MAKING THINGS:
  +
  +
Second on the idea of piecing together armor. There should be more craftable items like FO3 weapons (and maybe scarcer regular weapons and ammo) but include armor and New Vegas' recipes (at least the basic fry up a steak to get rid of rads). Making stimpacks was convenient but well-balanced. Ammo recycling was cool, but (sometimes) part of the fun is running out and having to improvise. The ammo reloading seemed pointless and a pain, so I wouldn't want to see that.
  +
  +
MUTANTS:
  +
  +
Definitely should be able to turn into a ghoul once you hit the lethal level, although I would think the radiation could still affect you at higher levels, but decrease stats like intelligence, charm, and strength, but boost endurance. Once you hit a higher amount (maybe 2000 rads), you'd go feral and game over (or someone doing an experiment puts a chip in your head that makes you explode at that point, just to keep radiation poisoning working as a game mechanic.) It would also be neat if you had to help someone who was starting to change, or had been a nice responsible ghoul for a long time, but was starting to decline into feral state. Maybe another plot could be getting captured and turned into a Super Mutant (like a twisted version of growing up in the Vault 101).
  +
  +
LOCATIONS:
  +
  +
Florida (with abandoned theme parks) or New Orleans with Mardi Gras would be sweet. I picture Mardi Gras would be performed by some cult, so it would be fun at first (ghouls in silly hats anyone?) but a little creepy. It would be nice to see other countries, but perhaps they could make it an add-on just to see if the audience likes it before making a whole game of it. Maybe there's a hideout of American remnant ghouls hiding in some base in China like the Chinese remnants in FO3, and you could go there, so there would still be some Americana that many fans appreciate.
  +
  +
COMPANIONS:
  +
  +
I love companion quests (it's more satisfying than the gather me 5 of such-and-such and I'll give you caps) so it would be nice to have multiple quests per character. A romance option would be nice, though I'm not sure how open it should be (as in, could you romance any companion you wanted, or would only some be interested, like in the Mass Effect games? Sure, having limitations such as faction affiliation and sexuality would be realistic, but it was kind of annoying not being able to side with a favorite in ME.)
  +
  +
Having a Nightstalker filling in the role of dog would be neat.
  +
  +
OTHER:
  +
  +
Hardcore mode could use greater penalties. Even though it knocked down some stat points, I, personally, didn't really notice ill effects and it was an easy fix. What really impacted my strategy was any loss in strength (such as super stimpack sickness) when I'm carrying a lot of stuff.
  +
What do you guys suppose would be the next collectable after bobble heads and snow globes?
  +
  +
Also, they should have some kind of crazy weirdo who rides around on a mind-controlled Deathclaw, making grandiose threats. :)

This page consists of cool ideads that could be added to the next Fallout game or Fallout 3 for a new expansion. Anyone can add on ideas if they want.

Note: I meant to Fallout 4 ideas

Locations

Australia - Giant mutated koalas and kangaroos stalk the environment, killing all unwary wanderers(australia never did any thing to get nuked)

'Commonwealth- The next fallout game could take place in the commonweatlh, with supreme technology and weapons being used

Scandinavia would be sick nice to explore!!!

Canada- The diverse terrain and mutated beasts that could exist in Canada would provide a unique experience for players. NOTE: See "Fallout 4: Canada".

Europe- Hello there whats this all then?

Cuba wouldnt it be cool to see what happened to Cuba? It could be a really fun ADD ON Reply to The Master lives~

Englandforest of dean mutant sheep.

China

New York - Okay, I know people have said that this would be overused, but my friend had a fantastic idea for this. What if the entire game world consisted of nothing but the upper levels of NY? As in, what if NY had flooded, "Day After Tomorrow" style, and the entire city was now nothing more than the upper halves of the decrepit skyscrapers, and there were massive platforms (and rickety bridges, think "Temple of Doom") constructed spanning the various elevations, and an entire land of various towns, raider encampments, and just "wasteland" existed completely above the ground? This would also lead to an entire 3D map, creating much more depth and exploration possibilities. Also, in one of the expansions, you could go to Niagra Falls. That'd be interesting with the contrast of it's natural beauty, which has been completely ruined by the War.

Florida

South America - We could have contacts with people from Mexico and such.

Norway - mutated polar bears, anyone? Snow Guai! (Y)

Japan

former Anchorage front line'

Finland Mutated polar bears in sauna? ;P

Outer Space!- *blasts cyborg deathclaw away while flying a tie fighter* Hell yeah!

Deep South- Build off of Point Lookout and find out what happended to Louisiana, Mississippi, and parts of Arkansas. Maybe put the New Orleans ruins, destroyed Super Dome anyone?

California You could go to mulitiple citys, Los Angelas, San Fransico, and Sand Diego. San Fransico would have two large sides across the Golden Gate Bridge. In Los Angelas you could visit hollywood and fight or talk to Ghoul Clebs or Vally Girls. San Diego could be really destroyed, with mutated creatures, and almost no standing buildings. ~Liam12342

Sante Fe/Albuqureque Sante Fe is filled with stucco buildings, and trees in town. Sante Fe could be a little bit like New Vegas, to where Sante Fe was not directly hit by a nuculer bomb/s, and most of the buildings are still standing. Sante Fe is only a small part of the map, you can leave Sante Fe and explore the desert, and the small mountains. It would be great, but hard to program, if you could walk to Albuqureque (Sante Fe and Albuqureque are very close together) which would give a large map and much exploration. Albuqureque could have been directly hit by Nukes, giving a very diffrent varity of locations and enviorments. The worlds longest Tram is located in Albuqureque and it leads to a washington like cold forest. It would be interesting if the Tram was still intact so you could go to the frorest. ~Liam12342

""Mexico City"" In my opinion its the perfect place, large bustling industrial cities slums rich countryside THE OCEAN there could be some mexican mafia taken control over the city and they are abusing and making the people of mexico miserable you can choose to join them and eventually take over or lead one of the largest riots ever to overthrow them i dont know just throwing ideas out there. what im mostly looking for is a large destroyed city thats alot more closed quarters and not as open as DC i wanna be able to run through the slums of a city with burnt out buildings thousands of destroyed households collapsed in and broken down while around every corner is something terrifying and a constant threat thats what i believe is fun i was unbelievably disappointed when new vegas wasnt all busted up because to me thats what makes a fallout game very atmospheric and unique.

