I just wanted other people's opinion of the assualt carbine in this game. i like the fact that it looks like a M4A1 carbine, and i like that it's full auto. but with it's stats, it's weaker than the 9mm or 10mm sub-machine guns and the only up-side is that it can use armor piercing ammo. in terms of effectiveness, the marksman carbine seems more powerfull. but perhaps i'm being too hard on it or i'm not using it effectively. has anyone had much luck with it? M4A1? Nah. More like an AR-10 or Colt 9mm SMG with a longer barrel. Anyway, yeah, they made it into a bit of a 'spray and pray' gun. I really don't understand that unless they were going for the Colt SMG gig (Low-caliber ammo, high rate of fire). Personally, I like the gun because it follows the earlier AR-15 design, and with a high guns skill, it does do a solid deal of damage to anything at close range. In response to the 'effectiveness', it's a matter of user preference. The marksman carbine is a semi-automatic, scoped weapon, and the assault carbine is a (obviously) non-scoped weapon and is fully automatic. Honestly though, you couldn't really compare it to the marksman carbine or any smgs as they all use different caliber ammunition. The only other weapon using this caliber is the minigun, so using the assault carbine over a minigun is a matter of weight/firepower ratio, and a guns/big guns skill ratio. And if you're using that gun with at least SOME guns skill, and are using it at close-mid range, then you are using it effectively. --Viper720666 22:28, December 23, 2010 (UTC)
