Jooshmond's very short wishlist

The only thing that I would want is the ability to run/own a town. It'd be cool if you could add/upgrade buildings or other things. Occasions where you'd need to defend your town would be nice too. Ability to add more people with different jobs and stuff.

romhim's wishlist

More races, pets, perks, etc. And a vehcile like a atv or go-cart.Also more dlc and a higher level cap.Or some more weapons like what the fallout 3 or fnv gave you in thier dlc's gave you and more relation to the courior and the lonesome wanderer.Have more enviorment like season change or more friendly animals that will NOTKILL YOU ON SHIGHT.And also a bigger map and the game should be more creative.Like the year is 2487 and the world have seasons animals roaming and there is a wheather climate but war still wages all around and there is a weak but growing culture you are born in and fix it up as you progess thourgh the game.More factions and the ablitiy to make a faction, and recuits come to join depending on your karma.Alsoyou can get marryied and have kids and have a dog, cat, deathclaw, radroach, robot servents, etc.And you can have a good house, mansion, shack, cabin, etc.And you can upgrade you house and robot.

Derian's Wish List:

  1. What made Fallout 3, a thousand times better than New Vegas was the desolate feeling that surrounded you, I don't want to run into a friendly NPC every other minute.
  2. Expansive dungeons, all we got in New Vegas was a bunch of one-room shacks. Sure, they had good loot, but you didn't have to work for it.
  3. Stick to Karma or Reputation, preferably Karma.
  4. Schematics - I want a use for all the miscellaneous items in the Wastelands
  5. Weapons - Good variety, you don't need a lot but just a good amount (200-300 should be fine), they should be innovative, make them look like they're made from scavenged parts and those made from scavenged parts should be able to be made at workbenches.
  6. Less is More - A lot of the chems released on New Vegas felt unnecessary (Cat Eye could be replaced with Night Vision Goggles)
  7. Varying landscapes, Fallout 3 had more houses in its landscape but New Vegas felt like it was mostly sand, incorporate different landscapes like swamps and such.
  8. Choose a good location, it's everything. Choose a famous city that's iconic with landmarks that everyone could recognize, that's why D.C was an awesome choice for Fallout 3.
  9. Cars/transports aren't really necessary that's just people wanting too much. Fast-travel is good, but there should be a button to take you directly to your house. It was tedious to walk into the Strip then into the Lucky 38 and then into the elevator to get into your suite.
  10. Less Quests - I prefer less short but good and lengthy quests than the short fetch-this or that and get paid quests.
  11. Have a DLC like Broken Steel that expands on the ending and doesn't just leave it off in a random place.
  12. Variety of enemies.

Anonymous

  1. It needs more means of transportation only being able to walk or fast travel if i may suggest maybe sprinting ot other means such as a new vehical you can make as a quest?
  2. The story line is in my oppion quite small although there are many many quests i think that the main ones should be a little longer.
  3. It could use much more weapons different ammo and mods the basic Hollow Point and armor pierceing.
  4. More companions and the ability to have more than just one person companion and a pet.
  5. Also seeings how i have see many cool companions made by fans such as baby deathclaws that you can grow and also a mission where you save an alien that was captured and learned to speak that you can get as a companion.
  6. Ive always wanted it to be more than just a single player game as well i dont it a massive multiplayer but atleast a 2player over the system or possible online?
  7. More Healing and effect bonus drugs and possible implants.
  8. Also can you possibly make it so that after you beat the main storyline the game does not end and you can continue playing.
  9. Can you also put into the game that you can be more than one single character as in human but maybe a ghoul or a type of super mutant or nightkin.
  10. Ability to level up alot higher and much more perks and bonus's
  11. More immpresive dialogues and black sense of humor.
  12. Hardcore mode, like Fallout: New Vegas.
  13. Say the new big bad comes in (or even just Super Mutants) destroys a town, and YOU get to rebuild it with your Companions.
  14. Maybe a bonus 1 companion? So it could be like 2 humanoids and your faithful dog companion/enclave eyebot?
  15. More "craftable" stuff
  16. Laws on only CERTAIN places. Since the US wasteland is completeley "law-less" maybe there could only be laws on places under command of a new breed of NCR or something trying to start their own government.
  17. Better graphics, if possible better than SKYRIM.
  18. Fallout is suppose to happen in the future so cybernetic tech should be available. Also giving us more race choices would be nice. Adding vehicles like a dune buggy, quad, dirt bike, or other atvs would be a nice change, maybe even let us ride some sort of mutated horse. As far as the story line goes, I was impressed by the story line of Fallout 3, but New Vegas, I wasn't as impressed by. Maybe Fallout 4 should have more of a history lesson on what caused the world to wind up the way it has (for those of us that haven't played the first 2 Fallouts). It'd also be nice to see how the rest of the world is doing. Maybe use the DLC to travel to different countries? I think that's all I got for now.
  19. Slower ghouls that look more undead and relate to classic zombies, and can only be killed by a shot to the head.
  20. NO JOHNY GUITAR!

Stoner Hate's Wishlist

PLAY AFTER FINISHING THE GAME DONT KNOW IF IT WORKED FOR FALLOUT # NEVER GOT TO FINISH IT BUT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PLAY AFTER FINISHING MAIN THINGY

liambobjobs wishlist

Personally I would like Bethesda to bring in a feel of a first person shooter were things don't seem superhuman at least human enemies shouldn't.

1.vehicles and rideable animals but should be extremely rare.

2.popular fps mechanics lying down, running and aiming down sights.

3.fallout 3 looking game with skyrim graphics would be good. fallout new Vegas looked bad compared to fallout 3.

4.expanded makeshift weapon crafting and customization.

5.^^slower more zombie like ghouls^^.

6.^^RDR style vats^^.

7.build a town.

8.FOUR PLAYER LOCAL AND ONLINE CO-OP SO TIME ISN'T WASTED ON MULTIPLAYER.

9.MORE GUNS AND AIM FOR A GUN MODDING SYSTEM AS COOL LOOKING AS GUN DISASSEMBLY 2.

10.More interesting characters with funny dialogue like when joe of mafia 2 started telling me his pick up lines.

11.akimboing weapons it doesn't neccesaraly have to be powerful just look cool. Able to duel wield anything with enough strength.

12.Customisable companions that will act as split screen players in co-op.

13.ALASKA there must be vaults there plus there's auroras and proper snowy nuclear winters

14.mutated catfish and more other mutated creatures

15.ability to decorate my home with nuka cola stuff and 4 characters that resemble the A Team

16.improve the degrading system by adding cleaning to maintain and sing scrap parts to repair to quality. Having a clean gun would also slow how fast it degrades.

17.A wider variety of companions and up to 3 so I can be the A TEAM.

OvaltinePatrol's List

1. Go back to the Wolrd Map arrangement of Fallout and Fallout 2. I'm not particularly interested in seeing every last inch of the wasteland personally, and not being able to see it all lets you fudge things a little. In Fallout 1, the first time you enter The Hub, the description box tells you that there's all kinds of farms surrounding the oasis; cool now I know how this place sustains itself even if I can't rummage around every last farmer's shack. By contrast, Fallout 3 had "towns" like Arefu and Cantebury Commons that demonstrated no reasonable way the people could survive, especially considering they hadn't looted anything nearby in the last 200 years.

2. Start divorcing aliens from the series. Yes, I know they're a staple of 1950s science fiction; but Mothership Zeta came dangerously close to suggesting that aliens were the ultimate cause of the Great War. If the setting loses the tragedy of human folly in favor of alien shenanigans, I think the series will be worse off for it.

3. Ramp up the mythic elements. New Vegas and the DLCs inserted a sort of mythic feel that the previous games didn't have (other than some tribal touches in Fallout 2): Caesar, Lanius, Father Elijah, Joshua Graham, and Ulysses carried most of the weight in this regard. Make symbols more important, let the people of the wasteland lose touch with the specifics of history, let technology become mysterious. I don't want to destroy the Brotherhood, Followers, or the NCR to accomplish this, but let future games take place in virgin territory without these educated folks telling them what's what.

4. Give us the opportunity to not be the bitch. I get that when we're weak and ignorant, it can be helpful to carry some NPC's water to get what we need. But eventually, I want to call the shots. I want to be able to set my own agenda for whatever part of the wasteland the next game takes place in. I want to be able to get my ducks in a row and be the ultimate mastermind or blunder my way through things and watch all my dreams tumble like a house of cards; and I want to see the consequences of either fully realized.

5. Let us create something. Van Buren was going to let us rebuild Fort Abandon and get the trains working around the region, I want to do something like that, or build my own caravan empire, or assemble the most hardcore band of raiders or slavers the wasteland has ever seen.

6. More mutants that don't necessarily want to kill me. Ghouls and Supermutants (and Nightkin) strike me as dying breeds, I want more distinct mutants to interact with. There's Ghost People and Marked Men, but they're just crazed killers. --OvaltinePatrol 09:32, January 31, 2012 (UTC)

Wastelander8's Wishlist

1. Enstead of races like others have said, how about you can start off as being born into one of the major factions. Each faction could have some kind of bonus that the others don't. 2. I would really like to see drivable vehicles. Nothing to extravigant, but something like a dunebuggy or four-wheeler. Then costumize your vehicle to a degree. again nothing like rockets or nos, but spikes or plows and armor. 3. The option to have a job that actually has an impact. like trading caravan owner or bartender. 4. Enstead of a house have a customizeable base that can actually be attacked. 5. New creatures. Maybe military created creatures. Some that only hunt at night or in daylight. 6. Much larger map, with different environments. 7. The ability to invest and build a town up from the ground. having to take defence and offence into account. 8. Have some playable sport in some of the towns. 9. Some of the towns should have some kind of law enforcement. And you should be able to be the leader of some of the towns. 10. Have new weapons that are more apocalyptic and basic like a club made out of a bike gear and a piece of wood. Then have a new specialization called Tribal 11. You should have to clean your weapon and if you don't then the firearm should jam. Plus way more customization options for weapons. you should be able to name your weapon if you get so many kills with it. 12. I would like to see a form of gladiator fighting. and people can bet on who will win. 13. Have more clothing, like you have to get boots pants shirt glove and hat/helmet. 14. Have your character have a backpack to carry all your stuff in. And have different clothing accessories that will increase carrying capacity. 15. Have different bullet loads like have black powder in your bullets if you cant find gunpowder. 16. Have the Hardcore mode even more indepth with having to use aquapure tabs to purify your water and have to collect wood to make you fire, etc. 17. Be able to pick up your thrown weapons. 18. dual wield with a penalty to accuracy and not be able to use iron sights. 19. Have tools like grapling hooks and lighters. 20. KEEP IT IN THE UNITED STATES! 21. Some weapons you should be able to swing and throw. 22. Have more vaults and Military bases and bunkers. 23. Some major history on the great war. 24. Continue playing after you have beaten the game. 25. Be able to have more than 1 companion maybe get a gang together. 26. Marriage. 27 more character costomization like height and build. 28. I would love to see a split screen or online 1-2 player option

Reg Gex List:

1. You can´t please everyone, make logical incorporations, not stupid ones. Choose wisely. 2. I say you start with a Human always, and may became a ghoul permanently (with possibility of cure) if irradiated too much. 3. I like the desertic feel of Fallout 3. Don´t just spawn stuff all over the map like New Vegas. Yes, it adds gameplay possibility but it takes away the post-apocaliptic feel. This means, no casinos or really neat places like in New Vegas. 4. There are other countries apart from the US... 5. Your character look should be affected by your equipment even more. 6. The weight system is flawed. 300 pounds of equipment and i just walk. Maybe add stamina? Or maybe allow the purchase of backpacks? 7. More weapons does not mean more bigger and stronger ones. It means variety. Different kinds of knifes, pistols. But i want BALANCE. Don´t OVERPOWER some, without giving them huge disadvantages like reload time, and weight. You kinda missed this in F3. 8. I could keep up all day but i guess i gave my part.

gerbill13 list 1 paly as a child. i want a bad ass kid with an ak/47

2 how about the a customisable sidekick?

3 you can start a faction.

Quw10 wish list 1. Vehicles, not so much a tank but maybe an apc and deffinatly a vertbird.

2. Return of liberty prime, thought it was stupid that he didnt get his own slide in the eending credits.

3. Ranking system. If i join the brother hood of steel i want to be able to get promotions, maybe even become an elder.

4. New variety of power armor, keep the T51b and the T45d but make a bit of variety like maybe a heavy duty exosuit with some mini guns like a silverback, or even better a stealth version. make it like iron man where theres a different suit for different situations.

