Hello my fellow Nukapedian's, I, Cc99910, hereby humbly request the privilege of becoming a Chat Moderator on our fine Wiki.
Who are you, and why do we need you?
Well, I have been here for a long time, an anon who viewed the articles often and made the occasional edit. I was here since the time The Pitt came out for Fallout 3, and I was fascinated by this site. So many articles, so much information. Well, I eventually got around to creating an account, which I believe was a little while before the chat feature was added in. I joined chat when it first came about, but was a bit turned off by it at the time due to not feeling very welcome. So, I came back months later to find a much more welcome user-base, so I decided to become more active. However, due to events that were out of my control, I could only join for short amounts of time every couple days. Back in April, I was finally able to become more active in chat, and I love it. I love meeting new people, learning about other cultures, making friends with many people, and having a safe environment to even talk about my own problems and get help.
Unfortunately, there was a bit of a downside. Every night, around 02:00 UTC, the mods went away. That was the perfect time for people to come into chat, ruining many people's time with nonsense. Sometimes there would be a mod on, but they couldn't sit at their computer all night, so this was left to happen all night until somebody happened to stumble in. I, for one, don't want to see this sort of thing happen. I happen to meet the requirement for Chat Moderator, have been approached by several several mods/admins/chat regulars about applying, and I would love nothing more than to ensure that other users like myself can frequent chat without fear or annoyance. Please, help me help our chat.

Availability
- Weekends are a bit iffy for the next two weeks due to work, but after those two weeks I can be on almost all day every weekend.
- Weekdays I am on about 6PM UTC to about 5AM UTC
- I live in Eastern US Time, but I get online after school/work every day and stay on till around local midnight.

I would like to vote yes, but we have too many users with roll back (6 chat mods and 1 mod). I know that most of chat "potatoes" (users who are mostly in chat) would make fine chat mods (as they see how many rules were broken), but it is just the fact too many users with rollback. - Ah. I see what you mean. I'd just like to say that Victor, Scarface, myself, Limmie, all of the "chat potatoes", Leon, Higgey, and a few more people discussed this before he even thought about applying. We came to an agreement that another chat mod is needed for this time slot, so we thought about potential candidates. Cc is the only one we could think of who didn't decline. - The raw number of chat mods doesn't matter - there is no such thing as "too many", and this ends up being quite misleading. Yes, there are times when we have a lot of chatmods on(around 1800-0100(UTC), but as CC has highlighted in his request there is currently very few if any just a few hours later. Not recruiting a Chatmod in a time we need them just because at some other time there are many makes no sense. Agent c (talk) 10:58, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
