I obsessively collect toasters, currently I have probably spent about 1,000 caps on them and I have about 20 of each.--70.178.128.248 19:07, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

I am attempting to collect pre war money. I once had 60 but I sold it before I started collecting =(. Does anyone know where I can find more money and carton's of cigarettes? Matt 16:43, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

I seem to obsessively collect the large Cigarette Cartons - I have about 50 or 60 and they sit in a big pile on the floor. I once tried to make a makeshift table by stacking them neatly but that was an exercise in futility as it is near impossible to make everything nice and square.

I also collect pre war and skill book - they are also in a pile on the floor.

62.49.114.162 10:53, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Jimeee

I have about 12 pre-war books, but they are stacked nicely, in piles of three, on a table. And i have a pile of 18 cartons of cigarettes that is higher than Fawkes.

No not one item, all items. In fact, the mailbox I use for storage (at the spawning point in Springvale) probably contains 80% of all movable objects in the game. Ash Nuke AshRandom (Talk) 17:56, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm the same way (although not nearly to that extent- 80%!!!), except I use the Raider House south of Alexandria Arms as my base because it has so many different storage devices. There's the gun cabinet, the 3 safes, the footlocker, the fridge, the lockers, the regular safe under the desk, the first aid boxes, and on and on and on. It's also got a bed and a workbench, which makes it the ideal home base. Sometimes when I get bored, I go "home" and spend some time reorganizing everything (gunslinger guns in one safe, energy weapons in another, rifles in another, big guns in another, explosives in the fridge, addictive chems in one first aid kit, non-addictive chems in another, crafting items in the footlocker, misc. junk in the plain lockers, etc). seeing as im working on a mini fallout 3 show,i have been spending time collecting books and forming a library in tenpenny tower, also, seeing as the mini show will be role play style,i have to sue the infernus in order to make it work, ive also made 3 characters profiles, if you want them, just ask

Pencils... Friv 04:06, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

They're pretty much the perfect junk item for collection: rare, hard to see, weightless and totally worthless, even as Rock-It-Launcher ammo. And you can start your collection even before you leave Vault 101.

I pretty much collect everything except cans. I'm a packrat, and I find the game so easy, I'm level 17 and have only used 30 stimpacks, so I have over 200 in my inventory, I sell cigarettes, but I have about 50 rscorpion glands, and tons of abraxo. For the first half of the game I didn't think the toy car would be used by anything so I only have like 10 of them. - Ashran111 05:37, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

I collect nukacola, last count i have 168(ish) in my machine in T/tower, i also have a BIG pile of prewar money in T/tower as well --Skyvia 11:15, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

13-ball and only 13-ball --Nux Matrix 17:05, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

I collect teddy bears and garden gnomes! I have around 30 garden gnomes and around 50-60 tedddy bears including the giant on at the red racer factory. I have them all piled on the bed in my Megaton house.--Ghouliegirl 01:37, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Hahaha, same here. Other parts of my house are decorated with food and mini nukes, respectively. 131.188.120.74 15:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

I save all teddy bears and balls (baseballs, pool balls, basketballs) :) Dragonalumni 05:22, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

I LUV PRE-WAR MONEY! User-KTO!

Pre-War Money, Nuka-Cola, food items, and cigarettes. PlasmaFox 16:46, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

the kid inside me makes me collect toy cars and nuka-cola did have a display of toy cars on my first playthrough both of the downstairs megaton shelves near the fridge were cowered --Killer of death 23:37, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

I collect garden gnomes. I have them in a little circle all around my Megaton house's first floor. All 18 of my little wooden friends. OK, not really, but I should try that on my next playthrough of the game.--72.65.223.28 21:34, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Sugar bombs,
(!!!!) during the beginning of the 'Blood Ties' quest I first spoke to a Ghoul-scientist who was working on creating the UltraJet formula( i think it's pretty useless..only a +20ap in contrast to the original Jet ). I believe he needed 30 or some Sugar bombs for him to complete his recipe, however during my last run.. I far exceeded the number of sugar bombs he needed to complete the recipe. But he ends up buying them, and any surplus you're carrying--So long as you do it all in one transaction. I'd imagine there's no limit to the amount of caps you can get from him ( unless you can no longer find sugar bombs or you can't carry anymore )

Scrap Metal! I got into the habit of storing it all up and giving it to Winthrop in exchange for Stimpaks, Rad-X etc. I like the Ghouls in the Underworld, I do a lot of trading there :) It was also a safe place to crash until I got my own place to sleep and store stuff.