5. New model of the pip boy, or better yet different models. Maybe have them do different things, and deffinatly a model that is like a pda or is part of a power armor system so it doesnt mess up the armor like it does in fallout 3 and new vegas.

6. Limited space travel. MAde me mad when mothership zeta came out and you beat the level and all you could do is use it as a house.

7. Robot repair. If i blow up a robot or find a ruined one id like to repair it and make it a companion or a body guard that doesnt count towards my companion count. make it so you have to be certain levels to work on certain robots.

8.More companions. I dont like being able to only have so few companions and restricted to one human and one robot. at the most 5 companions and be able to choose what all you want to have.

9. Base camps, be able to create camp sites and place basic defensive structures like turrets and barricades. Cant say how many times ive wished i could make a base camp so i didnt have to go all the way back to my house or even make it so if i go into a building and leave a companion with a barricade and a turret in case of an ambush.

10. Companion commands, tired of companions getting in the way and just do what they want. Instead be able to command them to clear a room, or breach a door, even flank an enemy or pick a lock and hack a computer.

11. Interactive responses from cpus, like if im wearing power armor and carrying a big gun and my companions are the same it affects what a cpu says to me, not just a faction thing or random comments.

12. Destructive environments, not red faction destructive but if i shoot a wall with a missile launcher or shoot a door with a shotgun it damages. Id love to be able to door breaching and use the environment to help me kill an enemy. like make a ceiling collapse on a guy.

13. More realistic physics, if i it a guy with a super sledge in the face i want it to look like hes getting hit in the face with a hammer. not to worried about what happens to a guy getting shot but maybe make it a bit more realistict. I understand that shooting a guy with a 9mm doesnt kill a guy in one hit like it should because that would make things to easy but if you shoot a guy with a fifty caliber and he survives than thats not right. I mean seriously have you ever seen what a bullet that size can do to a person? there isnt a bullet resistant vest in the world that could save a persons life from a bullet that big, maybe stop a bullet but the force of impact would kill them still.

14.Dual weilding. enough said.

Suicidepig's Wishlist:
1. Going prone (Crawling)- for sniping ( small change but i would love it)
2. More attachments and maybe more than one option for each eg different attachments for same weapon (maybe some like scopes on rifles while other want a Red dot, Maybe foregrips or Grenade launcher to suit your playthrough
3. Bipods? (Set them up for easier sniping or less recoil on LMG'S,AR's.
4. More smg's and maybe some real weapons like the thompson and m1 garand from NV as well as others,
5. You should be able to mark a house as your's so you can place items in empty houses without them dissapearing
6. Bought houses could come with racks (like in Skyrim) to store weapons and shelves for books and trophies
7. I liked the idea of being able to invest in caravans and shops or rent out houses (like in fable).
8. More body armor maybe bulletproof vests and helmets (more realistic military ones like joshua grahams in honest hearts)
9. Maybe Different camo's for weapons?
10. More explosives and make mines more useful somehow as enemies dont tend to walk into them very often.
11. i like the idea of vehicles like in FO2 but that might be hard to implement so maybe it could be just a fast travel device that appears outside town and you can store things in like in fo2
12. make it harder to gain wealth, maybe less weapons around somehow
13. weapon condition could cause jamming and you should see the weapon rust ( i Know stolen from farcry2 but come on i dont think they own a copyright to weapons rusting, maybe different brands of ammo and more types of bullet
14. definitely keep the idea of bullet making from parts but expand on it ( you choose how much powder to put in ?) so you could make more powerful bullets but it will cost more powder and may wear down weapon more.
-15. More sniper rifles and assault rifles (just more all weapons types).
Make me seriously work for unique weapons but make them worth it
-16. (overall MAKE IT HARDER) NV seemed way to easy even on Very hard it was easy to get best weapons and destroy everything Also make it more rewarding to play on higher difficulty + Hardcore mode should be refined .and it should retain this hardness throughout and not get easier
17. More random encounters
18. I know this one is hard but less loading screen maybe some houses could have doors that just open and aern't (hyperlinks).
19. Maybe reduce loading times ( it might be my opinion but i could care less about better graphics ).
20. Bring back the enclave and give the AI some vehicles like in FO3.
21. More BOS (Brotherhood of steel :)
22. stealth takedown's ( we all love slitting someones throat ) :)
23. more armour ( Im sick of power armour i know its almost a symbol of fallout but its boring ) give me some different stuff.
24. I would also like to see more weapons holstered (i think someone else mentioned that) like a rifle on back and pistol on hip at same time maybe even if its just for show and you still need to equip them. maybe left Dpad (im Xbox player) brings up pistol and right rifle for fast weapon change
25. I know this is only cosmetic but rifles should have slings and pistols holster's etc. cos right now they just hang about an inch off your back (depending what armour).
26. definitely more shotguns! ( nothing beats firing a slug into a guy's leg and watching it fly behind him)
27. also shooting off limps may not kill and they'll crawl with no legs or shoot rifle with one arm or just scream in pain :).
28. Better AI e.g. More negotiating with bandits or slavers ( maybe even become slaver or ranger and go on missions like in fo2. )
29. Karma should only change if the act is witnessed e.g. Theft.
30. Maybe Bow's and arrows or crossbows (they'r still used nowadays so i dont see why not.
31. Add Physics to the game e.g. Bullet drop and wind and maybe make a weather system with rain, snow
32. Make it in or near a big city like fo3 in my opinion NV was missing the greyness and compactness of cities as it was all just a bit open.
33. get jobs in factions e.g. lead a strike team, become a paladin and make it actually worth something like maybe you could call in vertibird airstrikes or call in soldiers to help you, maybe you have to pay for them?

CCrogers15`s cool wishlist

1. Stable gameplay. Do NOT release until all lags and crashes are fixed. 2. Better monsters. I want mutated:

File:220px-Scutigera coleoptrata.jpg

3. Better add ons. Add ons:

   - An add on to explore the life in another country
   - A huge add on that takes place inside a vault

4. Add ons must raise the cap by 5. 5. Add ons must let you bring companions along 6. The game must let us play after the end. 7. No more hardcore mode. (or at least make it not a required trophy for platinum) 8. Lots of quests. 9. Better character creation. 10. Custom soundtracks. 11. Drivable cars or planes. (come on, i seen planes like the boomers plane fully intact, or the vertiberds...) 12. Better companions. They need to be like this:

    - Friendly Deathclaw (Long time wanted)
    - 3 Females
    - 3 Males
    - 2 Dogs ( cyber or real )
    - None of them can die
    - Can recruit up to 3 at a time.

Some other things to consider: 1.) Destructible environments 2.) Banks or other locations where you can exchange/interchange/cash-in different faction currencies. 3.) Having VATS be more tactical- for example: Adding a time limit for how long you can be inside VATS, or having reality be slowed down, instead of completely frozen. 4.) Sprinting, rolling, climbing- more interaction with your environment. 5.) Aquatic enemies- to make waterways a riskier choice 6.)[related to five] water-compatible weapons to combat underwater enemies: Such as- spear guns, aquatic knives, maybe even nets or depth charges. 7.) More tactical equipment: Such as- hold-able flashlights, flares, deploy-able traps, artillery strikes, knapsacks, jars (for collecting items), even controllable robots or small UAVs. 8.) Under barrel attachments for two-handed rifle weapons: Such as: 40mm/25mm launchers, flamer, incinerator, plasma caster, flashlight, chainsaw, 12 gauge/20 gauge shotguns, Gatling laser, Tesla cannon. All using corresponding ammunition. 9.) Weapon camo 10.) Modifications compatible with more than on weapon, (i.e.: long or short range scopes) 11.)(A must) Dual wielding weapons and equipment- just imagine the raw, unrivaled beauty of sprinting towards a charging deathclaw with Maria in your left hand and the Mysterious magnum in your right! Some ideas: 10mm smg to 10mm smg 9mm pistol to flashlight .45 auto pistol to combat knife 12.7 pistol to mantis gauntlet the combinations are endless! Just add a strength and accuracy penalty accordingly to each weapon- to not make dual wielding TOO powerful.

mxobb124's Wish list -

1)Choose from a selection of different races, like super mutant, goul, human.

2)Be able to buy more than one house, in different locations without having to earn them by doing quests.

3)Have the choice to join many different factions like BoS, The Enclave, and others

4)Have seasons - Winter, Spring, Summer, Autuam

5)The ability to sprint

6)A much larger map, maybe the size of Skyrim.

7)Main enemies, like Super Mutant Behemoths in Fallout 3, and Dragons in Skyrim.

8)Be able to ride on brahin or hire someone to take you to some place you have not been before (for caps of course).

9)Have it set in somewhere like Scotland.

10)Be able to carry on after the main quest.

11)Be able to become the leader of a town and have wars with other towns.

12)The choice of at least 25 companions, and a variety.

13)Different races like or dislike you depending if your ghoul, super mutant, or human.

14)Humans are not the most regular race.

15)Be able to join mini factions and get a perk and reward after completing the quest for them.

Thetford's wishlist:

1) more variety, I'm sick of the same potato sacked settlers in every town, and every raider being some sort of 80s punk rocker.

2) More varied apparal (though less potato sacks and punk attire), but perhaps a mix and match system, with a base outfit (including all your pre war and military attire), shoes (different shoes giving different bonuses, athletic shoes allow faster movement, combat boots for defence, and heels for a kicking bonus), headwear, coats (for colder environments) and armour (ranging from tying a baking tray around the neck as a bulletproof shield to Kevlar vests and power armour components.

3) varied locales, everything looks like it was made with a tileset tool, the same hallways, buildings, shacks and décor, as well as some strange choices for doors, fancy pre war buildings at times look like industrial municipal buildings, when you rescue Riley's Rangers, the hospital looks too much like the hotel across the road. I like the suburban houses, but they are all the same two storey abodes with a double floor sitting room (with separate windows for each floor of said room), with a bathroom with medical supplies, a kitchen/nook with cooking utensils. I'm thinking at least a few more designs and layouts.

Rabbit's Wishlist 1 larger playable area i am tired of these tiny battle feilds that can only expand (temporaily) by buying DLC's i want to explore and not just for a week i want to be surpised when i turn on my xbox.

2 i want to actually join a faction in FNV some NCR trooper would always come up to me and say "If you were enlisd be have way to genral by now." and id always be like bitch im workin on it. not just like three were its like hipp hip horay your a paladin heres a couple missions you can do whenever you feel like it. i want constant orders and soliders under my command.

3 im not the first to say this and i won't be the last VEHICLES! i dont care if its a fully armed vertibird or a weelbarrel pulled by rad roaches walking gets boring as heck i dont care what wacky mission i have to do to abtain it i'll do it .

4. make a buisness. there have been tons of times when ive wanted to set up a mecenary team and take on what ever the wstelands need me and my team to do. or invest into a caravan and let caps roll in. or even just be a humble bar teno fend of drunks on the weekend s while tackling quest all week. 5. decent walking speeds, im tired of switching to 3rd person and seeing my guy running through a casino like a crzy man it cant be that haard to make walking not such a laborous and in efficeint action can it?

Being able to change the look of your gun beyond just some things like scopes and HD recivers i want colors rails fore grips grenade launchers.also i want to be able to remove a attachment if i dont like it. also i miss being able to construct weapons like the rail; gun and shiskabe.

7. whats so wrong with dead kids if i want to make a crazy killer it kinda takes away the realism when i destory there town and these little brats are running around impervois to my super weapons. i mean its an apoclyspe people it should be a no holds bar fight were no one is gunna step in from an outside faction anyou fight for every scrpae of food and bottle cap. 8. importated chracters instead of mcreate my 3 chrater in FNV why not just have him walk his cherry self over there and resume the unstoppable Boss o that he became in the past game.

9. finally i wnat a resone to save the snew world from the enclave or Ceasars legion make me r megaton and New vegas. just all in all minor changes and i would never want to stop playing these already very creative games.

MY FALLOUT 4 WISHLIST

1.Add vehicles a lot of people have asked this and it would be good to hotwire a car or something or rather and also with vehicls be able to upgrade them so you can put a minigun on top or a missle launcher that way you can ACTUALY make use of scrap metal and miscelanious parts.

2.Co-op has been asked and asked and asked but for once can you actually listen to the community for once i mean come on isnt it the gamer who decides whats fun in a game and what isnt? and besides it would be awesome! to like raid a super-duper mart or take on deathclaws together? that would be awesome and make the game drastically better.