"""Open World America"""-About 75% of America and Canada avalable for the player to explore. The BoS trying to reunite all wastelanders and vault dwellers to get revenge on China by nuking them,(The boomers said they were rebuilding a B-29 bomber),and could scavenge a atom bomb from Area-51 which is protected by Secret Service Agents. But the plan fails when fulty wireing destroys the plane on a test flight.Meanwhile the Enclave is working on a prodject in Florida trying to get a space craft working so they can take over the chinese orbital launch station orbiting around Jupiter. While wastelanders are working alongside the NCR to fortify the coast in case of another invasion of the chinese.

Providence, Rhode IslandThe smallest state in the union has a bigger appetite for death and danger than any Player Character in Fallout. Rhode Island is litterally an island now and has walls protecting the island like Doomsday. Crazy-ass people live in the ruins of Providence now called Satan's Den and love torture, cannibalism, and terrorizing Massachusetts and Connecticut settlers. Dont worry Rhodies, Zachattak471 is making sure you're heard ;)--Zachattak471 08:44, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

New Orleans, LouisianaIf Point Lookout and New Vegas had a child, it be New Orleans. New Orleans now known as Gulf Hub is a gambling, prostitution, mob bossed run town bringing the South and Midwest and everyone from sea to shinning glowing sea come for a good time. The marshlands and swamps wasteland is filled with humanoided mutated gators, flightless, Jurrasic raptor looking feathered birds roam the open areas of swamps, and a three armed mutated Huckleberry Fin lol. Oh and Tobar the Ferrymans brother lives here, known as Omar the Fisherman lol again. A better story line on par like that of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout 3. Will get your emotions and sins going.--Zachattak471 08:44, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

Weapons

Grenade Launcher- able to fire grenades in your inventory. Uses the same loading mechanism as the Rock-it launcher.

Laser Based Sniper Rifle- High damage and really good accuracy.

More Gausse Cannons- Like a gausse cannon that would suit general infantry sort of usage.

Fire Grenades

Advanced Alien Blasters- Alien Gatling-Laser anyone? -"reply" no to powerful

Radiation Launcher- a flamethrower-like device capable of firing radiation at enemies, causing them to mutate or die. Can be made from a workbench using various parts.

Gas Grenades

Crossbows

Chinese weapons

Pump Shotgun/Trench Gun -They added weak Combat shotties and slow-firing Double shotties but no middle ground?

Chinese Sniper Rifles- Maybe a laser sight with steadier aim?

Elephant Gun- It would actually be funny if you had a big elephant gun and would have to hunt for .585 caliber rounds.

fireball launcher- it shoots...well, FIREBALLS!!!

The Tamer -A gun that tames feral ghouls and makes them fight for you.

Samurai Sword

Battle Rifle Class -Ar-15s,M-1s,Service rifle,Semi-Auto hunting rifle,ect.

a multitude of guns named after what the were called pre war nothing made up for example in new vegas they called the M249 Saw a light machine gun wheres the logic in that?

Apparell

Stealth-based power armour

Vault power armour / The Master lives~

New Power Armor

Geille Suits- allows player to become invisble when in grassy areas

Advanced Combat Armour

Mirelurk Shell Armour- gives high damage resistance exept from headshots. Can be made from a workbench using various items.

Commonwealth Experimental Power Armor - High damage resistance and Radiation resistance, Player suffers negative side effects from the bugs in the suit

Chinese remnants Enhanced power armor

Armor that is good without being Power

Chameleon Armor-Armor that makes you invisible.

Urban Clothing-Hoodies, Shorts and converse shoes.

Repairing clothing should make it look better"

Lots and Lots OF Gas Masks

Creatures

Flying Deathclaw- is there anything cooler than fighting a deathclaw with eagle wings? A handful of deathclaws could have drinken water filled with an experimental chemical to enables bird mutations.

Fire-breathing Horse

Sea Serpent-this is basicly a mutated killer whale.

Mutated Beaver

Mutated Whale

Mutated Fire-Spitting Pre-War Mother-In-Law Zombie Army -this is basically all the worst things i could get in to a sentence.

killer mutant sheep in the forest of dean or actuly the could be the next version of the games brahmin

Mutated Seals

Nuclear Corrosive Fire-Spitting Flying 50-foot tall Explosive Republican Ghoul 4channers - The single worst thing in the universe

Giant spiders- Obviously without exoskeleton because without internal bone structure they would simply be crushed by gravity.

Much more mutated creatures like the centaur but a lot more variations give us alot of WTF IS THAT?!?! moments

Chickens

Bosses

A water based boss.

Officer Killbot- A sentry bot who is the ringleader over all hostile robots in the area.Once killed you can reprogramm him to destroy most robots in the area, OR leave him be and you will be welcomed back in his base.

Commander Jericho- Leader of the Talon Company or other named merc company. Once killed, there is a less presence of mercs.

Lord Runner- Leader of the Raider faction. Once killed you can destroy the Raiders forever, OR become the new Raider leader.

Enclave all i could think about in new vegas was were is the enclaves?? hope fallout 4 will be more like fallout 3. we need more vaults (better vaults)and make them harder to find. need more boss fights and such.kinda like the master, calculator, the brain but make them really hard. fallout new vegas was to plain unlike fallout 3 wich was full of meaning and history in every single building. all about the details. and please for god sake give us the abilty to run!!! The Master lives~

Factions

Wateland Stingers- A group of raider like people but with awsome tracking skills, they wander the more barron parts of the wasteland in groups of two to five.

Red,White, and Blue Cross - A group of highly trained doctors. Descendants of red cross members. They travel the wasteland helping settlements. They are often times armed with a .44 magnum or a laser pistol

The Children of Magnum - a rather triggerhappy cult who worships a .44 Magnum in mint condition.could have a quest about stealing the magnum.mabe it could have super firepower.