Emjay81 01:15, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I "obsessively collect" deathclaw hands. I see them as trophys for killing the second toughest enemies in the game, second to behemoths, so I collect as many as I can, I currently have 50 of them, I would have more, but farming old olny gets old. I have also been collecting NukaCola (regular and quantum, though quantum is reasonable), and purified water, the three of which I store in my pristine NukaCola machine in Megaton, I don't ever buy the nuka though. I wonder if you could say its "obsessive" to collect caps and never actually spend them.--Sotanaht 08:12, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

I never spend my caps. Its a point i make to collect as much of them as i can, anytime i need somthing from a shop i just trade crap items, and when i do trade with a shop i'm always taking all there caps. I collect all the Nuka-cola, and I collect 1 of EVERYTHING. --NeoScott 17:30, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

I collect the weapons and clothing of my enemies and store them in my megaton house(which serves as my personaly armoury)Werewolfhell 18:44, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

I collect sensor modules so i can trade them for stinpaks with that outcast guy at fort independence. its a good deal i have 500 stinpaks mostly because i collect sensor modules...

I started a liquor cabinet in a locker of My Megaton House. 'Tis a shame that there were not more varieties available within the game. Gin gets no respect these days... 208.103.249.165 03:09, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm a Teddy Bear Man! Check out the Teddy Bear Page, that's my megaton room. I've now got both giant Teddies! How sad!! I've also got 200+ Ice cold Nuka Colas in the vending machine. Gunner Bill 13:31, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

ARE YOU GUYS CRAZEY?! YOUR SITTING ON A GOLD MINE Cartons of cigerettes are 50caps apiece Ice cold nuka colas are 20 Stimpaks are 35 Teddy bears are 10 Vodka is 20 you could repair raider armor to 100% for 180 pure water is 20 and you could get about 5 a week from your robot butler Pre war money is 10 apiece and radscropian glands are 30

Think of the money! and you could spend it all an mini nukes at flak and shrapnals who have an average of 2 every 3 days for 250 caps

RaZ0R3312 Feb 16 09

Teddy Bears are all over my bed in my Megaton house, too. I have chessboards as a floor tile border, and I've been stacking paperweights next to my Bobblehead Collector's stand. And Nuka-Cola trucks everywhere! thecrystalcrow 2.18.2009

I collect fingers and ears, and occasionaly use the console to spawn someone in my suite and *ahem* "operate" on them(brutal mutilation" Werewolfhell 16:58, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

pretty much anything that has a good value (value-to-weight over 10) but everything i pick up that i cant use i just sell.TheoQ99 00:49, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

OH geez, don't get me started! NUKA-COLA'S I has 261, and I also collect .44 magnums!!!! ^^

i have about 39 boxs of Abraxo Cleaner in the spare room of my megaton house (because im not eveel) and near 90 doses of jet in the kitchen. and the whetstone from behind the scrapyard office.

--

I collect all manner of pool balls, baseballs, basketballs. Pencils and single cigarettes litter my desk. Also I didn't buy a theme for my house it'd stay dark, and I have a glowing shrine of quantums and alien power cells, with lincoln's collection incorporated. My bed has a 300-strong pre-way money pile, you know, just in case capitalism kicks back in. Bubblegum and gum-drops on the desk also. Oh, and a pile of mutilated body parts, with the odd whiskey bottle poking out here and there. Over 200 ice cold nuka-colas. Of course anything slightly rare has a place in my home, dog bowls, tin plates, toasters, irons, two wood chippers. Why doesn't my house have a toilet? With a male character it wasn't a problem, sink's fine, but you can't expect a lady to... well... Speaking of sinks, I have about 12 sporks in mine. 15 or so spatulas. The list goes on, it's fun to collect!