3.The ability to own a shop or a town for example and even work in a bar or be a bouncer[long term] cause the most normal job i have gotten so far is delivering a fricken letter for Lucy West and that turned into a huge blimin find her brother quest i just wanted my caps and be done.

4.To be able to make factions THAT would be cool i mean you know you could get some spray paint and paint your simbol on your armour or your vetibirds, cars and heaps of other things.

5.To be able to be a ghoul, robot or a super mutant! i mean a super mutant and a robot wouldnt be the best but a lot of people have wanted to be a goul! i mean that would be just awsome like after being exposed to over 900rads and a while without treatmeant the change would start to slowly start and at that point there is no going back that would be awesome.

And that concludes my fallout 4 wishlist please listen to the people!

Sec-19 wishlist

A different engine and graphics, while still keeping the core mechanics of gameplay.

A FUCKHUGE wasteland, with the option of getting a car. But you'd have to maintain that bitch yourself and if you cant you have to hire someone. And that shit costs an arm and a leg.

Cybernetic and bionic augmentations- visible ones that have a benefit and a disadvantage. Like increases your aiming skill while decreasing you're charisma.

Thats all I can really think of. I agree with alot of people here about their idea's as well.

Serpentaxy400's wishlist

1.Get rid of the annoying glitches that were in NV and 3.

2.To be set in multiple states like mabby Washington, Oregan, and parts of Idaho.

3.Introduce more types of mutants.

4.Give the character an actual voice.(but make it optional)

5.More options to negotiate, like ransoming for hostages or actually capturing someone to become a hostage.

Serpentaxy4005:40, March 9 2012 (UTC)

VaultNinja's Wishlist:

1. Destructable enviroments would be a nice addition, it was irritating having to go all the way around somewhere just because i was blocked by a wooden fence. Nothing to big just small things like using a explosives to bring down a small shack or making a alternate entrance. 2. If the game was set in a location covered by snow for example Canada or maybe a nuclear winter which could involve snow storms where it becomes harder to see making it easier to sneak past enemies but could have some negative effects on your equipment or health. 3. Add the ability to dual weild one handed weaponary for example a pistol and a knife or a pistol and another pistol but doing so stops any type of aiming so you have less accuracy while dual weilding firearms and certain perks could be selected that reduce the spray and improve the accuracy of dual weilding. 4. Add more weapon variations for example a crossbow could be used as a stealth weapon but because of its slow reload time would not be much use in a fire fight. 5. Add smarter enemies so its not just constant encounters with brainless enemies who charge directly towards us when we are firing at them make them try to flank us or use some members as decoys and while the decoys distract us the others attack, this would make the game better than just charging in head on guns blazing every fight because we would need to use tactics and this could link up with desrtuctable enviroments. 6. Improved physics if someone gets shot in the leg usually they don't continue running they go down on the floor or shooting off someones arms wouldn't kill them instantly but their health would continuously decrease as they try and flee from combat and maybe shooting enemies in the legs would cause them to try and crawl away from battle or continue shooting at you depending what they are e.g. supermutant would continue fighting no matter what. 7. Incorporate sprinting into the game if you sprint it will decrease your water levels and make your character tired maybe even shooting while doing it but it will make you run slower and less accurate and depending on how much you are carrying depends on your sprint speed and a higher agility might make you sprint faster and a higher endurance would make you sprint for longer. 8. Being able to go prone would be a good addition making your shots more accurate but making you move slower. 9. Most importantly allow us to continue playing after completing the games main quest line.

I think I like ^^ this wishlist more than my one. Nice ideas :D Liambobjobs 10:20, March 20, 2012 (UTC)

--Draikad 18:46, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Jpayne's wishlist

1. new game engine one with better graphics and doesnt stall every half an hour.

2. keep it in america (maybe cross into canada and dlc were you could visit china or europe) you would lose the 50s pulp sci fi vibe which i think makes fallout.

3. weapon customisation system like COD (camos etc).

4. no vehicles, leave them in rage and bordelands.

5. much larger area to explore.

6. bring in the songs on the radio from previous fallouts and three dog and mr new vegas aswell as a brand new DJ and new music but in keeping with 40s 50s vibe.

7. NO ONLINE OR COOP.

8. armor colour customisation (chrome black power armor) but you have to buy, find or acquire the paint and like the armor in skyrim head, arms, torso, legs.

9. playable after main quest finnish and make last main quest a massive battle like F3 and FNV

10. decide who won the battle of hoover dam and make it cannon in the fallout universe

11. keep the NCR, BOS, and have remanents of the enclave and caesers leigon aswell as new enemy's ( all four have to cool armor, weapons and names to just kill off)

Wish list

1. More Vaults to explore.

2. Better worked out companion system. More interactions, actually be able to care about your companianions (instead of laughing as you Fus Ro Dah them of a mountain in Skyrim).

3. Being able to play it co-op.

4. Weapon and Armour customization. add different elements to your armour and weapons (of course FNV had the weapon mods but I'd like to see that improved with for instance Camouflage and stuff.)

5. More big cities.

6. A player owned house that is completely customizable with furniture and textures (of course it shouldn't become a new Sims.)

7. Actually make changes to the world as you progress the story. Example: In FO3 you purify the water but then not much really happens.

8. More colours. A new engine maybe? I want to see a more colourfull wasteland.

9. Vehicles. Customizable vehicles? Because In both FO3 and FNV you could either walk or use fast travel. I would like to be able to travel faster but without always having to use fast travel or walk for ages.

10. The MOST important thing on my list. NO MORE STALLING / LAG! I do not know if this is the case with every console but I play on PS3 and after some playing it stalls every 20 minutes. stop that!

AlphaOmegaAZ's Wishlist

1. Set it in the Deep South (ie Louisiana, Florida, etc).

2. Bring back the Swampfolk and Swamp Ghouls.

3. Civil War Relics.

4. Airboats!!

5. More creepy places like The Dunwich Building or the Point Lookout Docks.

6. Mutated alligators, mosquitoes, snakes, spiders, etc.

7. Radioactive ghosts.

8. A story revolving around post-war slavery which includes factions like the Railroad, Confederates, Union, the Institute, and other, smaller communities like Goodsprings or Novac.

9. Redneck characters (including some voiced by famous blue-collar comedians).

10. Better music (Simon & Garfunkle, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, CCR, The Rolling Stones, etc.)

11. Underwater Combat (complete with underwater gear, like scuba suits and harpoon guns which can also be used on land).

12. Bow weapons like handbows, longbows, compound bows, and crossbows.

13. More weapon attachments including the option to remove certain attachments like silencers, scopes, stocks, etc.

14. Enemies use modded weapons or carry weapons mods on them.

15. Ability to marry NPCs and adopt children.

16. ...that's all I can think of.

1. Better Graphics. something with lots of detail and shadowing

2. Destructible environments. walls inside of buildings could be blown down with explosives, tents and shacks could collapse, glass can break. Maybe even parts of a ruined cement building could come off if it was hit with rocket fire. Also it would be the best if wooden structures could burn down if you used a flame thrower on them.

3. Long distance vision so you are not suppressed attacked by spawning enemies or you could totally avoid some encounters this way as well

4. Dynamic AI something that hides, runs, or surrounds you. the current AI is awful all it does is walk at you and shoot. give different factions different AIs. things like junkies may just walk at you and shoot were as the brotherhood, enclave or other army will employ actual tactics. while others may rely on sneak attacks

5. An enemy that actually hunts you and not just waits for you in a random location or a random encounter. Make enemy movement around the map be logical and purposeful. They could also leave some clues in locations they visit, as to when they were there or if they are coming back and how many of them there are.

6. Game world should continue outside when you are in structures with windows. 7. large map with diverse but logical landscape. 8. Varied building interiors and architecture so some buildings feel unique 9. More realistic combat I felt something was lost when you unloaded a magazine in someones face and they still shot at you

10. Personal and hired transportation (hired transportation occurs in real time). I think a steam powered train would be awesome. I think personal transportation should be things like a go cart or a motorcycle

11. No loading screens, they did not even stay up long enough to speed read the sentences on them

12. enemies should spawn in random locations. 13. Make the player character more flexible and able to sprint and hide behind cover. 14. Allow children to be killed 15. Better combat moves for example melee weapons will knock npcs down and show better animations of the fight. Even allow limb loss to occur before death.

16. Better animations in conversation mode we had to use are imagination a little in 3 and NV 17. Have the pc were a backpack or something to carry all of the gear in. Make items have a volume attribute as well as weight. make purchasable items that increase carrying ability such as bigger backs, tactical vests and side bags in addition to earned or inherited perks.

18. Skills should increase based on how the player plays 19. Attributes should have a greater impact on game play 20. Weapons should be more realistic with guns in poor condition being less reliable and less accurate rather than doing less damage. damage would have to be reduced at some time because a gun with a bad barrel may cause the bullets to lose stability. guns may be rebuilt or bought new from a gun smith at a very high price.

Ken May 27 2012

SilentUntilDark June 30 2012 I agree with what most people have said here but no one mentioned this...first person view should have a complete first person view like Battlefield 3,this would make first person so much more entertaining to play through.

JAKES WISH LIST JULY 26TH 2012

I am not going to pick a load of things but im just going to say 1 thing that i would love and everyone else would like in fallout 4 is new playable races cus i mean if you play as a ghoul not feral not everyone wants you dead and if you are taking in too much radiation as a ghoul they turn feral so you could make it so if you turn feral its like dieing so you just start from your last checkpoint and if you are a super mutant or nightkin not all super mutants and nightkin are evil so not everyuone wants you dead which would be the best race to be in my opinion they could just have abilities like in skyrim because nightkin abilities could be infinite stelth boy time but if you shoot or attack someone you become visible and it could be like skyrim when your in vampire lord form you can change between your character and vampire lord so u can change if u want to be visible or not whenever you want and they could have bonus sneak damage with the super mutant they have damage bonuses unarmed and melee and can use somthing a bit like berserker mode like what the orcs use the ghoul can have a power were they can recover health in radiation but if they stay in the radiation for too long they become feral which basically is like your dead so you have to go back to last checkpoint and they have bonuses with any weapon the reason why i havnt include thins like speech and things like that is because they can be used on like the vito matic thing please include this and if you decide to put this in you can improve this idea as much as you like but thats a good thing because i bet you could make it absoloutly amazing thank you please do it

fallout fanboy01 27/7/12

1.better land graphics 2.no stupid endings like you get knocked out by radiation 3.custom armour and guns 4.ability to use gecks to create community's 5.depending on where you star will depend what race and faction you are(Washington-ghoul is a mercenary,California-human pick bos or ncr,Navarro-only enclave and the commonwealth-android hunter or a part of the railroad 6. a more in depth story line that follows one person for more than 2 years. it should be more like you do a main storyline like stopping the last remaining enclave for the bos and then you travel to a new faction and help the ncr travel eastwards and help the rangers recon new areas and report the findings and then be leader of fully fledged invasion force with a behave or we will shoot you attitude.and then to top it off the the aliens from mother ship zeta sent a distress signal out and the rest of their race comes for revenge so you have to unite all of the faction under one flag and fight not for food land or wealth but just to stop the human race from becoming extinct 7.instead of 4 medium add-ons 2 really big add ons like the size of the oblivion shivering isles 8.implement modding into console version 9.ability to travel right across america

The Great Xyz's Wishlist

1.Dual Wielding however make it realistic only small 1-handed weapons

4.The New California Republic or NCR for short

10.CO-OP with a friend
11.add an option to be able to kill children that is almost always one of the first mods anyway
12.ghoulification like in that one mod on the nexus
13.more realistic for example starting with 50 carry-weight and a backpack adding 50 more and the strong back perk adding 50 more 14.new ways to travel like an enclave or BOS vertibird

Agni's Wishlist

1.Although there is a lot of momentum for a FO: Detroit when I wish, I wish upon a star like that ole song says so I'm holding out hope for The Vault Disneyworld Pip-Boy Massacree (sp. on porpoise), maybe in 3D even. "Duck Minnie, there's a Nukalurk on ur 6!" "Good Boy, Pluto!" <Bark> <Bark>

2.More silly, like the pop culture reference easter eggs or going head to head with Brain in FO2. Snarf!

3. An Ernest Borgnine memorial like Turbine did for Gygax in DDO, maybe a taxi cab stuck in some bizarre place with a holonote to Snake Plisken of his last words before heroically sacrificing himself and his cab to save the world from GECK re-purposed as WMD by whatever happened in Broken Steel ... or by a bitter evil Tandi.