Northern Rangers- Canadians who hold operation in the wilderness. They work on inventing a cure to mutation.

The Feinschmeckers - a group of post-apocalyptic snobs donning suits, top hats and .32 pistols.

Blade Runners -a group of raiders using knives and swords only. The leader is named Razor and carries an antique battle axe.

The Makeshift Men (also known as Macgyvers Clan) - a guild of traders and inventors specializing in producing awesome weaponry made out of junk. Responsible for the making of the "Knick-Knack-Paddy-Whack" (a fully automated meelee weapon made out of planks and a lawnmower engine)

Armageddon Angels - a sisterhood of post-apocalyptic women armed with pre war assault rifles and swords. They aim to clean the wasteland of mutant creatures and other threats.

Commonwealth - a faction that has supreme technology and weapons. Brotherhood of Steel is trying to form up with the Commonwealth to restore technology, but are denied by the Commonwealth

Brotherhood Of Steel Outcasts I would like for the Outcasts to play more of a role in Fallout 4. They can have outposts and forts all over the wasteland where they collect all the technology they find. Theey can have a plot line where they have gotten info from several scavenged vault-tec computers about a secret underground Vault-tec headquarters where their is reported to be a large stash of prewar technology such as: computers, weapons, power armor, and coordinates for a Chinese missile launching station in space. The location is not given on the computer, but rather a code must be entered to find the coordinates to the vault tec headquarters. The outcasts ask for you to search around the vault overseer computers in vaults in the area because supposedly 4 overseeers were given 1 number to a 4 number code. So once the vault was opened they would meet at a certain location and rebuild the country with the resources. Once the player gets the code they would be given a location uof the vault tec headquarters under an air force base. Once inside, the player finds many preservation chambers with vaultt tec scientists in them from befor ethe war. The player can ressurect the scientists and assign them to study with the outcasts and share their knowledge of technology in exchange for the Chineese missile coordinates. Once tyou have the coordinates, you can decide to either destroy the missile station or set up a retalliation launch directed right towards China. With the new technology, the outcasts dominate the wasteland and send out many "wasteland preachers" to teach the wasteland about technology and survival.

Larry's Liberators A group of mercs who aim to bring peace to the wasteland by wiping out the entire raider population. They have a strong belief that chems cause evil "radier-like" behavior and they try to collect chems throughout the wasteland and dispose of them. THeir leader is an ex-raider named Larry. He will pay you caps if you bring in chems for him to dispose of. A quest you can do is to colledct map markers of raider camps so Larry's Liberators know where to set up outposts.

New World Order- Remnants of the Enclave and descendants of Pre War politicians. They aim at using the wasteland resources to create a new government that will dominate the wasteland and restore the United States to former greatness. They have gotten their hands on an FEV virus that they are working on mass producing to slip into every water supply in the wasteland.

The place, commonwealth, since we know nothing about it. But again, the game focuses on american culture, I woulden't

wanna see the MAIN series in another country, maybe a spinoff like "Fallout:Europe" or something, but not in the main. And New York seems interesting, we've had San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas(New reno right?) and Washington DC, New York seems like the right choice since it is one of the more wellknown cities.

Only weapon I agree with is the grenade launcher and that's only becuse big guns have a small selection. Apparells, Advanced combat armour seems nice, but remember that damage resistance can only reach 85% and you'll get it eventually, so a new "better" power armour seems stupid, and a mirelurk armour..?

haha, nukalurk combat armour:D a glowing armour;P The Master lives~

About creatures, no, no, no, yes, no, NO. There are a couple of animals I would like to see though, chickens, birds, gecko's again, some form of fish which now walks on land, no landshark(too stupid), goat, horse, mountain lion and snake. Ahyea, and just ordinary lizards, as you can find lizard on a stick and eat, there should be small harmless lizards roaming around.

What if the main character lived in the woods and when the nuclear disaster hit his cabin and all the

woods around it was left intact and he and a group of survivers fought through armies of super mutants

to get to a vault. they have a stronghold that if they find enough savage and stuff they can upgrade it

-deathclawpoop

I can just see Fallout 4 set in Central Australia, yeah. A vault set into Uluru, & then nothing for a million miles. Great.

Maybe vehicles'd be a good idea.

Pararaptor 05:37, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Fallout in Canada or the commonwealth would be awsome.

I think it'll be in the Commonwealth. Anyway, I like the Fallout 4 Canada Storyline page, but this stuff is a bit too unoriginal. Too many of the names of the factions sound like they've been used already, i.e. Northern Rangers, Children of Magnum, etc. There already is a grenade launcher, it's called the Miss Launcher. Anyway, you could possibly set a Fallout in Canada, since it was annexed by the U.S. and probably had some Vaults. However, Europe/Asia/Australia would not work with the feel of the series. Broeman 02:17, 16 March 2009 (UTC) Check out Fallout 4: Canada'''

WRONG! Fallout is about how America was in the early days(excuse the pun), well the culture at least. If Fallout 4 happens anywhere it should be in America, but where? New York is an obvious choice but the idea is used up like a corner-side prostitute and wouldn't feel original in the least. Plus good ol' liberty city just doesn't have the feel for Fallout. Hmmm... A thought just occured to me, how about New Jersy? User:kill the overseer! 1:02]]

If Cannada has vaults then maby, but lets stay in america for now:) and if anything Norway would be fun:) The Master lives~

If you want Fallout to stay in America how about Springfield? Mutated yellow Trogs? D: hawr... kidding. I think Canada is a good idea, or maybe central-america if there's anything interesting. Flying Deathclaw is pretty unrealistic though. 217.85.231.115 21:35, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

I KNOW I KNOW!!!!!!!11111 how about new mexico, utah, or nevada you know desert states or colorado. maybe somewhere near NORAD. Fallout New Vegas already is

Here's an idea: "Mad Max Fallout"! It could take place in the desert redgions of the southern U.S. and you would have a car and be required to fight raiders over gasoline. If you lose you lose your gas, you lose any chances of survival. -Xandus the Legend umm NO!