--

I see I'm not the only one obsessively collecting Pre-War Money. I don't have very much though, but I never sell them and pick up all of them if I can. I put them on my bed so I can sleep in money ^^, -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 19:52, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

I'd have to say that I collect scrap metal obsessively. Even after I trade it in to Protector Casdin I just end up stealing it back. I would have to say I have upwards of 325 scrap metal just waiting to be traded for more stimpacks/rad-away/frag grenades, of which I've got 300, 150, and 200 or so that I guess I unintentionally collect.

I collect anything that isn't nailed to the ground. Mostly pre war books, skill books, chessboards, intact garden gnomes, gatling lasers, giant teddy bears, regular teddy bears, Nuka Cola trucks, Nuka Cola, pool balls, baseballs, laser rifles, Nuka Cola Quantums, etc, all of which I tend to tack neatly in piles on my floor in my TPT suite. In my Nuka Cola Machine I have: 50 pieces of Strange Meat, 10 Strange Meat Pies, 50 Sugar Bombs, 5 pieces of Human Flesh, and 200 Ice Cold Nuka Colas, and 10 Quantums. Yes, my character is a cannibal. And I also randomly kill innocent people with no good reason at all. I have a Nuka Cola "Shrine" of sorts around my vending machine, and I have large amounts of plates with strange meat pies on them strewn around my apartment. My table is covered with all sorts of weapons, and in my safe is anything having to do with "Tech" like the Alien Blaster, T-51b armor, any thing unique and technology-related. That's about it actually.Addicted2Beer 00:30, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I collect pre-War money like most of you guys, but I usually sell it. never thought to stack it on my bed. great idea. What I do that does involve my Megaton house though is decorate it with the extra weapons I find. In the early game when I found my first Scoped .44 I stashed it on the second shelf of the long short bookshelf in my house, right under my missile launcher and three missiles. I have a couple of hunting rifles propped up on stuff, and a Fat Man propped up on the lockers. I tried to put mini-nukes in the wooden boxes but the physics thwarted me so I stood 'em up in the shelf. There's also combat armor and a helmet next to my bed, with a sawed-off under the bed. (Just in case ;) Oh, and I filled a random bus to the top with Mole-Rat meat. I'm not sure why.

Lol, on my next playthrough i think i will obsessibly collect pre-war money and put it all around me house. I WILL BE RICH!!!! i think i will also collect super mutant masters head. i will just use my trusty ripper and carry their bodies the whole way back 2 my house.Silent.Killa78 ;)

161 forks and still going. nuff sed

I collect deathclaw hands (54) as trophy and packs of cigarettes (59), liquor (30), and pre-war money (12) for fun. The reason for the low amount of collectable money is that I have been selling it until recently. I have recently begun a harmonica (3) collection, but collection is slow. I also have been collecting food and putting it in my fridge. -Xandus the Legend

Oy, you guys are big collectors.

I collect all sorts of unique items. I have all but one type of vault uniform for one.

However, mainly i collect Cigarettes. Although sometimes to sell, I make sure Jericho has atleast 10 cartons on hand. Never know when your gonna need a smoke.

I'm trying to collect tortishell glasses, but they sure are hard to find. I collect Nuka-Cola trucks too. I also collect skill books I don't want. Never know when a Chinese stealh book will come in handy at level 100 sneak. You never know...Lostsin 04:01, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

I always have the pre-war money on my person, because it's weightless and is a quick form of caps whenever i need it, collecting i guess..technically. But that's what everyone does I'd assume.
My most recent collection however, is a filing cabinet that consist of about 7 outfits of sexy sleepwear including the naughty nightwear. Please don't ask me why....
My desk is also full of all the Prize Vouchers I think..

Me Colin. Me big nasty bringer of much badness. Me got Gnomes in living toom and a bed piled with Teddy Bears. What? GhoulieGirl got same?! Colin sad. [sniff...massive shoulders slumped, the big lunk lumbers off, muttering...]