4.While I loved the atmosphere and immersiveness of FO3 and I appreciate the silly that was included in the game, maybe the silly could be a DLC update for those who want it, while those who don't can be satisfied with a more grim apocalypse. By the same token, if Bethesda still has license to do any Lovecraft games (Dark Corners of the Earth was awesome if you haven't tried it yet, best on a console though) maybe a really good Lovecraftian scare DLC as what they had in FO3 was kinda meh, and they've already proved how well they can pull it off when they try.

5.Finally, I wish Bethesda might get that caravan flash game out as a buddy of mine has a deck of cards and chips and such and wants me to play but I'm figuring he's going to clean out all the caps I picked up at a local home brewed beer place before I figure out how to best build a deck. I probably should just go pick up Fallout New Vegas to do so but... Steam.

6.Hey, if we can play games to save the world in a world where the story begins after the end of the world (Danny Kaye tongue twisters anyone?) I can wish a wish after my final wish has been wished. I wish Bethesda would turn away from Dark Side of the Force. Reject Steam, we can sense the good in you Bethesda.

JwTutor's Wishlist:

1. A stable game. In any big game, there are going to be errors. Looking though this wiki, it's embarrassing how many bugs there still are in FO3 and New Vegas. So please, do enough play testing and then actually fix the game-breaking bugs before the game ships. If new stuff shows up later, patch it properly.

2. The character is simply too tough. Far too many starting hit points has led to highly annoying enemies - leading to humans taking a half-dozen or more .375 magnum rounds to the head before dying - to deal with a problem that would be more easily solved by looking back to FO1 and 2 to see that hit points were few in those games. Perhaps leave it the way it is for casual mode, but give us a challenging normal and a really tough difficult.

3. Hardcore mode is a good idea, but it was irritating. There's no reason that ammo should be weightless in the vanilla game, but having your character keep bitching about being hungry during fights was annoying. Perhaps avoid that sort of thing by letting the character auto eat and drink whenever needed, which could happen with a better inventory system.

4. A better inventory system. The PipBoy system in both games was good, but it would have been better if there were more categories or if existing categories could have sub-categories. That way, chems, food and drinks could be found separately. Alternately, it would be useful to flag items to 'hide' them when bartering so that merchant trash could be sold off quickly.

5. Crafting should be a mainstay of the game. This is a post-apocalyptic world where people have to scavenge for everything. Machetes made from lawn-mower blades, duct tape and a whetstone, crossbows assembled from cable, scrap metal, and rifle parts, armor made from leather, scrap metal, etc. should be standard. Breaking down captured enemies' armor and weapons might be a viable way to keep upgrading one's own equipment, which could help avoid the too-much-money problem.

6. Another fix for the problem of too-rich characters is to consider the economic system a bit better. While a nice 10mm pistol could be handy, in a post-apocalyptic world, clean water might be worth a lot more. What about all those eyeglasses? They might mean the difference between a person living and dying. Radiation and healing meds would be extremely valuable. Simply raising the costs of food, water and meds could help keep players from finding too much money.

7. There is too much stuff lying around. Any location that is as easy to get to as the houses outside Megaton would have been looted long ago. Teddy bears should not be found sitting on picnic tables. First-aid boxes would be empty much more often than full. Further, why is there Jet in military bases locked down by robots? Any place easily looted would have been and any place not looted would have to be irradiated, dangerous, or hidden.

8. Some modification to the skills would be useful. Fallout NV dropped the 'Big Guns' skill and that was fine. It might be worth doing the same thing with 'Melee Weapons' and 'Unarmed'. I would like to see 'Energy Weapons' dropped as well and simply use the Guns skill in its place (maybe with higher requirements on all the energy weapons to emphasize their complexity). Perhaps add a skill to replace it, a new creation skill or something.

9. Go back to something like the skill system of Fallout 2. Back then, skills could be raised over 100, flagged skills were easier to increase, and more skill points were given each level. This gave players a lot more room to specialize and could deal with the problem of having a character with a guns of 100 be unable to target well in VATS and allow for more complex locks and computer password systems to be put into place.

10. Make existing skills more useful. The game is a lot easier if one dumps points in speech, science and lockpick (a fighting skill is good too). Barter isn't needed because it's easy to build up vast quantities of cash, explosives is marginal unless one likes rocket launchers, survival is only really useful in hardcore. Barter could be checked more when dealing with rewards for jobs, explosives could be used to blow open locked doors instead of dealing with locks or even open routes that are otherwise inaccessible, and survival could give DR at 10% of its value.

11. Make all stats useful. Currently, it's not a problem to play a character with a charisma of 1. This is bad. Each stat should have some real effect on the game. Strength could also allow characters to intimidate or use tools to break through doors (possibly using Melee). Perception could change the visibility horizon and increase natural and other zoom factors. Endurance could have more effect on resistance, especially if drugs were reduced. Charisma could change the rate that faction opinions change or could affect the chance that someone might betray the character (a random factor like that could be fun). The others are fine.

12. Work on the enemy AI. 'Nuff said.

13. Consider making enemies finite. The Capital Wasteland was just filled with raiders who always managed to find new members who came equipped with guns and armor. Respawning enemies is fine in a FRPG, but it would be a lot more interesting if the dead stayed dead unless they had some realistic source of reinforcements.

14. More named, unique NPCs. There should be no generic 'settlers' or 'wastelanders' each person should be named and when they die, they're gone. Use as many voice-actors as possible, get the staff and their families in there filling in the small roles. Fallout 3 was particularly bad about reusing voice actors, don't do that again. Any character that the player will interact with a lot should have a unique voice actor, this means all shopkeepers and companions as well as people who give out multiple quests.

15. Realism. Despite the game being unrealistic at its core, it would be nice if there was some more realism. What do all these deathclaws eat? Sure, Fiends are no fun, but why is no one doing anything about those cazadores? The towns of Fallout 3 could never be sustained with radioactive water and no farmland. Why can't the NCR military get their collective act together? Where does all that ammo come from in the Capital Wasteland? Who is manufacturing all this identical underwear that everyone has?

16. Reputation. This was a good idea to bring back for NV, but it would be nice if reputation would not be lowered without reason. If I kill 3 NCR soldiers on patrol, there are no witnesses to tell the NCR what I did, so there should be no change.

17. Variety. Fallout games are often replayed several times by the fans. Having mutually-exclusive quests (like the faction quests in NV), quests with different outcomes based on choices, and quests with no good resolution (the Tenpenny Towers ghouls situation) all adds immeasurably to the game, but it helps if there are real choices. In Fallout 3, there was one path to the end. In NV, there were 4 paths to the end, but some of them were simply not as well-developed. This also goes for the mini-games, like picking locks or breaking into computers. Some different challenges could help.

18. Followers. NV did this right, do that again. More than one follower at a time and improved AI would be even better. Having followers able to use their non-combat skills to help out would be great (unlock doors, etc.)

19. Inaccessible doors suck. Why bother to create this huge world when most of the of the buildings have sealed doors? Even if the buildings are empty or simply full of radroaches and rats, put something in there. Finding the occasional corpse with some ammo could be reward enough.

20. Perks need to be better thought out. It might be better if all perks were earned so that characters who made a lot of headshots got Sniper at some point etc. Perhaps a mix, so that some could be chosen while others earned.

21. Traits are great and should be expanded to allow more character customization (age, height, body type, etc.). Having a tall character might make them move faster but have trouble ducking behind cover. Perhaps a larger character could have some bonus hit points, but a larger hitbox. Different body features could make NPCs stand out more too. 'Wild Wasteland' was an excellent idea that allowed the developers to put their silly ideas in for people who wanted them.

22. No player-controllable vehicles. While this isn't something anyone wants to hear, vehicles would easily ruin Fallout. Driving over enemies. Dealing with crashes, explosions, fires, theft. The developers having to constantly set up situations to get you out of your car so that you're on foot again. It's simply not worth all the problems that it would cause as fast-travel works pretty well. Unless the vehicle is something like a mountain bike that just speeds up travel a bit but doesn't allow for splattering enemies.

23. Fix fast travel. Please, no more having fast-travel materialize the player in the middle of a group of enemies (or having enemies spawn all around a few seconds later). This is cheap and unpleasant as there's not a person who's played Fallout 3 who hasn't been ambushed the moment the loading screen ends by some raiders or other undesirables. It was even more offensive in Honest Hearts.

24. Random encounters. Fallout 3 had a lot of interesting random encounters that weren't always brawls. This should be done again.

25. Weapon mods. So, that Varmint Rifle night scope can't be mounted on any other gun? Why the hell not? Something like that should be able to be fitted to any reasonable gun (maybe only rifles?) and should be a high-end item. If it could reasonably be used on a particular weapon, it should be allowable. Specific weapon mods should be less common.

26. Give console players access to the console commands. Since you're not really that likely to actually fix errors, it would be nice if we could use console commands to undo problems ("Why's this door locked?!" "What happened to ED-E?!" "Why does Fawks have more hit points than all of Point Lookout?!"). Sure, some people will use it to cheat, but who cares?

27. Make the world live. Townspeople should not ignore corpses in the street. When the player destroys the supermutants in a building, the ghouls nearby might go in and loot while the player is off selling the loot. Why does the BOS not secure those subways that the Lone Wanderer cleared? Corpses that vanish, looters who pick a site clean, factions that move in to a site, all of these things help.

28. Don't ever do anything like Little Lamplight again! That location is one of the stupidest, least-thought out, most irritating places ever. So, we're to suppose that these kids have more kids before being kicked out to go to 'Bigtown' to keep the place running? Okay, that's stupid. The fact that children can't die (which is foolish, this is an M game) makes them more than a match for the Enclave. They are also too much for the slavers who are apparently too stupid to break down the wooden barrier and take all the kids. If they'd all been ghoul children, it would have been bleak. If they'd all been ghosts (there was a ghost in Fallout 2, so it's not unreasonable) it would have been tragic. As it is, it's just an annoying way to stretch out the main quest.

29. Careful with the DLC stuff. There's no reason that the antique weapons from Point Lookout should be superior to military hardware. That Chinese stealth suit from Operation Anchorage was a game-breaker. Sierra Madre chips give too easy access to stuff that's normally hard to get (like weapon repair kits). Etc. Consider giving players more balanced stuff, like from Honest Hearts. Perks are also good, as would be a companion that came back with the player.

30. Let's have something different for Fallout 4. I'd be pleased if the game was set in the snowy north in a city like industrial Detroit (quite a different town from DC or Vegas). I'd also enjoy something more rural, perhaps something set in the South with small towns, swamps, etc. Please, no rehashed desert like NV or endless ruined subway tunnels and ruined streets like DC. Maybe even a place with minimal influence from existing factions like the BOS, Enclave, etc.

31. More about companions. Too often it felt like companions were nothing more than guys who helped in battle. Take a look at Dragon Age Origins. The companions in that game would interject comments into conversations and would have side conversations with each other. In New Vegas, it was fun when a random NCR trooper on the Strip commented on Lily or when the Great Khans mentioned that Boone was a murderer. However, Boone had nothing to say to anyone with the NCR army, not even First Recon. Making the characters interact more would make them more real and make the game that much better. It should also be remembered that companions have their own agendas and those might not always gibe with the player's.

32. More money sinks to keep players from amassing an obscene amount of money. Instead of having equipment in shops based solely on a player's level, requiring them to invest in shops to help the shopkeeper justify the heavier gear would be helpful. Upgrades to a player's home was a wonderful way to remove money in Skyrim, and could work well in Fallout 4 too. Making players pay for information could help too.

33. Hit-squads. In Fallout 3, the hit squads that would keep coming after the player were both annoying and unrealistic. In Fallout NV, the hit squads were more realistic (since they were sent by specific groups that actually hated you). Something that could have been added to NV would have been hit squads sent out by the casinos to recoup heavy losses, which would be a good thing for Fallout 4. For example, you do a job for someone who hangs around with unsavory types. Some of those folks might try to jump you at an opportune time (like when you're in the middle of fighting something else or have just beaten it). Keep them reasonable and, if possible, make it so that they can be stopped.

34. VATS needs to be fixed. Currently, it's not uncommon for a person using VATS to find that the 95% chance to hit actually meant 100% chance to hit a rock or other obstruction and watch as all their action points get wasted. It's also not unknown to die because your character stands there while a different enemy pounds on them. VATS should be more like bullet time or something similar where it slows down the action and makes it easy to fight difficult enemies. If nothing else, VATS in its current form needs to be able to be cancelled during use if it becomes clear that you need to shop shooting at an enemy that's now in cover or need to heal. For that matter, reloading animations need to be able to be cancelled so that the player can heal. Oh, and let us attack the eyes and groin again.