But flying a vertibird over the wastelands would be awesome:D

Since the series ties in elements of 50's and 60's culture, and the music was a hit in Fo3, they should have more popular music from the period like Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, etc for Fallout 4. Butcher Pete 02:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

More music. I got bored of radio way too quickly JK1464 01:24, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

I just wish it would last forever.. Have like a 16 disc game set. I'll pay whatever they price. I never loved a game more than Fallout 3. FTW!!!!!

JAAA! il pay whatever toooo make a HUGE game we will pay whatever! and use you're time to make it as good as fallout 3:)

Some new locations is needed, perhaps more varied than the Capital Wasteland... I find it a shame that all the subway stations and run-down houses are so god damn generic, and much of the open world consists of rocky plains. How about a desert that is located near the highway? Love the Canada idea... Although this may sound patriotic, I like the idea of a Fallout game located in Scandinavia. I know that the Fallout games are based around the particularity of American-50's-the american dream-red scare-thingy, but Norwegian and western European culture was actually very much like that back then. Besides, nuclear winter is a thing that has never been taken up in the series, and Psycho-crazed Raider vikings with rusty battle axes made out of junk would be a killer (pun intended).

Dude, have you ever played Morrowind? Specifically Bloodmoon. Here is the best example: Thirsk(http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Thirsk). Note the hollowed out stump. Way to be original, Bethesda. JK1464 01:24, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Maybe an Europe-only DLC?

PS: The idea of a never-ending Fallout game is... so... Sorry, am I drooling? What i meant to say was: AWESOME! Perpetuum mobile FTW! AngryNorwegianDude 19:36, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

NEVER ENDING FALLOUT SHALL BE!!! Also, I think that Fallout in Scandanavia would actually be a cool idea. I would love to be able trek through snow covered forests at night, hunting down a giant snow guai. If there was a Scandanavian Fallout, I would like to see sailing as a major part of the game. Just imagine being able to shoot down raider boats with a minigun turret, or boarding an enemy ship and engaging them in close combat. This would also allows more use of water-based creatures. -Xandus the Legend

Yeah, but i think the Canada idea is better, because it actually IS a part of the US in the Fallout universe... Besides, the only "real" mutated beings who could be situated in Norway is lots of beavers, wolves and bears (ordinary, mind you, there are no polar bears in Norway) and giant mutant salmon. Canada would have much better wildlife and much more varied environments than boring ol' Norway... All that is here is pine woods and fjords! AngryNorwegianDude 09:56, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

-The Master lives~

WTF, norway isnt boring... it's filled whit ideas, like a mutated bear, mutated cats, eagles, Squirrels, foxes, wolves, elks and much more. and could have add on inn Spitsbergen whit mutated polar bears wich i saw someone wrigth somewere calling them snow ghuai, and what about mutated pinguins x). the raiders could be norse mythology style;P

Russia

with feral commies and a huge landscape to explore to see what the americans did to russia with weapons like the ak'47 and music with an russian accent.

But you also have to think about the purifier. it's making all the water pure which is the biggest element in fallout water so it has to be far away like I said alaska would be best it's far away, it's integral to the story, it's in america, it has a new element to it, there's probable cause for the BoS to be there that's very important to the fallout feel, and new factions can join Chinese, Inuits, and even vehicle to a certain extent anchorage is the last supply of oil in the world.Bolo33 23:15, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

I thought Fallout 4 in Aus. was a bad idea, but then I remembered... Drop Bears! Pararaptor 06:51, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Snow Guai wins the entire internet. Nitty 01:03, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

You know what I want? armour fragments. Like the oblivion armour system (greaves, gauntlet, etc) but i'd like to have individual parts of armours so left leg plating right arm leather patch. With this we could really get into that post apocalyptic feel of rag-tag cobbled together armour. Power armour might be a bit of a problem with this. As for benefits you would get get bits of the "enchantments" so you might have some rad res from a power helmet, extra AP from an armour and so on. I'd love to travel around with that kind of armour instead of all these full body costumes which take fun out of making costumes... well thats my block of text worth. Lord Snip...No, wait, King Snip!. 08:32, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

I agree with Nitty, Snow Guai is pretty much the best lol... Onipix Horrigan F horrigan 21:41, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

i think we should be a ghoul in the next one. and learn to build reinforced humanskin light armor. all stitched up like the ghoul mask but a whole torso arms and head. --The failure 22:21, October 1, 2009 (UTC)the faiulure--The failure 22:21, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

This would be a new kind of dress-up. We should be able to become ghouls but I'd rather start as a human or a snork. 81.234.140.17 09:15, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

I agree with the "never ending" Fallout concept. Not only would the game clock not have a limit, but there would also be developing quests, where the results of one quest (large or small) spawn multiple other quests, which would then spawn additional quests, etc. So what if it takes up like 40 gigs, we have terabyte hard-drives these days... And maybe these quests could give some insight into some of the unknowns of the Wasteland. Also, should you choose to accelerate Harold's growth, the Wasteland would gradually become filled with plant life again. Also, I think that they should do a Fallout on another continent, just for the sake of variety... Can you imagine what mutated anaconda's would be like? 128.158.1.162 20:20, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

I like the greande launcher having the same Rock-it launcher stlye mechanism,if you ever played RE% or RE Survivor then you'll know what i'd expect. The Daddy Banhammer.gif 20:23, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

If it had mutated deer that I could chase through a forest halfway across the map, then shoot it in the arse with an arrow, I just might be interested in FO4. 71.90.169.144 05:34, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

That's been done in Oblivion. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Creatures#Deer JK1464 01:28, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

No point doing Australia, most of its already a wasteland. Although the concept of a Chinese vault-style construction located in the newly-annexed Australia (who wouldn't want one of the most mineral-heavy continents as a vassal during a time of resource shortages... I know you can't run an engine on rare earths, but this is SCIENCE!). Maybe even call the vault thing the Forbidden City, that would be a nice cultural reference. Anyway, I think its going to be in the Commonwealth (way too many references in the current one for it to be missed). But more importantly... when? Because if they keep advancing the games timeline for each title, its not going to really be post-apocalyptic anymore, more pre-recovery than anything. I vote for a concurrent timeline, running at the same time as FO2. Long enough after the war to be a little developed, not so long after that modern-day references or landmarks are ludicrously well-preserved.--Ishotamaninnewreno 09:02, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Gentlemen, Fallout 4 shall be Fallout.......