Wow,impressive! Me, I am obsessed with caps. I even have this strange system I use with the traders a catabury commons . So far I have 42000 caps. NOt much for a collection, yet. Almost every time I go to the tradewrs I get money back after reparing AND buying ammo. I like to go to besheda ruins, kill all the raiders from where I spawn in fast travel (no going in buildings, it takes too long), collect all thier stuff, go back to the commons, sell the stuff,

then wait 24 hours, and repeat. Its a good way to make 100000 caps. David the dragon 18:36, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

On my evil char over the weeks I have been collecting anything that says money and power, the floor of my tenpenny suit is littered with pre war money and single ciggaretes! Well, I collect everything you can get money/xp for. Used to collect Cigarette Cartons, and with one character I always take the hands from the Deathclaws, as trophies. Also, as a sidenote, everytime I see the words "Scrap Metal" I immidiatly think of the song "Black Metal" by Venom, except with "Scrap" being sung instead of "Black". I don't even like the song :P --KillerIsMe 17:30, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Scrap metal, and anything shiny, i store all the shiny stuff in my house at the robot repair center and all my scraps i use to make ammo at the mill.--Bayonetta 18:25, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I just started on pencils a bit ago and keep them in my desk (have about 40), plus ice cold nuka cola (140-ish) that for some reason I started keeping in the filing cabinet in my bedroom (Megaton) Wvurxgal 00:28, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

I obsessivley collect scrap metal and pre war money :P and harmonicas when i can find the, although its hard too.

I like to collect Scrap metal, and things that a person would need to survive in the wastes.

I Collect tin cans and stack them into pyramids! then I use them as target practice

I neatly line up Damaged Garden Gnomes outside my Megaton House. It's more welcoming and reflects my wussy/nice attitude of "Jesus Wannabe of the Wastes (who blows heads off as a hobby)". I keep the Intact Garden Gnomes for the inside of my house, and arrange them to recreate "normal activities" (two playing chess, one fixing equipment on the repair table, some cooking in the kitchen, a few dancing next to the jukebox, one playing with dangerous chemicals, etc.) I know, the wastes are a lonely place. --SpaceZombieMoe

i collect teddy bears i have almost a hundred on my bed and i just cant give them up to the baby. i also collect nuka cola (250). i sorta collect gnomes and nuka cola trucks. if im overcumbered i'll get rid of it tho.

Here we go. My home is in Megaton Every single Teddy Bear and I throw them all over my bed because they're so filthy! All packs/cartons of cigarettes. Every bottle of Nuka and Quantum. Most bottles of Alcohol except Scotch, I get every bottle of Scotch because I luv it! I put them in random displays, I have one of each alcohol and a shot glass on a tray on my desk for the Earl Morning Alcoholic in me. I have about 30 packs of cigs laying around in random places i visit in megaton; half in my house. I too collect every lawn gnome for display outside my house. In the other room I have every single piece of Mangled Limb, Arm, Torso, Leg, whatever. I have a bloody mess piled on the floor in that room. Why? Gonna Starve them Supa Muties to death!! I have a mini pool table setup on the floor outside.. I have one of every gun setup on the shelves and in the metal lockers (in the empty holes) I collect most of the food I find and shove it in the fridge. Gotta survive the Second Coming of Atom! Yeah I know I'm freaking insane! ~Jessterr, 210 hours on Fallout 3, posted July 18 2009

i collect lunchboxes and nuka trucks. i've started filling my bathtub at tenpenny with prewar money. The cheat 08:32, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I got into the habit of collecting teddy bears... then i got into abraxo cleaners cuz of the nuka grenade.... i also love collecting chinese assault rifles, got about 140 of them( makesmy inventory so slow!)--BloodOmelet 21:09, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

I collect Cartons of Cigarettes, Packs of Cigarettes, Empty Whisky Bottles, etc. Anything to make my character look like a chain-smoking, liquor drinking badass. The extra room in Megaton, the one right next to the bedroom, is completely filled with these items. Over 150 empty whisky bottles, 120 cartons of cigarettes and 170 packs of cigarettes are in this room. Also, I have 20 ashtrays laying on the table in the corner of the room. It makes the game lag for me every time I enter my Megaton House because there is so much crap laying everywhere. ~ Unholy