35. Watch the leveling! In Fallout 3, one could easily get up to level 14 by just doing the Wasteland Survival Quests and a few others nearby. In Fallout NV, there are enough XP to get one to level 33 without doing any of the final quests or DLCs. That's too much, you need to make it a more exponential growth function for leveling so that early levels could be gained quickly, but later ones might take a lot longer. If the quests in the core game give you enough XP to get you 13 levels past the original level cap, it's clearly not high enough is it? Either drop the level cap nonsense or fix leveling. Oh, and note that I took the -10% XP trait as well, without it, I might be level 36. Keep leveling easy for the first 10 levels or so, but then crank it up to make it harder.

36. Sneaking. In Fallout 3, one could sneak up on someone, slash them with a knife in a sneak attack critical, and if you were wearing a the Chinese stealth suit or a stealth boy, hear "Hmmm, must have been the wind." Not likely. Despite how annoying it would be, I want enemies to come looking for me and/or take cover. I also want enemies to use stealth against me. Getting sniped by a bunch of Vipers would require some thoughtful play to avoid.

37. Healing. Please stop it with the 'sleep heals you' thing. It's silly.

38. Time pressure. The first Fallout gave you a set number of days to get the water chip or your people would die. In Fallout 2, you had a week or three to resolve one of the quests or the Most games don't worry too much about time, but making it a factor in gameplay would really add something.

39. What's with the weight? Why does a batch of 200 hypodermics weigh less than a fork? Bottlecaps and other money are weightless? It's okay to use decimal values for weight, we really won't mind, but there should be no freebees except very small items like papers or keys. Weightless quest items are an acceptable break from reality.

40. Skill books and magazines. Skill books should only work once per character. There's not a lot to learn from Dean's Electronics after you've studied it the first time. Having three different versions of each skill book would allow them to be more common. I like the idea of skill magazines, but they don't make any sense. Having them be weaker versions of books (+1 permanent point to the skill). Perhaps replace them in their current form with rare 'smart' drugs or simply have existing chems add the benefits. Either way, the books and magazines should not be consumed, but should be used and then sold.

Finally, it's easy to say "it's just a game", but it's not, it's a Fallout game. Fallout games, from the beginning, allowed us to make real choices that affected the ending and could benefit or doom an entire region. Please, don't ever change that. I was strongly encouraged by the Tenpenny / ghoul conflict in Fallout 3 that allowed for a situation where no choice went unpunished, that was good work and should be encouraged. Too many RPGs these days are simply missions with cutscenes, the Fallout series has generally let the players question people and make choices. Jwtutor (talk) 21:43, November 19, 2012 (UTC)

Kharixovian's "Wishlist"

1) Make the storyline and main character more relevant to each other, in NV the main storyline had nothing to do with you at all, you were a courier who could've left at any moment, fallout 3 is a good example of relevance, your father ran of and your searching for him, but in many cases you need to do stuff for others to get the info.

2) Realism with the factions and whole areas, I believe the NCR had Vetibirds, and various other advanced equipment, THAT THEY DIDNT USE agaisnt the Leigon, when they very well knew where they might be, how come you cant help the factions such as the BoS or Great khans to control Vegas, they have as many troops and fighters as the NCR and Leigon have in New vegas, why havent the Mojave BoS asked for help yet, with the threat of the enclave gone, clean water supplied to the wasteland in the Capital/ FEV killing off the mutated creatures, then the Capital chapter can help any time they like, and my last point it's so unrealistic the NcR beating the BoS how they did, the BoS could've bought NcR technology systems down in seconds. And much more unrealism with factions.

3) Stop being lazy and make new creatures that arnet recycled versions, it's got tedious.

4) Make better custom weapons, naming a normal weapon a special name and upping it's stats is plain lazy, no thought, probably because the makers couldnt be bothered.

5) Be able to properly join factions, we havent really got to overall, we've just been a mercenary really, doing their work.

6) Do not make other races playable, keep it as just playing as a normal human, playing as a super mutant would be highly unreal and just plain stupidity, what's the point in playing as a ghoul, it would ruin hardcore mide if it came back, and radiation would be pointless.

7) Vaults to explore and do quests in, the vaults had great story, design and interesting quests to do with them.

8) A better moral system or non at all, if I steal from the raiders it's evil, but killing them is good.. Wow, what a messed up moral system indeed.

9) Actually make it a wasteland, there should be more than two people starving and thirsty, its a fight for a survival not a light hearted comedy, the actual poor people had it well off.

10) No ending, do something like Broken steel again.

11) Continue making the Dlc how it is, it's pretty good the dlc for the games.

12) Make companions harder to get, I mean most of them just joined you straight away and nothing needed to be done, I'd rather gain their trust or do something for them first. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kharixovian (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I would like to see a Pip-Boy 3000B. Look at today's technology. We have smartphones, tablets, etc., and the Pip-Boy can hardly compare to them. The Fallout World (although this does seem difficult to implement) needs to blend with the real world. It doesn't make much sense for there to be tiny green-screen TVs in the game as well, or crap antique radios.

However, I don't know how we would make it consistent with how the rest of the USA has A models and now suddenly the whole USA now seems to have upgraded to Bs. But I'm sure the developers can figure something out, they're experts in this field. Although technically the same could be said for the original games and the transition to Fallout 3, given the circumstances, I guess that could be allowed to slip.

What I would add to a 3000B:

  • Normal colour screen (Honestly, why is there a dull plain single colour screen anyway? Televisions and terminals too.)
  • Database: It's a Vault-Tec and governmental device, after all. The B model has a stronger, more authentic and privileged uplink to the Vault-Tec Satellite Network (responsible for world maps, etc.), and that the uplink acts also as an encyclopedia. But to be consistent however, due to pre-War security legislation, it will only give information the user finds themselves. For example, it will only give the user access to the bio of a weapon if they have that weapon, and so on. It will give a wide range of encyclopedia entries freely, but certain entries must be triggered by keywords, etc. I'm not really sure how to make this work properly, or how to explain it, but once again, the devs can figure out a way.

It will give detailed bios on weaponry, clothing, items, etc. (but only pre-War items which are logged in the Pip-Boy system. If they are not pre-War or recognised, the Pip-Boy will not provide a bio, and the game pretends the player writes in the bio.) The player writes in bios on characters, or post-War locations, or the post-War condition of locations, items, the list goes on.

  • Modern map: The map is actually true, realistic, imagery of the post-War World, now that it is in colour. Similar to the "Satellite" option on Google Maps. However, once again, due to security legislation before the War, the player can only see the local area of their current location, stopping them seeing the rest of the World. It also has a more integrated, official, GPS-like, pre-War like, and serious implementation, style, and geography. For flavour, it can also detect weather as well.
  • Touchscreen: For flavour, give it touchscreen. It makes no sense to use buttons for these sort of things in that time period.
  • Radio: Similar to concept art of the Fallout 3 Pip Boy, the radio is in a frequency style.
  • Individual kill counts of enemies: For example "Robots destroyed", "Super Mutants killed", "Feral Ghouls killed", or "Institute staff killed".
  • Communication: The player can speak to other people with Pip-Boys, or call phone numbers (or whatever else people use)
  • Backgrounds: The player may choose between the standard background, or a selection of default backgrounds. The player can also import one into it.

Moving away from the Pip-Boy now, I'd want to see a reputation system like the one in the originals. You know, the personal ones about the player, which they can gain or lose.

There should also be more music in the game. One idea I have is timed music, where, at a certain date in the in-game calendar, one or two new songs will begin to play on the station. Another idea is Song Packs as DLC.

If the game is indeed set in Massachusetts, I would love a DLC where we return to the Capital Wasteland and see the canon actions, as well as what has transpired through the years. The only landmark mentioned in Fallout 3 which would be plausible are the Erie Stretch, but only if it refers to the Erie Canal in New York, as that is near enough to make sense. Philadelphia (Philly in-game) would be nice, too, since it also has some sort of use, being the location of the Liberty Bell which Abraham Washington wants, and he sent an expedition there, too. Since the Abbey of the Road is west of Massachusetts, in New York, I would be interested in an expansion there. But also not to make the game calendar ridiculously pass a month.

  • Compelling perks: In Fallout 3, at around Level 25, I always found the perks being dull, useless, or unlikeable. In some cases, I took fifteen minutes scrolling through all of them about six times, trying to find one that I would like.
  • The ability to choose which elements of Hardcore Mode you want on or off. Mostly due to companions.
  • Similar dungeon system: Some people may have hated the Metro systems, but to be honest, I don't see why. I rather enjoyed them. Although the Massachusetts train system isn't really as interesting as DC's, it would do to keep a Metro system, but make it half as prominent, and place a similar, second dungeon system of some sort in the game. I'm not sure what it could be, or how, but, once again, the devs can figure it out. User Broccoli  Broc  msg  Blog  11:25, March 21, 2013 (UTC)

Another of Kharixovian's "wishlists"

1) Bethesda please stop being lazy and making buildings we cant enter, even if they are covered in rubble or destroyed, there still will be stuff in them, and still ill be able to partially enter them.

2)MAKE THE MAIN CITY RELEVANT, frankly new vegas was never relevant, the quests were very little for the most important area, if your not going to be useful and make one main city that is good and well done, just do loads of little towns like F3

3) I personally liked fallout 3's start of game, it was a great way to make a great storyline, like the next game could be, being born in enclave watching your family die, or being boern in the NCR as a poor child, F:NV didnt explain any of your life at all.

4) Bring the Behemoths back, a great idea to the game, a good challenge too.

5) More children, this may sound rather stupid, but lets look realistically, its a world of gangs, rape would be often, I believe there's barely any contraceptives, and also the children are needed in loads of factions for work.

6) DLC Ideas - Canada and Mexico, or in Caesar's territory.

7) Dont you dare copy Skyrim's skill system, Fallout will lose all of it's stuff that make it unique and great f they do that, because in fallout there's some stuff that require different skills randomly, whereas in skyrim, you'd have to train the skill for ages to even do that certain thing.

8) Dont use the skyrim way of getting weapons, fuck level scaling, its fallout, random stuff is everywhere, a random nuke launcher wont pop up at level twenty, it could be potentiolly bought or found anywhere.

9) Keep VATS, but WHEN I SHOOT THE LEG THE HEAD SHOULDNT COME OFF. thankyou.

10) Keep BoS, why? They basically define fallout now, them, the radiation and mutated creatures, without them fallout wouldnt seem the same.

11) Tell us more about the factions we met on other games, I bet we all want to know about the BoS chapter that hasnt been heard from for ages.

12) No multiplayer, please no, it'd completely ruin fallout, fallout is a well maintained rpg, not a FPS game, even operation anchorage had story and wasnt a mere FPS.

13) Tattos and scars, its the wasteland, not a cute little salon in California that makes you smell and look lovely.

14) Less bugs, please it's getting tedious now.

15) No pip boy 4000, or 2000, please explain to me how it'd even be possible to get such a thing, when everyone in the vaults specifically had a 3000 model, the other models are likely wrecked and destroyed, and the only people who'd know how to update it are likely dead or with the enclave.

16) make hardcore, hardcore, food and water were to easy to get.

mitropanos wishlist for fallout 4

1) usable vehicles (like the one car you find in fallout 2

2) weider arsenal of big weapons

3) more detailed character appearence editing

4) and finally the thing i want most...AN OPTION TO PICK A GHOUL OR A MUTANT FOR CHARACTER :)

Jon's Wishlist

1) More weapon variety, what I mean is weapons with scopes, names and different stats. We should also have more powerful but less reliable weapons, no more of the military grade-high tech weaponry being found commonly all over the wasteland and in shops. They should be extremely rare but very powerful too.

2) Factions actually doing stuff. What I mean is, the brotherhood is fighting the super mutants right? Well why don't I ever run into them raiding a super mutant infested building. What about the slavers at paradise falls? Well I have never seen them do anything with slaves, or attempt to bring in slaves. So why not show it and let the player interact with factions.

3) I will not be the last to say this, but vehicles. Vehicles like Motor cycles and old retro-like cars that are hard to maintain, possibly stolen, and destructible. In order to get them you will have to find a vehicle chassis (Scrapyard hint hint) and the parts necessary to rebuild them.