  • points to sky*

IN SPACE!!!

Think of the awesome possibilities! -That Legendary Motherfucker

lets put seasons in it like nuclear winter and a nuclear summer autum and spring with each its unique quest's and animals radio active rain so you need to build yourself a shelter (or find one ofcourse)

MORE STEALTH: I didn't particularly love the Splinter Cell series, but I did love the stealthy tools and weapons, especially the whistling sticky cams. You could also throw objects like soda cans and bottles to distract an enemy. It's great fun to have a high sneak level and crouch using the Chinese Stealth Armor (from Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage add-on), but it would be more fun to distract enemies with objects, etc. One of the only weapons you can use to alert enemies to a CAUTION state is the grenade (frag, pulse, whatever). This alerts them and they run around with random dialogue, which is amusing. The Raiders I especially want to distract away from each other so I can mezz one with the Mesmetron and make him a slave (serves you right you murderous bastards).

Having the ability to distract enemies with milk bottles or other junk thrown across an area would add a lot of fun to the whole experience. There could also be instances where it's the only way to sneak past an enemy without doors locking from the enemy triggering an alarm (say like an old bunker or fort that still has the heavy metal doors etc). It doesn't have to be done the same way as Splinter Cell, but an added stealth aspect. I think a great thing Bethesda did with Oblivion before Fallout 3 is the spell you could use momentarily to go invisible. So, to see something similar like that in Fallout 3 was exciting.

...As far as other things like settings, I think New York would be cool, I agree. The US government is also in other places like Guam and Puerto Rico. Perhaps somewhere where the Enclave still has a strong faction, even if cut off from the Continental US (and a dead "President" Eden). Perhaps stronger Enclave technology and different breeds of mutants could be part of such a place. [lengjaihk]

I agree with being a ghoul. Like Oblivion, there could be an option to pick different factions or races. If you were an Underworld Ghoul (not feral) you would have an immunity to radiation (if not be healed by it) and maybe even Super Mutants wouldn't be hostile towards you unless you are hostile in front of them (the way feral ghouls act in when you wear the ghoul mask and shoot one). Ghouls mention in Fallout 3 that Super Mutants seem to consider them one of their own or just ignore them.

Another idea is the ability to join particular factions like Raiders, or the Outcasts (not just working with them but are considered in their ranks). You can sort of be a Regulator in Fallout 3, but I'm talking about a menu showing factions you belong to. [lengjaihk]

need more unnarmed and melle attacks. kinda like jayson bourn style.

My storyline for Fallout 4

it is parallel to the events of Fallout 3, and takes place around the same time as the Lone Wanderer's journey in Washington DC etc., but the game takes place in Canada with another character..

but first you play as a Canadian soldier, fighting the Chinese in Toronto, you go through about 40 minutes of playing as this unnamed Canadian soldier, but you find a baby on the ground, starts the creating part, after finished you take the baby and hand it off to a woman, who runs away with it, you finish the misison, but the unnamed canadian soldier dies at the end......

your character is a leader of a powerful hunting group starting with powerful weapons and armor, killing monsters and fighting off other enimies, however during one mission you fall off a cliff, and wind up in a jungle, you lose all your weapons, armor etc. and just regular clothes, you dont know where you are etc, and lost all your memories, there you start your journey etc. like the Wanderer did once he escaped the vault, going to neighboring places etc.

during the game there will be mentions by canadians surivors etc. of the Lone Wanderer and his journey in DC, there will be lots of talking about him

Final mission= you go to DC, and are tasked to kill the Lone Wanderer, you meet him and you fight the Wanderer, but the battle ends in a stalemate, and he explains who he is and who you are..... ... wanderer and the fallout 4 character exchange in a huge diologue before the Wanderer parts ways.........

good stuff guys.. how do you like my story

note= the baby the Canadian soldier finds, is not the main character, the baby is just the ancestor of the main character.......

What about relationships, i mean why cant you have a girlfriend or wife, its a RPG which runs on an amazing engine, they should have done this. Fallout an 18 rated full on goryfide RPG and it doesnt even let you have get it on with a woman(not even a kiss lol) they need to make it more real life like, add relationships extreme blackmailing kidnapping etc.

Well holy moses, the person who did the first block of ideas has a hell of an imagination...Anyways I'd like to see the enclave again, or at least have the option to be part of them (would be the series first time), I'd also love the commonwealth environment, full of androids and moral gray areas...or even better, have a game that continues a storyline, like the aftermath of the capital wasteland, or a return to the new california republic...that would be best, cause I'm not sure about this New Vegas game...in fallout 2 you had a new rheno where they where big shiny casinos, pornographic movies and mafia leaders, I wouldn't enjoy something like that to appear again.

Weapons? I'd like the return of technological small guns, like the pankor jackhammer, bozar and such. Also there should be plenty gatling lasers in technological places, it is hell to find one in the capital wasteland... It would also be nice to ride a vertibird and cause some mayhem with it.

I'd like the brotherhood to go back being just tech...saving the wasteland was enough work. Also they should have possession of the last arsenal of nuclear weapons, ready to launch in any emergency...that might be funny to tinker with. But please, no more vaults, I am sick and tired of those body piles holders.

And for the end of it all? for the good guys, the development of a new goverment, fair and just. And for the bad guys, nuclear hellfire for everyone, and you remain in the aftermath in a tiny preservation shelter, with a radiation free power armor and a fat man to explore your own destruction...these sociopath decision are what made every game in the series a winner!