Metro Tickets. Don't ask me why, but you never know, one day the BoS or the Enclave will rebuild the metro system in DC, i just want to be prepared. -Drop-Zone-

I collect paperweights, so long i have 22 (interesting thing, i'm Polish [which is why i hope to become a bureaucrat very shortly :P] and i'm speaking English relatively good i think. However, i just dont' know what-the-hell the "paperweight" is. When i first met this item, i dropped it and wondered for over 10 minutes, WTH is this. Since i not bother to check it in dictionary, i still don't know what it is.) I also collect weapons (i have a FOOK and CFW mods installed). There are a !%#% %#!%@ &@# ENORMOUS amount of different weapons and ammo in this mod, and i barely remember 10% of it. The only term for weapon to be stored in my home (Tenpenny, why everyone save that filthy disgusting Megaton?) is to be at 100% condition (so i repair them before placing them at honorable place). In the result, my apartment has turned into an armory. Once i've made a full list of my pistols:

  • 2x Heckler & Koch P90 (for some reason i really like name "Heckler & Koch", like "Herzog & Rothman".)
  • 4x Wattz 1000 Laser Pistol (extremely weak but looks nice.)
  • 1x Glock 90 (useless extremely "regular" pistol, valuable only because you have to fight over 2000 enemies before you'll find it)
  • 1x Colt Frontier (useless, but somewhat common)
  • 1x Colt Peacemaker (useless & rare)
  • 3x .44 Desert Eagle (these three are all i've met, i repaired them with scrap metal because they're EXTREMELY rare)
  • 1x .223 Pistol (nice pistol, i like to carry them - the only minus is their ammo)
  • 1x Heckler & Koch MK 23 (other weapon i like to carry)
  • 1x M1911 (rather historical value, seriously.)
  • 1x Sig Sauer 14mm Pistol (pretty rare amunition and pretty rare pistol, but not as rare as Glock 90)
  • 3x S&W .14 Magnum (magnum, yay!)
  • 3x S&W Scoped .14 Magnum (scoped magnum, yay? it would really cause user to hurt...)
  • 1x Beretta 92-F (there are tons of "worn" version, to find clean Beretta i had to kill like 100 raiders)
  • 1x AE99 Laser Pistol (regular laser pistol, thus useless)

And they're only pistols... don't get me started with the rest.

Oh my god. I'm a master junk collector. I have 40k caps so i dont sell much... but anything worth giving to a special NPC or has a special use i dont collect (teddy bears for marie, scrap metal for ammo press, component items). But i have TONS of junk. I BUY JUNK, FFS. I have over at least 50 of every item in the game (except rakes, only about 25, and blue pass cards, 36. red pass cards? 76. They spawn often on corpses for being such a "rare" item. Also, i have less than 40 of each "mutilated" item). I probably have all the cigarettes. Over 200 cartons, 300 packs. 500 tin cans, 120 empty soda bottles, 70 metro tickets. And, like Unholy, i have tons of stuff to make my character look like a chain-smoking, liquor drinking badass. Over 200 empty whiskey bottles, scattered all over the floor, ashtrays every where, Vodka, Scotch, and Wine assorted on the shelves in the kitchen, and all 66 of my single cigarettes littered all over.

I like playing with my junk (thats what she said, i know), i make mini target practice areas on the second floor between the lab and the infirmary, I made a weird cylinder out of 40 (i think) individual alien power cells. I made a domino type set up with like 90 abraxos that ran from my house down the ramp that lead to the bomb. I spent an entire day with that =D

In short: You name it, i probably have a shitload of it. Except i only have three pots. Extremofire 04:29, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Dude your collection completely blows my character's collection to shit. :D I am honored by the amount of random crap you have lying around. The Abraxo cleaner thing sounds awesome, but isn't it hard to maintain it? You'd think all of the idiots in Megaton would constantly knock it down. ~Unholy