4) More quality missions with game-play variety. Something like the companion missions in new Vegas, remember the one where you lead someone out to the field to be gunned down by a sniper? Yeah I do. There could also be more story rich missions, where you could maybe help the brotherhood set up some mines or setting up explosives on the weak end of a building to make it collapse, killing those damned super mutants

5) fatal and large consequences. If I consume enough radiation there could be a chance that I will become a ghoul or I will die. If I fall 1-3 stories I shouldn't die, but break my legs giving me a massive disadvantage because my right leg is broken. I double-crossed some people from the commonwealth, now the institute will be hunting me down. Fallout 3 did this, but there was very little of it.

6) Becoming ghouls or starting as androids. Common a lot of people loves this, in the fallout universe ghouls are human being exposed to so much radiation they mutated into..... well ghouls. When playing as a ghoul radiation will heal you, but you will have well less health since most of your skin is dead/decaying. Androids will have a lot of health, since your made of metal stimpacks, blood packs and food will have no effect on you. Instead you have to heal yourself with scrap metal etc.

7) Focusing on specific parts of the graphics engine. In fallout 3 the lighting was not so good, and the faces, animations and character models were simply bad. Focusing on the lighting and character models will increase the immersion factor by 10! Note: Skyrims faces and animations were much better, but not great.

8) We need a unique and interesting location for the next game that is in America. I say we should have a setting in Manhattan island or New york city. Just think of the possibilities, the sky scrapers providing great locations for cities, rooftops providing sniping positions, the metros providing a great way to get around, the park providing a wild-life zone of radiated creatures, the empire state building being a base for the enclave, the statue of liberty being a radio station like "Liberty Prime Radio" etc.

9) More radio stations and songs for that matter. Three dogs was great but with the limited amount of side quests, about 6-8 of them he really didn't do much besides rarely commenting on what you have done. I think having 4 or 5 radio stations in the next game with about 25-40 songs each will do. Maybe something the radio stations could do is have more tips that could be useful to the player, mention some faction action happening while broadcasting that you could go participate in. :)

10) More variety, and some old faces from good ole fallout 3'. The next fallout game better have some more creatures, if they carried over say 10 of the creatures of 3 and created 15 new types and maybe a few variants of the old ones they would do fine. But besides the creatures, maybe some hostile gangs, raiders, factions. Gangs could be small factions that can only be eliminated by killing there leader and destroying there HQ.

11) Free Roam multiplayer. Just like Red Dead Redemption with you and some buddies being allowed to free roam the world, team up and survive together. Maybe not 16 people, but 12 or 8 max.

12) Take your time on the story and expansion packs. I remember playing operation anchorage and mother ship zeta and being extremely disappointed because of how basically they were shooter fest. Operation Anchorage was extremely disappointing because of how short it was (1/2-2 hours max) and how it was just a long mission. Mothership zeta suffers from the same as Operation Anchorage but instead of getting a good reward in the end, the only npc in the entire game that can possibly have 100 repair skill disappears and the reward you get is bridge on the ship. Please Bethesda take your time next time when making your next expansions, and please try to make them add something new and fresh to the game without them feeling like you were given a chicken bone instead of a chicken drumstick.

Mantle’s Wishlist

I do want

1. Standing crouching sprinting. I think these are acceptable features of other mainstream games (read: Call of Duty) to bring in – they make the action more fluid.

2. AI improvements have been covered, but to recap – making them basically more human. Have them react to the player. Diving for cover, calling for reinforcements, flanking, all those.

3. Similarly, I think hardcore should make bullets more deadly. A common complaint is putting shell after shell into one guy’s head and have him still stoically refuse to die. I personally would like it as a major gameplay feature but I imagine it would be unpopular, so hardcore is probably the way to go.

4. Underwater. I think the previous games, 3 and NV, really missed a trick with this. I personally have a fear of water in videogames – it’s where the scariest stuff tends to lurk, and the stuff you often can’t defend yourself against. Mirelurks and Lakelurks partially explored this, but I’d like to take my rebreather and go and explore some underwater ruins, having to dodge between pillars when a large, dark shape flits past. Basically what I’m saying is let’s have some purely aquatic, terrifying animals to avoid. Actual underwater combat to be kept to a minimum – you can shoot (let’s say irradiated sharks at this point, you’re all thinking it) them from the surface, but there’s little to no defence against them in the water.

5. On a similar note of horror, I like the idea of the occasional ghost. Living in a wasteland would make you paranoid, prone to jumping at shadows. You hear movement in an empty house, but know its empty. See people flitting past windows when you’ve just cleared the place. There was a brilliant vault (cannot remember which one) in F3 that induced hallucinations. That was great, could we have just a little bit more of that? Don’t make it a major gameplay staple though.

6. I like the idea of being totally immersed in FPS perspective. Far Cry 3 and Battlefield 3 did a good job of this. Flailing for ledges, rolling in the sand, view flicking to the sky as you were knocked backwards off your feet, those kinds of things. I’m not very expectant on that one though, given that Fallout has its legions of TPS fans.

7. Companion commands is a pretty decent idea. I was a little bit disappointed with the companion wheel. Maybe an idea for improvement - let us bring it up from the Pip-Boy without having to walk over to the companion, so you can give them commands on the fly. Switching from melee to guns, for example. Or new options – targeting someone and telling your companion to kill them loudly or quietly. To make room for this, some options on the wheel can be removed to be brought up in conversation instead, before or after a fight. Opening the companion inventory, for example, or telling them to be passive/aggressive.

8. I think Fallout needs to return to its desolate origins. Fallout 3 did this far better than New Vegas did. As someone said upthread, running into a friendly NPC every other minute ruined the aspect of loneliness, and sadness, and fear. I don’t want to see it becoming too civilised, because it becomes a slightly different game. The NCR were everywhere in NV to the extent that it became difficult playing when you antagonised them. And if you had their support, you were dandy. I prefer factions like the BOS in F3. Sure they were around, but they kept to their area and they didn’t help you unconditionally. They were unpredictable in a sense. Let’s bring that back.

9. I liked hit squads, let’s please keep them. I liked the fact that something was following me across miles of game-land to specifically attempt to kill me.

10. Ghoulification being treated similarly to vampirism is an interesting idea. I wouldn’t hate to see it.

11. On a similar note, your own buildings or factions wouldn’t be a bad idea. They sort of did it with Hearthfire, so could that idea could be extended a bit?

I don’t want

1. Kids dying. I recognise it’s irritating, but I think a slightly more disturbing alternative is having millions of real-life people gunning away into children while hearing them scream (the voice actors are real, too!). Sure it’s the wasteland, but I’m on the side of the censors with this one – it’s erring on the side of gratuitous.

2. Sexual content in dialogue. It’s fine as it is. If you want to hear that sort of thing, there are millions of other types of entertainment catering to you.

3. Someone upthread mentioned “magic – why does it belong the medieval times?” Because it’s a different game. You want another Skyrim. This isn’t it.

4. Vehicles. I am admittedly tempted by a dune buggy and/or vertibird, but the game world is limited. One of the things that made it so massive was the fact that you had to walk everywhere. If you had a vehicle think how smaller you would make the game world seem, almost instantly. It would already feel like there’s so much less in it.

5. Multiplayer – save it for other games. I think Fallout is the better for having no attention wasted on multiplayer. It’s a single player experience, and loneliness is a key part of it. I remember venturing into DC, looking up at the first ruined skyscraper. I don’t want to share that experience with anyone, it was my own little moment of wonder.

6. Extra companions. Sure, all well happy and good, until you realise you’ve wandered into a room full of deathclaws and want to back the hell out of that door. Your two guys and a dog probably won’t all move aside in time. One companion is fine. It also stops you from feeling overpowered. Two guns are better than one, but three makes you feel like you can take on anything. Even if you can’t, it’s not something the Fallout series needs.

7. Not that keen on money sinks. If you play a game for a while, especially a popular one, you’ll get a vast amount of currency. It’s just a fact. Give us stuff to spend it on, sure, but don’t raise prices just because.

Tag's Wishlist

1. New Creatures. I don't mean scrap all the old ones just add a few new ones to fight. I mean no matter where i seem to go in the wasteland all i ever run into is, a) supermutants. b) ghouls, or c) Giant Ants. Yes you run into Raiders and such but their not creatures and ill get to them later and why is there no spiders? I mean they are all over the planet in large numbers but there is not even one that survived really? Now i understand some creatures might have to be removed for the new ones but some absolutely cannot be taken out. A) Deathclaws, everyone may complain that they hate these guys but really you love them when you reach lever 25 there is practically no challenges left but even one of this pop out at you its still enough for you to turn and run. B) Murlocks there is almost no water based creatures so unless your going to add a new one keep them.

2. More people. Yes i understand it was the apocalypse but this is more than a century later and humans tend to reproduce quickly and while you may argue that they are all killing each other off what about the vaults? A large group of people sitting around for i think over two hundred years now? and your telling me that they only have 16 to 20 children a generation i call BS.

3. More Guns! It was pretty much world war 3 and one of the fronts was in America when china invaded yet the main weapons found are handguns? where are all the military's weapons?

4. Bring in more of the Enclave I want to see them in action besides just trying to kill you. Maybe a war between the and the BoS. Yeah the Enclave still have a lot of Technology But the BoS collect it im sure the Enclave are just dying to get there hands on one of the BoS's stockpiles!

What I would like to happen is for Obsidian (or all the original creators) to make basically Van Buren but where you could choose from the the beginning (Like Hardcore Mode) how you want to play it like Fallout 3 and NV. Or how they originally intended for it to play.24.253.237.217 01:40, July 7, 2013 (UTC)

Bamit11's Wislist

1. Karma

I think Fallout 4 would be much better if the karma system was changed. Like if you do something evil that isn't a big deal like stealing something, you can get good karma by doing something small like giving a beggar water. But if you do something terrible like blowing up Megaton in Fallout 3, the only way to redeem yourself would be by doing something equally as big like saving a different town or just saving a lot of people. But, something may even be irredeemable like poisoning the water in Fallout 3 or destroying the Brotherhood.

2. Sex

Since this is an M rated game, you should be able to do more sex related things like in Fallout 1 and 2. So say there is a person guarding a building, you might be able to sleep with them to get free passage. It would be even better if when you started the game, each guard had a chance of being gay or straight so that it even guy characters may be able to take advantage of this. They could also allow you to become a porn star like in Fallout 2.

3.Slavery

They should also bring back slavery in Fallout 4 like in Fallout 3 and bring back the Mesmetron for this. One thing they could definitely change though is that when a character is essential like a child you couldn't use the Mesmetron on them, so you couldn't enslave them. This was annoying, especially because since you can't kill children and they will probably never add this feature, in some towns you couldn't just make it into a ghost town because you killed everybody. There may be 1 or 2 unkillable children running around, meaning the town will never be empty. So in place of killing them, you will be able to enslave them if they change this. And I know this isn't considered too evil for Bethesda because you could already ensalve 2 children in Fallout 3.

Legendo's Wishlist -17/7/2013-

1. Period swimwear. A.K.A Bikinis/one-piece for ladies, Boardies for men.

2. More examples of pre-war clothing. E.G. Battered College Jackets, Spectator shoes, Public issue gas-masks.

3. A bonafide sprint function.

4. A Visual body mass function, similar to that of the original Fable. That may, or may not, affect S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats. (Skinnier = More Agility, less damage resistance)

5. The return of the song "Boogie Man" by Sid Phillips on the music radio station.

6. A good, sturdy 'non-hunting' pump-action shotgun. E.G. Fallout Universe equivalent of an Ithaca Model 37

7. The return of the Chinese Assault Rifle or Ak-47-esque firearm.

But mainly the swimwear to be honest.

Devellis96's wishlist

-27/07/2013-

1. New engine. The current one is horrible outdated and wasn't very stable to begin with. Don't take that as an insult, take it as a complement. Fallout 3 and NV were just so amazing I didn't care THAT much about the crappy engine.

2. Dynamic lighting/weather/sound It would make the game much more immersive. Think BF3 for lighting and sound.

3. [More] Dynamic world. Fallout world's are already incredibly dynamic. I'd like to see more though! One where if you blow up Megaton, it takes a few in-game days to spread across the wasteland.

4. CO-OP!! 'Nuff said. Local and online. Implications are utterly amazing for a series as great as Fallout. I don't really care for PvP. You might also consider a sandbox Multiplayer like Minecraft or GTA IV, where anyone can join, but whether you co-operate or fight each other is up to you. This should be separate however, with the single player campaign and cooperative campaign being the same (drop-in/drop-out style, like Fable 3) and perhaps a different multiplayer sandbox style campaign, or the same campaign for multiplayer that is just separate from the coop and single player ones.

5. Maintain or improve mod support. Avoid propriety. One of the things that made Fallout 3 and NV such a good game was the massive potential for modding. Don't forget that.