IDEA 4 FALLOUT 4 NEW VEGAS

okey, this game is cmbination of fps/rpg but the thing that this game lacks is vision of gameplay, i mean that, probably many of gamers play the game in first person perspective and, you take alots of drinks, pill and other stuff and you can't see the effects, and other thing is when you're in wastelands and you wear a helmet, I want to see this helmet just like in metro 2033, so i can feel it, and maby ugrade it so it can give me improvment in vision, zooming, locating targets, improving and repairing helmets and other staff, the main thing this game lacks is gadgets, you just can't feel them in gameplay, i don't understand how this page works and who created it and does anybody reads it... so give me your toughts!

MY IDEA FOR FALLOUT 4

After wiping out the Enclave in DC, the Brotherhood of Steel send troops into the midwest United States to see if the Enclave's influence had grown there. After scouting the area and finding that the midwest is in even more disorder than the DC area, Elder Rothchild (Elder Lyons dies) commands that they start building military settlements to help the people there. That's where it begins.

Just like in Fallout 2, you are related to the Lone Wanderer and you are his son with Sarah Lyons being your mother. You go through tutorial quests to learn how to do combat and set your skills and special. Soon you are asked by the Lone Wanderer, who is made leader of your settlement Steelville, to find an old grain mill that can be used to provide a stable food supply. On going to the grain mill you find that it is controlled by a tribe of powerful raiders called the Black Plain. You find a terminal there and see that they plain to raid your settlement. Upon returning you find that it was raided while you were gone. Only 5 survivors are left. When asking one what happended he says they took a lot of citizens captives and burned down some buildings. You look into your home/town hall and find that the words "Come get me" are spelled out in blood. Their is also a holotape on your dad's desk. When listened too it says,"By the time you find us, your friends and family will be dead. For us to spare their lives, give us all of your technology; power armor, lasers, tesla cannons, all of it. If you don't, find a good place to bury 100 bodies." The survivors then task you to find and kill the leader of the Black Plain and rescuse the captives. For your journey, they give you an Assualt Rifle and ammunition, a scoped hunting rifle, some recon armor (you have not recieved power armor training), 200 caps, and 10 stimpaks. From their you just fight and adventure into the plains. You can have new weapons like bows and arrows, crossbows, tomahawks, shotguns, scoped hunting rifles and hunting rifles, dynamite, old tommy guns, and spears. Along with Brotherhood technology if you can find it. the main quest will be to find your mom and dad and rescue the captives. Center this around an area that doesn't have a lot of technological weaponary like DC.

I says they should add a Mafia crime syndicate type of faction. Grimy Pre War Trench Coats. Fedoras. And Tommy Guns. It would be hilarious. And they could be ghoul haters. You know. Cos' the Mafia hates ghouls. Interesting dialogue can be written. (Ba da bing ba da boom. What does that mean? I don't know!) Molotov cocktails. Mafia sidequests.

And um... A big map... A really big map, for vehicles. Travelling through the desert and stuff, exploring on vehicles. If that's not your thing, then we keep fast travel in the game.

More flashback sequences and punga trips. Or something similar. Commonwealth, mentioned a billion times, I'm sure most of us people agree on that matter, that the Commonwealth should be in Fallout 4. And uh... yeah, that's all of the top of my head for now.

Make the new Fallout different from Fallout 3. Like in New Vegas you have a completly different story which has nothing to do with Fallout 3. Put it between Fallout 2 and 3 and make it to where your a slave born to slave parents where you start your creation progress. Put it in Philadelphia, it has to be the same situation to The Pitt. When your 19 do a big escape mission in which you escape and end up in a little town built inside the Phillies Stadium. Have a reference to The Pitt! Make it to where you join a group of raiders who go over to the The Pitt during the cleansing of The Pitt. Make a lot of references to Philadelhia. Have weapons like old muskets (found in the muesum of history there), Uzis, crossbows, scoped hunting rifles, and all kinds of assualt rifles! At the end your character is shot by Elder Lyons (way before he was Elder) you go into a kind of last stand mode like in Call of Duty to where you pull out a 10mm and shoot two of Lyon's guards. In the end Lyons shoots you in the head game over. Have more super mutants who are meaner tougher and gray. Rifle grenade will be good too.

Put Fallout 4 in somewhere where there is a lot of water. I like the idea of boats. Maybe putting it in Boston and saying a bomb went haywire and went into the ocean and caused a giant tsunami so the city ruins are mostly water. It would replace cars if you don't like that. I would like more stealth and i want things like mountain lions and some kind of deadly creature in the water. Mirelurks get annoying after a while. But more shotguns and pistols in the game. But all in all what i'm saying is mega tsunami+Boston+boats+more weapons and stealh=Fallout 4

What about cats? They're all supposed to be dead, but what if some of them mutated into something bigger (and evil)? Canada would be a great setting, and they were near the USA, so with little changes to the enemies and creatures, it may be fantastic. Can you imagine a giant Yao Guai descending from grizzlies? Also, some parts of Canada may have been hit only by radiation. Mutated forests, invading what remains of cities, maybe even more deadly than irradiated post-apocalyptic deserts. The Enclave wouldn't be a strong enemy in Fallout 4: they lost their president and half of their army after the war against the Brotherhood in the Capital Wasteland. Commonwealth, however, can be a good substitute: they've the Hi-Tec equipment, the money and the cyborgs. I'd like to see some slow-but-powerful shotguns. Combat shotguns must be weaker but faster, but one-handed shotguns might be the same. And what about new factions like a Norse Fire (the fascists from V for Vendetta) style faction - obviously they might be less powerful-, or the return of (papparapa) Goalie Ledoux and his band of hockey players? Isn't Canada the motherland of ice hockey? About new weapons, i've only one idea: a prototype of a short-range teleporter, i. e. a weapon that use fission batteries to freeze for a moment the enemies. Fission batteries are not a common item, so the player shouldn't be encouraged to use it too often, and it may have some countereffects like stealth boy.

Shouldn't there be storms? I mean there should be a lot of dust storms

f

Africa: Mutated Elephants, Irradiated cheetahs, Feral Ghoul Tribesman, Evil old pyramids, mummies(Well, no.)

Terrain: Worse than Africa today, which will be very bad.

Weapons: Crappy.