My Megaton house is filled with just about everything in the game. I have a repair skill of 100 so I keep fully repaired weapons and clothes in the locker on the left, as well was most of my ammunition (I have at least 1000 of all but mini nukes, alien power cells, and missiles). My trade items are kept in the locker beside my bobbleheads with my excess miscellaneous and aid. Trade items are basically all weapons and clothes (non-rare) that i am willing to part with. My fridge has all my aid reserves (ie dozens of all consumables). I currently have over 70 Quantums, and 340 Nuka Cola's as well as over 300 stimpaks, 50 stealth boys, and have not even finished and found all locations on this playthrough (about 30 locations to go, including Evergreen Mills, Fort Bannister, National Guard Depot and Fort Independence. Upstairs my room has a desk full of skill books and rare and unique items as well as my cigarette collection, pre-war books and pre-war money. Items such as the android fragment and the collection of Lincoln artifacts reside here. Lastly the filing cabinet holds a minimum of 3 of all the miscellaneous items found in the game. For example I have four Triangles, and 5 Brahmin skulls, as well as a minimum of ten of all the schematic parts and the Mississippi Quantum Pie ingrediants. I also have the work bench and a Nuka Cola machine, but it basically stays empty except for a few Ice Cold Nuka Cola's. Portfan 17:00, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

It is really unfortunate that you can't collect the heads of your fallen enemies. Just think how bad-ass your home would look with all the trophies, especially deathclaw and behemoth noggins. LVTDUDE 17:36, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

I collect teddy bears and garden gnomes obsessively, to the point of dropping valuable loot to be able to take home garbage. I also collect the Nuka Cola trucks, and all the booze I can find. I put the garden gnomes outside my megaton house along side the walls, with most of them by the door. At first I was tediously standing them up in a perfect line, but now they are just piled up. I throw the teddy bears onto the chair next to the bobble head display, only 3 or 4 stay in the chair, the rest are all over the floor and even a few got kicked into the "kitchen". Each game i get 1 of every weapon i can find in the game. Thats all lying around the first floor in megaton. 1 game has 245 Nuke cola bottles all neatly standing upstairs taking over the whole back end (to the right of where the infirmary goes. Another pile has prewar money. dont know the ammount but its bout 2 feet tall and bout 4 ft wide now. 1 of each hat (dont ask me why) This time around im keeping it a little cleaner. Kept all the Lincoln items. Have them neatly on the shelf downstairs. Looks cool. The Lone Kobold 19:27, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

My current character (nicknamed The Exterminator, see my user page) is bigguns only, so there is no point making the F3 crafting weapons at all. But i still collect the parts. i have filled up the pace on one side of a locker (megaton house waste explorer) (you know how lockers have doors missing and you can put stuff in the space) with lunchboxes, im making a pile next to the lockers of sensor thingys, im filling up the other side of the lockers with fission batteries, you can barluy see my workbench because its covered with parts. Also prewar money (covering my bed), brotherhood tags, vault suits (so far got 101, 101 utility (2), 101 armored, dads wastelander jumpsuit (3rd person gliched) 112, 106, tunnel snakes outfit. I only need 108 and the cursed one form paradise. And power helmets, im having one of each on display, as well as any unique clothes i take from my kills. I put them on display and rest a skull on top. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 15:36, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

I have over 500 pieces of pre-war money stacked in the empty room of my megaton house. (Took me about 6 months to do that!!) Oh, and i collect talon company armor (Cus they are always tryin to kill me) and scrap metal. And my crowning achievement, LOTS of enclave tech in my bedroom filing cabinet....... I collect pre-war money (around 100), Nuka Colas (now about 200 Iced Nuka Colas), Nuka-Cola Trucks (about 50), Nuka Cola Quantums (50), scrap metal, occasionally cigarettes, pre-war books, Vault Apparel, Teddy Bears, and ammo. I have teddy bears, trucks, and money all over my bead, nuka colas/quantums in the fridge, books on the shelf, metal in the locker/all over the workbench, Vault in the wardrobe, and cigarretes on the tables/lying around. I keep all the ammo with me (just in case). However, I don't have as large collections as most because I walk around with at least 200 lbs. of equipment.......None223 23:43, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks to this website I possess all of the bobbleheads. Furthermore I make a point of having one of all the useful and unique sets of armor (subjective) as well as the unique weapons. Beyond that my game-object obsession revolves around what I believe is appropriate disposal of loot. What I mean by that is that I will only vend power armor or powerful weapons to the brotherhood armoury or Outcast, lest a raider buy it from a caravan trader or scavenger. Though all weapons are dangerous my general rule is if I can buy it from them then it's a common enough item in the wastes to vend back to them (Yes I know the caravans can carry power armour). This can be incredibly inconvenient at times but is a role-playing thing I do.

