I was just wondering some easy ways to get bottlecaps Kopahow 23:50, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
Haha, I just hit 100,000 caps in FO:NV (without gambling or console). I'm so proud of myself :P.--Wade Thatcher 11:22, July 5, 2011 (UTC)Wade Thatcher
Early game in Megaton, talk to Walter and complete his mini quest fixing pipes. Then he'll give you caps for scrap metal. It's not a lot but everything helps at that point. Also early on, just sell everything you find on Raiders you kill.
During the wasteland survival guide quest, you'll go to Arlington Library. The scribe there will give you 100 caps for each pre-war book. That helps a lot at that point in the game.
Later on, doing the Reilly's Rangers quest can get you a ton of money doing mapping for Reilly. -SakamotoRyoma
I was actually wondering this too. I have been selling stuff I find from houses and such, but it really hasn't added up to much yet. I guess I will just have to keep searching for some good things to sell. -Matt314hew
Dont worry about bottlecaps , it will come flowing in when you reach Level 5 , since they start carrying assault rifles around that level , and fully repaired one sells for about 170 i think , so Just get to level 5 and use a Melee weapon (so as not to waste bullets ) to farm Raiders on the Highway nearby Vault 101 , there ya go as easy way to make money that comes very early on in the game , and it also offers a decent amount of XP :)
Thanks for that. I am at level 3 right now (well really 3.5 roughly), so I don't have to wait too long. I still plan on going to the Super Mart to get rid of the Raiders from there and then loot all of it. Matt314hew 17:50, November 17, 2010 (UTC)
If your a big baddy killer, I suggest getting the Lawbringer perk later in the game, im at the point where im just patrolling the wastes for fun, so its a nice way grab some caps while your raiding random places. But im not sure about contract killer, with lawbringer, it just sort of happens, with contract you have to go start fights, so I think lawbringer yields more caps. Getting the Lawbringer perk is the best way to go. Not only that but Sonora Cruz will indicate that she's heard of your other deeds and will add on a bonus. Works for me everytime.--Ryker6107:45, April 29, 2011 (UTC)~12:44am 4/29/2011
Slaving is an extremely profitable business, thought it is kind of cruel...Captain Underpants 04:58, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