In retaliation to the deep south location maybe have Mardi Gras too ChrisusEnnius

the next fallout game should have giant irradiated spiders and should possibly take place in another state or countyr

My idea is in the canada talk section , check there if you want to see it , cause my computer is going slow right now : (

the next fallout game should have a group of people called the purifiers. like the regulators, the purifiers kill bad people and non feral ghouls but ALSO try to rid the world of all the mutated creatures and abominations that threaten humanity(or good non feral ghouls, super mutants, etc). you can do quest for them ounce you reach good statis but you could get bonus caps once you reach very good status... thought that would be a pretty good idea.

Um they have already done that .. all you did was change their names ? a few ways to make fallout better:throwing mini nukes, nuke portable nuke missile launchers and in set in huwii

dude in fallout 3 the regulators dont go after creatures. just after bad humans or non feral ghouls. unless what your talking about is in fallout 1 or 2 because i have never played those.

I think that Bethesda may be visiting the East Coast because Interplay and Obsidian already visited the West Coast. I would not be surprised if Fallout 4 took place in New York or Atlanta or something. And I'm sure that they'll have tons of weapons to make up for Fallout 3's lack of weapons and Fallout New Vegas hardly obtainable weapons.

Oh, and I heard somewhere that Fallout 4 may be confirmed this year at E3. Has anyone else heard this, and if so, where?

More masonry

The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown, is a great book for inspiration for further about Fraternity, Companions and so on. Under Washington: because Dan Brown walks us there, deep under it - and around Dürer: a Mason and a key of the book - his artworks maybe could be used Newton: a Mason and other important figure of the book - alchemy and stuf, science

Destroy Masonry

Destroy all members of Free Masonry Kill 33rd degree's members one by one - 33rd are the bosses, like Dürer, Newton and more Kill Liberty Prime or transform him as you wish into other machines Kill US Army, starting with helicopters Kill Chinese Army Kill leaders like US president, Chinese president, and so on

More tools

A Notepad in PibBoy to take notes on the big uncharted Wastelands

Nicer image and sound

Fallout 3 was poor aestetically THX for the sound

As good as F3

War never changes - and it is why we play this game

Two new races Ghoul- Supermutants and feral ghouls are friendly 25% markup for items and a required license for fat mans, missle launchers, and grenades.

Supermutant-Supermutants, Nightkin, Centaurs are friendly, 50% mark up for items, and a license for all weapons

My Idea for Fallout 4

You start off as a flawed mercenary who was left for dead by his crew, and you have to crawl through the wastes of San Fransisco. This is how it goes, you wake up in a BoS Stronghold which followed the ways of Elder Lyons. You speak with the doctor, a Mister Gusty who is named Dr. Fix up. He asks how you are, and you get through you can choose to join them or scavenge the wastes alone. If you join them, they give you three quests before you can search for your crew, infiltrate (undercover), the Men of The East/Women of The West and destroy them OR find a non-violent solution to the problem, bring three new initiates to Camp Barron and clear the place of Supermutants, and infiltrate a vault and bring back three pieces of technology with a BoS Knight.Once done they send you on your way with 10,000 caps, a follower,a safehouse, Power Armor , and a laser pistol or rifle.

If you go off on your own, you must raise 10,000 caps, recruit a new crew, and get equipment, a safehouse, and a faction on your side to eliminate your old crew.

Here are the factions you can ally with KAG, Men of The East/Women of The West, or the Stars of America.

KAG-Enslave a group of Ghouls in a city of Ghouls, test out the new Taming technology on Feral Ghouls, and infiltarte the Stars of America and destroy them. Rewards-10,000 caps, a safehouse, a follower, and metal armor, and a Chinese Assault Rifle or Pistol.

Men of The East- Recruit 10 new members, Gather equipment from the BoS, and destroy the Women of The West. Rewards- 10,000 caps, a safehouse, a follower, leather armor, and a minigun or missle launcher. Same rewards from The Women of The West, and same quest as the Men of The East EXCEPT destroy The Women of The West, you would destroy the Men of The East.

Stars of America- Make the BoS stop the onslaught on them, stop the Men of The East and Women of The West from fighting each other, and resupply the Mongrowls with ammo. Rewards- 3 factions on your side, 5,000 caps, Mirelurk armor, a safehouse, 2 followers a deathclaw and mirelurk, and a deathclaw claw shooter or boatfly venom spewer.

You can develop relationships with other characters, wether it be friendly, hostile, or romantic.

Final mission- You and your other followers, and faction(s) are assaulting Fort Maccon, you battle through three floors, on the first floor your first crew member is met, where he says, I'm sorry we betrayed you, he kneels, and you can execute him or leave him be. Second floor, the coward of the crew is shown he starts crying and says he's sorry and he'll tell you the password to the boss's terminal to unlock his door if you let him go, you have no choice actually and once he gives you the password, you can kill him, make him come with you, or let him leave. On the third floor, you're done, you've fought through too many mercs for mercy, you open the boss's door, and he says, you were my best friend I never ment to betray you, but I had to, he says look at San Fransisco, you see many broken shops and such, he says I was going to rebuild it, at this point he says you need to show dark in your heart kill your wife (if you have one) or your best friend ( if you have one) if you dont have either you kill the follower used most often Or you can kill him and dont have all the wealth and renovation (You can still renovate San Fransisco, you just dont get the thirt thousand caps he was going to use, because he takes it to the grave)

Of course there will be side missions and many towns and such, and other side jobs like equipment runs recruitment jobs and even outings with friends or family.71.12.237.165

Dude, not to get down on your idea or junk, but that kinda reminded me of Mass Effect 2. A little. sorry. But umm, it seems like (like ME2) you get personal relationship power, but not decide whether your evil or good or not. Too linear for my taste. Sorry. But this is just one man's opinion. 67SunsetStrip 23:20, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

That seems like a pretty sound idea. I'm actually working on a huge mod for F3 that I think could be a good Fallout game.