6. CUSTOMIZATION!! Armor could perhaps be a one piece thing: gloves, pants, boots, top, vest and all. Clothing and other apparel should be separate, not one-piece outfits. For example, instead of pre-war springwear, you would have jeans and a dress-shirt --separately. For firearms, think BF3/CoD/GRFS. All weapons should be standard with no attachments, camouflages etc. You should be able to find/purchase sights, suppressors, flash suppressors, heavier/longer/shorter barrels, laser sights, foregrips, grenade launchers, gas systems etc. For energy weapons, same thing, however an advantage of energy weapons might be that they have no recoil (perhaps only laser weapons, as they shoot light -massless waves).

7. Weapon mechanics. Dynamic Recoil with classes specific to weapon calibre and weapon model. Ex, 5.56 weapons would have a similar gross recoil, but an M4A1 and a SCAR-L might have a different net recoil, in terms of direction. The M4A1 might kick towards the left more than the SCAR, for example.

8. Dynamic equipment. Finding a weapon sling might allow you to carry more weapons, whereas purchasing or finding a medpack might allow you to carry more stimpaks. Don't think FarCry 3 here, I like the inventory system as it is. However, I think it is ridiculous that you can carry around a minigun, rocket launcher and gatling laser, simultaneously while you are in your underwear. You might get a significant bonus with such larger weapons while wearing power armor, as in FOOK (or is it FWE?)

9. Ammunition? I don't know about this one, but, ammo is generally not sold with magazines. Perhaps the sale of magazines and actual ammunition should separate within the game. For example, you might have 300 rounds of 5.56 ammunition but only five STANAG magazines, so you can only prepare 150 rounds to load into your M4. After the magazine is expended, there should be a large chance of recovering them (32/40 for example) with the chance increasing if you have a dump-pouch (perhaps to 39/40 in such a case). If you have an M4 and an M249 (discounting the fact that the M249 takes STANAG magazines anyway) you might need to unload STANAG magazines and link the rounds to a belt before loading into your M249. Perhaps this could only be a feature in Hardcore mod, with regular mod just using the existing ammo-stockpile system :P

10. Damage. This is a big one. Damage should only be very acutely affected by weapon skill. Four 5.56 shots to an unarmed human should kill, regardless of weapon skill. Lower-calibre weapons should be more greatly affected by armor than mid or high calibre weapons. For example, a 5.56 doing 25 damage to an unarmed target might drop off to 20 damage against a kevlar vest. A 9 mm which also does 25 damage to an unarmed target would drop off to 14.3 against a kevlar vest. Of course, each shot would deteriorate the vest, which means the damage of subsequent shots would increase incrementally. Also, I'd like to see projectiles affected by range and gravity (As there are a lot of long, open sight lines in Fallout games). Again, lower calibre weapons should drop off in damage more quickly. The ballistics of different types of rounds should also be accurately represented such that a 9 mm parabbelum drops in height and damage more quickly than a 5.56 NATO (because it travels more slowly). Accuracy, recoil and rate of weapon deterioration should be the only things affected by weapon skill. Again, the ballistics of projectiles should be represented such that a 7.62 NATO is more accurate (generally) than a 5.56, and drops off more quickly (as it travels slower). Don't forget physics though, ALL items accelerate toward the earth at 9.81 m/s/s, regardless of mass or speed. The speed of a projectile simply means that the 7.62 will have dropped more than a 5.56 after 100 metres because it was traveling slower.

A shotgun, for example, should deal extreme damage to unarmored targets but almost none to armored targets. A 7.62 shouldn't drop off in damage that much after contacting an armored target compared with a 5.56 (because it has more inertia and can resist the armor's decelerating affect better).

11. Energy weapons. They need to be better differentiated from conventional weapons. Ammo should be significantly more scarce and expensive, require both a science and repair skill to craft (not just repair) and have different effects. For example, a plasma shot might not be affected by a kevlar vest (or ballistic vest) but only affected by metal armor. Perhaps some power armor would be equipped with a reflective coating (like MJOLNIR armor in Halo) to deflect energy weapon shots (thereby decreasing damage taken). Perhaps some power armor would have energy shields, that need to be powered by fission cells to be worn.

12. Some types of power armor should have built-in weapons such as rocket launchers and miniguns/gatling lasers.

13. Instead of hot keys, have a system where the player can equip multiple pistol holsters (for one-handed firearms), 1-4 weapon slings or gun bags (depending on level, for two- handed weapons) and a harness for larger weapons, such as rocket launchers and miniguns, up to a maximum of 10 total, to have equipped weapons. All other weapons are stored in inventory, and must be switched to a sling, holster or harness position to be used. For example, at level twenty, you might have two holsters equipped (there should be different types of holsters as well, such as ones that can attach to MOLLE webbing, drop-leg holsters, shoulder holsters, etc.. with effects such as better draw time, slower weapon deterioration) with an M9 and M1911 in each, a weapon sling with an M4 and a harness for a rocket launcher. I might have an AK-type weapon in my inventory, but in order to use it, I need to remove the M4 from my sling slot, and put the AK into my inventory. The equipped weapons will be weapons in slings, holsters and harnesses and can be accessed via hot-key.

14. Population/map size/economy/society There is no excuse for not increasing the NPC population and density tenfold, especially considering that the new consoles are coming out. Even if 90% are redundant, it would still increase immersion significantly. The map size should also be significantly larger, like ArmA 2 size, and there should be some mechanized component as well. Perhaps a large mech suit, salvaged motor-cycle or repaired military vehicle using parts from the wasteland, a 'minigame' to put parts in the right slot and a high enough repair and science skill. You would also need gas. The economy should be more dynamic too, sort of like Fable 3. NPCs should exchange goods even when the player is not in the cell. A place like rivet city should be at least ten times as populated as it was in Fallout 3, and Megaton would be larger.

15. Item names. Call the Chinese Assault rifle a Type 56, not a Chinese Assault Rifle. Don't call the "Assault Rifle" the "Assault Rifle," call it a G3. I would like to see a larger variety of weapons, and categorization of them. The game should be a distinction (for statistical purposes) between an Assault Rifle, a Carbine, a PDW, a Machine Gun, a Shotgun, a Rifle and a Handgun.

16. Craftable weapons: the craftable weapons, save for the shishkebab (which I think fits nicely) need some tweaking as well. I think a 60mm Mortar would be a cool craftable weapon, using materials found in the environment and firing salvage 60mm shells. A crossbow and/or a compound bow would also be excellent craftable weapons, with the arrows being interchangeable and recoverable. In fact, I can't think of a more fitting in the Fallout universe than a crossbow made with salvaged parts.

17. SPRINT, STAND, CROUCH, PRONE!

18. A city on the east-coast has to be the setting; the west-coast is too civilized by 2277 to have the sense of hopelessness, despair and suffering; encounters with barbaric factions. I think New York or Toronto should be the setting --the two largest cities on the east-coast. In Fallout 3, I believe someone mentions a place called "'Ronto," which I'm assuming is a reference to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. New York would be awesome because of it's sheer size and nostalgia: like DC, everyone can recognize places in New York. However, it might be unrealistic in the Fallout universe because, being the largest city in the USA, it would have been bombed to shreds by any competent Chinese commander. Toronto is less significant a priority to the Chinese, since it's part of a nation American merely annexed, not really America itself. Toronto and New York could present a very interesting opportunity for pathetic fallacy. Extreme cold and violent thunderstorms as well as extreme heat and cloudless days are weather patterns in both cities. I think Orlando, Florida is a good setting too, because of its proximity to Cape Canaveral.

19. Buildings. One of the things I hate about most open-world games is the abundance of buildings with no interiors. The downtown of whatever FO4 might be set in should be sprawling with indoor urban centres: malls, arenas, city hall, iconic landmarks, department stores, multi-floored condominiums, sub-urban houses etc.

Annoymous Wishlist

-17/28/2013-

1. I have only one thing to wish and has been on my mind since the beginning of my Fallout playthrough, a customizable player home. I think fallout should add in a heavily designed underground base. This base could be attained through a huge amount of quest (second biggest quest in the game next to main quest). The quest will include killing targets, finding hidden tapes, and making deals with people. The base could be like the Skyrim addon -Heartfire- which allows the player to build a whole base from his bare hands. Building the base could start in the beginning and by the time of the end game, the base will look generally finished. The base could contain countless hours of crafting objects/rooms which would include a full kitchen, armory (Ammo storage and gun stands), bedrooms for followers, green house, bedroom (equipped with secret storage), living room, and much more. You could also craft robots to do certain actions making the base feel more intractable. Another thing that would make this base so ingulphing would be the interactions within the base. Possibly the player could hire trading caravans (To working inside the base;in the armory) or hire guards to protect his base. All this would be acquired by building, making the player feel he accomplished something. In the end the base will be decked out allowing the player that feel. The base should feel homey, protected, godly, and futuristic, and over powered.

Base Should Include- -Hidden areas -Full Kitchen -Self healing area -Full Armory -Water purification -Intractable Objects -Area for followers -Full living room -Bedroom -Full green house -Aquarium -Home defense systems -House carol -Locable doors controlled by computer

- I would also like to see unlimited amounts of new guns and armor making the game seem endless. Every corner you turn there is something new and something more bad ass looking then what you already have.

An indie game maker

1.Make minigames or jobs like play pool, cards, defend the town or hunting. 2.Get better graphics for god sakes and make the centaurs less disguising those things make me quite playing. 3.Make it more realistic with marriage and kids that grow up and weather. 4.Better survival like you’d think you would have to go hunting or scavenging and raiding give us backpacks as well. More survival less mercenary jobs. 5.Transport just bikes and buggies would be nice. 6.Destruction I mean the place was nuked and you can’t even blow up a building 7.How about better endings and free roam when you finish. Oh and how about some cinematic that happen every now and again in a quest and no not the crappy one from fallout 3 in the end. 8.Cover mechanics and smarter AI would be nice. 9.Able to become a cyborg like a vampire or werewolf in TES. 10.Customization from armour to weapons. You could change the colour or camo engrave stuff into your gun I dunno get creative this game could be an awesome one. 11.Speaking of guns how about some better guns, not four guns that are all the exact same. A unique gun should look cool and different not get an assault rifle and call it bobs assault rifle. 12.House customization you know what that is. 13.NO karma it’s an apocalyptic world why would you care if I stole something and you didn’t even know. 14.If you have stealth skill why not make it really cool. You can actually do something if you get high enough stealth like stealth kills or climb on pipes. 15.The clothes should be actual clothes not armour it is not skyrim we are not knights. 16.More character customization. 17.Instead of build a town how about make your own little quarantine zone where your community helps each other survive adding to the survival. Survive bandit raids which happen when you start the quest. 18.Underwater combat and exploration. 19.If it has been like seventeen to eighty years after the war don’t you think civilisation will be rebuilding a little and grass and trees would be growing again? I am not saying the whole apocalyptic feeling gone but little forest areas. I mean it’s not like every new game made they re nuke the whole map.

1. Be able to have more then one equipped weapon. I mean I'd like to see a rifle on my back while shooting my pistol.

2. Armor customization, able to add your own colors to armor or something. Paint isn't all gone why can i paint my combat armor pink?

3. More variety in how armor looks to start off. Every leather armor shouldn't look like the same thing.

4. Area quests, quests that you can find just by wandering around.

5. Make any place you want into a home. And I mean literally, Why have a set home? Every other scavenger and there grand mother can make a home in the Wasteland why can't I? I like the feel that could happen.

Big926's Wishlist:

1: Emphasize the player v. environment interactions. Radioactive rain, blistering sand storms, etc.

2: Make the factions that exist have greater influence/control over the game map. I saw no reason to be nice to the Powder Gangers or Khans because I knew nothing bad would happen if I just went around shooting them on sight. Sure, I can't go to their respect bases, but beyond that, no repercussions.

3: Fix the morality system. I shouldn't gain morality points for chasing bounties. I killed Fiends like Cook-Cook for the caps, not for justice. The same goes for ghouls. If a ghoul comes after me and I kill it, that should not be considered a good action.

4: Blur the lines between right and wrong. It was pretty obvious in FO3 and FONV who the bad guys were. Honestly, if the Legion advocated order and stability at the price of freedom instead of crucifying people because it's fun, I would side with them in a heartbeat.

5: Fix the collision meshes. It is very annoying to get into cover behind a building or a car, aim, and fire only to have your shot hit the air above the cover you're using.

1) More vault, and vault history ect, it was enjoyable and fascinating.

