I judt downloaded the GECK, and I've encountered a problem I'm hoping someone with experience can help me with. Whenever I save a .esp file in the GECK, it doesn't become available in the FO3 Data Files like it's supposed to. Before any overly obvious help suggestions:

1) Yes, I have the GECK installed in the same location as FO3. 2) Yes, I saved the files under bethesda softworks > fallout 3 > data. 3) Yes, I have administrator status on Vista.

Those are the three things the bethsoft GECK tutorial told me to check if the file doesn't appear in Data Files, at any rate. When I search for the file it shows up, and the location it shows when I hover the pointer over it coincides with where I told it to save, but it still isn't there when I actually go to the location to find it.

I encountered a similar problem when I first had the GECK. Try clicking on to a button marked Compatibility Files up the top of your explorer, that should bring up all your saved .esps. Copy the ones you want to use, then paste them back in your normal Data directory. Pararaptor 09:42, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