Story: The year is 2287, hundreds of years after the fires of the Great War have burned out. The Commonwealth of the United States is nothing but a hollow shell of it's former Pre-War glory. Hope, however, does remain in certain areas. To the west....the New California Republic, attempting, and succeeding at rebuilding civilization in the west. To the East, the Eastern Brotherhood of Steel is rebuilding the old Capitol as a beacon of hope....in between. Hell. The bayous of the deep south run thick with radioactive sludge, the plains of Kansas spawn twisters miles high, but...there is one area that no scavenger dares travel. Caesar and his Legion tell ghost stories of the place. The area that was fertile plains...is now covered in glacier again. From Minnesota up to Canada is the Deep Freeze. Bathed in eternal nuclear winter. Batteries, conductors, anything that can project heat is as valuable as gold here... and it is here, in a Vault...where The Shadow's story begins. Vault 59...Vault Tech gave it a phony reactor, the average temperature is 40 degrees Farenheit when the lights are on. It is from there The Shadow is cast out, to stop the drain on resources. Abandoned, alone, in the expanse of white. You must defeat the invading behemoth of the unjust Midwest Brotherhood, defeat the radiation, and maybe...just maybe...find a way to warm up, the Deep Freeze.

Gameplay: The area would span all of Minnesota, some of the Dakotas, A portion would be occupied by Lake Superior, which would be full of rads. A portion of Canada would also be explorable. DLC could span the old Anchorage line, Grand Portage, and Madison Wisconson. Gameplay would revolve around staying warm. Armor with masks would actually be useful, because outside there would almost always be a white out storm, think Metro 2033. You can use batteries to make heat and stay warm, much like Lost Planet you need to remain warm to stay at combat efficiancy. Enemies could be mostly recycled from 3, except for Albino Deathclaws and other nasties.

The area you just described sounds good , but the new features just seem pointless, why do you need another timewasting feature like eating in NV , Get rid of the Dress up To keep heat feature and add more fun features and it might be a good game , Plus the Story is a bit poor , Why would anybody fight You to keep the place cold ? there wouldnt be an opertunity for an antagonist , And why would you try to heat it up and not just Leave the area instead ? Its just my opinion though :)

My idea for the begining of fallout 4

The opening scence starts with an explanation of fev and how it was created. It the progresses to a siege of vault 87 through murder pass with a massive battle going on, you are then given your mission by the lyons pride which is to go and destroy the facilitys being used to produce all the mutants and to hunt for the leader in all this. During this battle you succesfully destroy the fev rooms and the giant vats uses to store it. You then begin your hunt for the leader after being separated from the pride. You go deep into the vault when you discover none other than the master who you are about to kill when he uses his abilities to give u a massive headache when you are knocked uncounsious by the incrediable pain. You then have a dream of your dad telling you to wake up and destroy the new menace. You wake up to find yourself being held over a giant vat as it les go you hold onto the giant claw which begins to lower when the lyons pride comes in blows up the container rescues you and you faint to hear the classic sound of ron perlman explaining stuff and how "war never changes". You awake 2 days later to discover you have a tumour caused by the master and a mere 2 weeks to stop the master and the plans he has in store for the wasteland such as what theyve already done. Capturing all robots in dc by telephatpic powers and an almost succesful attempt at blowing up the purifier.Kill-da-mutant 23:10, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

My Ideas For fallout 4"

  • May more gore and more realistic gore too.
  • Way bigger map like 4 times the size of fallout NV's map.
  • lots more weapons and more diverse types too like explosive bullet weapons.
  • Should have more "funtoplayness" about when you don't do any quests just walking around the wasteland.

to all those who write about how they want the lone wanderer to appear in another game , You must understand that they cannot do that cause the lone wanderer could look like anything , plus there is the fact that he could be good or evil , we are unsure , and also do not write such linear storylines as Fallout is an open ended RPG and cannot simply end at some point , and if they ever did that they have rectified it (Broken steel) , thank you

R0ND0s Idea for a Double-barreled Magnum"

  • Shoots 2 Bullets at a Time, so just 3 shots.
  • Double degradation.
  • Other texture of cause, this is stolen from the Mysterious Magnum.
  • It's called TwoBad (Masters of the Universe ripp-off).

IwantThisInFO4 R0ND0 14:50, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

have more variety and less blandness in combat and have it take place in a more middle class place like the out-skrts of chicago or even new haveb connecticut

MAKING THINGS:

Second on the idea of piecing together armor. There should be more craftable items like FO3 weapons (and maybe scarcer regular weapons and ammo) but include armor and New Vegas' recipes (at least the basic fry up a steak to get rid of rads). Making stimpacks was convenient but well-balanced. Ammo recycling was cool, but (sometimes) part of the fun is running out and having to improvise. The ammo reloading seemed pointless and a pain, so I wouldn't want to see that.

MUTANTS:

LOCATIONS:

Florida (with abandoned theme parks) or New Orleans with Mardi Gras would be sweet. I picture Mardi Gras would be performed by some cult, so it would be fun at first (ghouls in silly hats anyone?) but a little creepy. It would be nice to see other countries, but perhaps they could make it an add-on just to see if the audience likes it before making a whole game of it. Maybe there's a hideout of American remnant ghouls hiding in some base in China like the Chinese remnants in FO3, and you could go there, so there would still be some Americana that many fans appreciate.

COMPANIONS:

I love companion quests (it's more satisfying than the gather me 5 of such-and-such and I'll give you caps) so it would be nice to have multiple quests per character. A romance option would be nice, though I'm not sure how open it should be (as in, could you romance any companion you wanted, or would only some be interested, like in the Mass Effect games? Sure, having limitations such as faction affiliation and sexuality would be realistic, but it was kind of annoying not being able to side with a favorite in ME.)

Having a Nightstalker filling in the role of dog would be neat.

OTHER:

Hardcore mode could use greater penalties. Even though it knocked down some stat points, I, personally, didn't really notice ill effects and it was an easy fix. What really impacted my strategy was any loss in strength (such as super stimpack sickness) when I'm carrying a lot of stuff. What do you guys suppose would be the next collectable after bobble heads and snow globes?

Also, they should have some kind of crazy weirdo who rides around on a mind-controlled Deathclaw, making grandiose threats. :)