2)Return the BoS maybe, but create new facyions, not just some recycled ones, like new vegas had.

3) Pherhaps a DLC telling us about China, or even bringing us there?

4) Maybe more in-depth character development

5) Make cities/towns and settlements better done, most were quite useless, with literally 1-2 quests, making them quite boring and un-important

6) More choices

7) Better karma system

8) Dont use Skyrim's levelling system, it doesnt really work with a game series like fallout.

9) Mixing armours, much like raider armour.

10) Other races may not work.. for example a android would be destroyed by radiation, A super mutant couldnt really enter buildings.. and as it says there's a low chance of ghoulification.

11) A survival DLC much like dead money, but not as bad.

12) Maybe some readable books

13) Anyone who says the radiation has cleared by now, is a complete cock, radiation takes ages to decay properly, Two hundred years would really just mean a more weakened yet wider spread radiation, and its unlikely more people are settling about - their fear and xenophobia of outsiders and raiders means they'll psychologically only feel safe where they lived.

14) Vehicles - No thanks.. There's a thing called "fast travel", maybe mounts yes, and sprinting yes, but as proven the only working vehicles as known are vetibirds, which take very big scientific and engineering knowledge of several scientists to activate and run.

15) Again on the BoS, maybe reveal what happened to the original BoS?

16) More real world locations :)

17) Better character design

18) Starting a town, maybe? however if you really want a town simulator, go play simcity, maybe a small ranch, or renovating a old office block for example, but lets be realistic.

19) Bigger map.

20) Smarter AI, the old one had the attention span of a brick.

21) Bigger choices, now I dont wanna sound like these fallout 1&2 snobs, that have some superiority illusion they played the original, I did too, but I'm not a total shit, but they have a point, choices need to have meaning!

22) Rastamouse

23) Developing on old pre-war stuff more, like more brands, and companies.

24) Maybe some better more branded weapons, I know there's mods for people who'd like a Uzi, or a H&K 416, but maybe just some more detailed weapons.

25) Closing up on the enclave once and for all, it's just like Jason of Friday the 13th, they can never seem to stop.

26) LIBERTY PRIME!!

28) It's a 18.. Why does sex, violence and other issues as slavery be so lightcore, when you buy 18 - you get 18, and these twats saying violent videogames cause you to go nuts blowing people's heads off - many scientific journals have disproved this.

29) More active environment and eco-system, like Skyrim but better.

30) Better Radio, just look at GTA's, interesting and engaging, not the same stuff over and over.

31) Maybe a dlc in Canada or Mexico.

32) Dont recycle dlc ideas.. anyone could see much of NV's dlc was recycled version's of fallout 3's.

33) What happened to Our character of F3 (For those with Broken steel), and NV.

34) Something like Broken steel, I enjoyed being able to play after the main quest, why couldn't I in NV?

35) What is good, and what is bad? How is helping the NCR become dictators better than taking one bullet? Who honestly is good or bad? It should be based on what you singularly do, not on what factions ask of you.

36) Actually joining factions, NV seemed to jump it on you way too fast, realistically you wouldnt be sent alone, both NCR and leigon would've protected you, and wouldn't have trusted you straight away.

37) Stuff to spend on, a very big problem for me, I bought every good weapon I could find, all the upgrades, and implants, played all the games, spent money on quests where such was required - but I find myself making more? So please let's have more spending options, or less money.

38) I know a lot of the more "hardcore innit fans", hate this, but the idea of a romance isn't as stupid as made out to be.

39) Development of other characters - if you give one a quest, make them detailed and relevant dont forget them straight after, make the player care and "give a shit", and not let them end up as fodder.

40) A fallout 5 of course ! :)

TheGamerTrainer's Wishlist

1. Add in weapon modifications. This was probably the best mod that got voted in on FO:NV. 3. More adult content if possible. Not necessarily sex though.

-Push You Downs list-

Etc.

3. Vehicles - add them but make them rare and vulnerable. I thought State of Decay did this well. There's a finite number of cars and they can only take so much abuse. Make it a big deal and considerable investment when a character gets a vehicle.

5. "dolly dress-up" - outfit customization. I liked Fable's format if top, pants, gloves, boots, headgear options.

6. "King of the Wastes" would be a good playmode perhaps separate from the main quest. You take over or create a settlement and recruit citizens, etc.

FALLOUT 4 WISHLIST BY JCKLVSHR

<<METAL DETECTOR>> An idea I think would be worth pursuing is the addition of a Metal Detector in Fallout 4.

Fallout 4 by anon

1.A proper more in depth story with entertaining side quests and misc quests. By a in depth story I mean something you can get attached to and it has a reason. For example New Vegas was all about vengeance and that is unrealistic for a courier in times like that. Fallout 3 had a decent story...if the whole story was about the purifier. I mean looking for your dad makes sense but come on I personally wasn’t attached.

2.More and better factions. I want to see a fallout game with a main side quest for the faction, I also want to see actual jobs to do like Skyrim when you keep getting contracts for the dark brotherhood. The brother hood better also become much better like in fallout 3 because in new Vegas I hated them.

3.Better character customisation. I want to see more options and I also want to see my character and other NPC’s look like normal not drug addicted people. Because every fallout my character looks good but he also looks like he just overdosed on psycho I mean its impossible to make his face look not wrinkled or smooth. You get what I mean.

6.Sprinting. Give us that damn sprint button so we can get away and or get to a location faster.

9.Sickness if you add normal clothes into the game and focus on survival then that could mean you could get sick because its cold one day and then its boiling the next. You would have to change clothes.

10.Backpacks. The new carry weight system you could also add to this with pockets and extra strap pocket things.

11.More perks more guns. And no not guns from 1880.

Ew!)

2. Drastic weather change

3. more need for a radiation suit/ or radiation detector

4. not big vehicles, but like motor bikes or bicycles

6. lastly, decreased human interaction and more survival interaction

What I DO and Do NOT want to see in Fallout 4 by Jambo11

DO want:

6. Dialogue choices that refer to significant past events/deeds: e.g. If I killed Caesar, I should have additional dialogue options with Joshua Graham in Honest Hearts.

5. Immersive Containers - Weapon/Armor storage that can display its contents, e.g. a gun racks and closets and/or mannequins.

Think of how immersive would that be to actually see weapons and armor that you have stored... To store it, you would open the container window. As it's sitting in the gun rack, clicking on it would bring up a menu: Examine, Modify, or Pick up/Equip.

4. Bows - Compound bows and crossbows. It shouldn't be too difficult. After all, TES and Fallout use the same animation files. Possibly, allow one to increase the draw weight to increase damage, which would, in turn, increase the Strength requirement.

3. Prone and belly-crawling - I want to be able to lay prone and belly-crawl. Crouch is...okay...but trying to sneak up on the gate guards at Fort Bannister is nigh impossible when one's character can't stay under chest-height while "Sneaking."

2. Give the antagonist a taste of their own medicine: Raise your hand if you wanted to stick a giant backpack on Caesar and make him lug it around. Raise your hand if you wanted to crucify Caesar and his little toadies.

1. Dialogue options to question the/an antagonist's motives: The player absolutely should be able to ask a slaving misogynist why they treat women the way they do, and why they enslave people, ESPECIALLY as a female character.

Do NOT want:

4. Immersion-breaking NPC dialogue: e.g. I just killed Benny while we were alone in his room, but the entire strip already knows about it. Even the Chairmen act like they want to give me high-five for killing him.

3. Repetitive NPC Dialogue:

- "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter."

- "Our guys put the monorail back to work!"

- "No monorail access to the strip? Where am I supposed to take my leave: Freeside?"

- Need I say more?

2. Useless icons - I despise useless icons taking up space in the user interface that could be better used for additional keybindings. e.g. the "Ammo Swap" icon and the icon in the middle. Get rid of them, so we can have 9 keys to ourselves.

1. Hardcoded keybindings - Absolutely no hardcoded keybindings

                                   =Ghostrider2539's wish list=

1. you have to scavenge for parts to build your guns 2. can build and fortify locations to act as your base 3. crafting like in skyrim 4. weapon mods 5. pre-war artifacts 6. drivable vehicles 7. customizable armor 8. weapon naming 9. more GRA-like DLCs 10. farming 11. scraping vehicles for parts 12. pre-war bunkers dotting the landscape 13. upgradable Pip-Boy 14. chemistry (like skyrims alchemy) 15. Weaponsmithing (Like skyrims smithing) 16. Perks like skyrim 17. Robot building 18. Marriage 19. old enclave bases 20. ability to build power armor 21. pack brahmins 22. Co-op mode 23. Ghoul masks and rebreather 24. portable water purifier 25. Mire-lurks 26. Bighorners 27. Playable ghoul and super-mutant races 28. fishing 29. Ruined forts, and armories 30. Better more fallout 3 like BOS

Jrsyboy's Wishlist:

Cloudstrife4life's wish-list Do want: 1.) Ability to remove weapon mods. Having a suppressed 10mm handgun in New Vegas can be fun, but annoying due to possible an ineffectual range. 2.) Dual wield Dual wielding handguns or sub-machine guns can be cool, especially if you mix them up. 3.) 2 humanoid companions at once, no more, no less Contrary to someone else, I hate choosing between either Boone or Veronica, they both have effective companion perks to give, why can't we have both? Deathclaws will be easier, as one of my characters, Boone and ED-E are no match for them. 4.) Vehicles travelling while over-encumbered with awesome yet heavy weapons is annoying, even with max strength and Strong Back.

Do not want: 1.) Repeating NPC lines That gets really boring, even after experimenting with character creation. 2.) Third person view It really irritates me when I'm having to watch YouTube videos involving third person gameplay. --Cloudstrife4life (talk) 11:37, August 23, 2014 (UTC)

--- Fallout Lover's Wish-List Dos:

Rugged and simple vehicle - perhaps a 4-wheeler that's slow and reguires limited fuel, but lets you haul more gear

Hard-core settings that are really hard-core. This should be as realistic as possible with realistic carrying capacity and fatigue. No one, no matter how strong he is, can carry 200 pounds of gear in any way and still walk around, let along run and fight.

Armor selection should be more meaningful. There should be legitimate reasons to chose light armors (faster movement, less fatigue) versus combat armor (good middle ground), and power armor (expensive, slow, and reduced agility for instance)

Reloading ammo in NV was great, but the fact that spent cartridges just appeared in your inventory was immersion breaking. When you get into a fire fight, have it randomly spawn a few mounds of spent cartridges on the ground nearby. Thus if you have to flee, you lose that resource.

True post-apocalyptic world. Fallout 3 was FAR superior to NV in this. NV didn't even feel like it was on the same planet. No big "countries" like the NCR or Ceasar's Legion. No major power players on the level of Mr. House. Everyone should be struggling.

Get us into a new region. The south-east would be a brilliant place to explore, with a combination of large cities (Atlanta, Birmingham, etc.) and huge rural and wilderness areas (swamps, forests, coastal prairies).

Better player housing, possibly with the ability to construct a variable house like in Skyrim:Hearthfire. Shouldn't be a mansion, but more variability than what you got in Megaton or the Lucky 38 would be great.

Weather. Especially in hard-core. I want to deal with freezing temperatures in the winter, or heat-stroke in the summer. I want radioactive rain that forces you to find shelter.

More dynamic environment where the player's actions result in changes to the world.

Merge Melee and Unarmed into a single Melee skill. There's no point in having both of them.

Merge Small Guns and Energy Weapons into a single skill. Yes, there would be some differences in maintenance and stuff, but that's handled by Repair. An energy rifle is no more different from an AK-47 than and AK-47 is from a 1911.

Livelier wasteland. I want more animals, even if they are background (birds and insects for instance). Even with vaults and fallout shelters, if animal life didn't survive the nuclear holocaust, man can't do so either.

More voice actors. I hate hearing Moira Brown everywhere. Even in NV, all the generic NPCs sounded alike.

Don'ts:

Swamp people. Not only were these people ridiculous, they were incredibly offensive. No other group of Americans would have been stereotyped in such a negative way in a Fallout game, so you shouldn't do it to Southerners either.

Super Mutant and Ghoul characters. Fallout is at its heart a game of human survival in a hellish world. Turning the character into something non-human erases that.

Linear plots. While Fallout 3 had a great story and is a far better game overall than NV, there was really only one way to complete it.

Let the player amass a huge amount of power easily. NV was practically broken in this regard with the ridiculous casinos.

The guild quest lines in Skyrim were some of my favorite things about the game and I was disappointed that their was nothing similar to it in Fallout 3 and I'd love to see it being implemented in the next title