Thinking back on the game I would have liked to see more npc's devoted to recieving special kinds of loot: A church or charity to collect food or clothing; a brotherhood storesmen to collect weapons and ammo to stockpile deep in The Citidel; or a Home Depot type store for house-hold items and cleaners.

Why I want to see these things I suppose reflects my desire to persistant change and improvement in the Captial Wastes. My thoughts being, if things can sorted and collected appropriatly then they can be redistributed efficiently for rebuilding. But perhaps I've just been thinking to hard about this.Meckon 02:34, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

I collect everything I can without incurring negative karma. The way I organize things in my Megaton house is on the first floor in the locker near the front door I keep all of the various junk items, The locker on the other side of the Bobblehead stand holds all of the excess weapons and outfits I collect. The fridge holds all of the consumables. In the upstairs bedroom is a table and file cabinet. I collect one of each weapon and outfit and store them in here. The weapons go in the desk and the outfits go in the file cabinet. I also store valuable items, such as cigaret cartons, in the file cabinet. I have a Pristine Nuka-Cola vending machine in which I store all of my Nuka-Colas.--Ryker6109:42, April 15, 2011 (UTC)~2:40am 4/15/2011

Just unique weapons, items, and any apparel I like. And caps, I guess. (comment unsigned)

I stopped collecting everything at the end of the main (non-DLC) game when I returned to the main quest, as I found it too hard to carry everything out of places like Taft tunnels and Raven Rock. Up until that point, though, I dragged pretty much every item I could back to my Megaton shack (loading up myself and my follower, making multiple trips when necessary to clean out a location, and sometimes even using Buffout to temporarily increase carrying capacity), and then sorted them as follows:

  • Non-junk weapons and armor (any unique or powerful weapon/armor and pretty much anything that can be used to repair them) and Stealth Boys go in the locker by the door.
  • Crafting ingredients go in the locker by the bobblehead cabinet.
  • Non-radioactive food items (mostly booze and purified water), as well as other odds and ends such as mutilated body parts and a food sanitizer, go in the refrigerator.
  • Nuka-Colas, Nuka-Cola Quantums, and Nukalurk Meats go in the Nuka-Cola vending machine (I got that upgrade for the extra storage container and ended up using it just for Nuka-Cola related items for fun).
  • Quest items (scrap metal, fingers, holotags, sugar bombs, oasis quest junk, etc.) go in the filing cabinet in the bedroom.
  • Vendor trash goes in the desk, with the intent of selling it off if needed. Vendors never have enough money to buy much of it at a time, so I stopped bothering after a while.
  • Unneeded books are scattered all over the top of the desk for fun, except for Science books which are heaped on the chemistry lab.
  • Unneeded blueprints are laying on the workbench.
  • Various other items are placed around as well, for fun.

My friend showed me his house in Megaton with the Secy theme or whatever you call it. He covered the huge bed in the middle with beer, scotch, whiskey bottles. The fridge had all his unique weapons. The shelves were literally covered in books of all kinds. He had around 60 Deathclaw hands in one corner of the room. Teddy bears were another corner. Toasters, pressure cookers, plates, etc were along the upstairs walkway next to his chem set. Scrap metal went into the room adjacent to the room with the cot, all over the floor. Every kind of ammo imaginable sat in his upstairs filing cabinet, except missiles and mini-nukes, which were on the desk, sitting up. Kitchen utensils covered the upstairs cot. He said his prize finds though were the 3 wood chippers he found, which he sat at the top of the stairs. That's what I call no life. Bangarang! 02:20, April 17, 2011 (UTC)
