I think and i know Ausir thinks this as well that fallout 4 will likely take place in the commonwealth area which is refrenced numerous times in fallout 3 e.g the replicated man/harkness/armitage/zimemr. anyway i expect we will play as an adroid policeman just like harkness and we will begin to want our own life so we escape the institute find a doctor who does facial suger this will allow use to pick of attributes appearance skills and gender ect,we will then learn there are many factions fighting to obatain acess to the institutes advanced technology The factions i think they should add ara RONTO which is meant to be a major military power as of 2077 the railroad help them free the androids and i hope they bring back the midwestern brotherhood of steel maybe they send their forces to captuture the institute for tech so they can reclaim thier lost power as one of the scibes said in the citadel their only a small force now not the empire they once wear i miss those facist bastars their power armour was cool so do you guys think the commonwealth will be the setting of fallout 4?

Also who likes the idea of the commonwealth police having black leather trenchcoats like in blade runner?kaminoman

Hopefully any Fallout set in the Commonwealth can stand on its own without the freaking BoS, Enclave, or Super Mutants. I would think it would be something of a Blade Runner meets Exosquad scenario. You get your start looking after rogue androids and then decide which side of an android revolt you want to be on. You'd probably get to decide at some dramatic point if you yourself were an android or not. I'll backtrack a bit and say the BoS should be a lingering background threat that factors in to various calls to reason: "We need to resolve this peacefully or the Brotherhood will be picking over our carcasses for spare parts!"--OvaltinePatrol 18:21, December 21, 2010 (UTC)

If there are no Supermutants, then there will have to be a bunch of Raider gangs running around. Something's gotta fill the wasteland. MoonshadowDark
There have been near and nonhuman intelligent threats used or proposed. Raiders also need not be so generic, they could be made more distinct: Lord Humungus's group from Mad Max 2 is a lot different than Ben Wade's band from 3:10 to Yuma or the veritable army of roaming bandits in Seven Samurai.--OvaltinePatrol 16:12, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
