Generally, the main roads are now nothing more than trails.

Fallout: New Vegas Official Game Guide, on Highways and Byways

157 Nevada, 160 Nevada, and 164 Nevada are now called Trail 157, Trail 160, and Trail 164 respectively.
They should be added as locations, like I-15, H-95 and H-93. They're on the FNV map.

Generally locations articles are reserved for actual locations that are recognized by the pip-boy. Adding highways as trails for add articles that in the end would have minimal information on them and are not really of any benefit as the player does not interact with them on any level other than walking on them occasionally.--Kingclyde (talk) 10:24, September 21, 2012 (UTC)
They are unmarked locations, aren't they? Just like the I-15 page. Also not just for players, but for lore purposes. Eddo36 (talk) 20:10, September 21, 2012 (UTC)
Unmarked locations serve a purpose. They are part of a quest or they contain some form of loot. These roads are just that, roads. We don't have a page for Main St in Primm. It's the same thing, having a page for both serves no purpose. Also creating the pages before a decision is made here is bad form. I say we should not have these articles as they are void of useful information and they are not unmarked locations by the wikis basic definition.--Kingclyde (talk) 05:11, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
I didn't know that a decision must be made here, I just posted here for advice and opinions. If you think it should be gone, it's a simple deletion. Pages are Trail 157, Trail 160, and Trail 164. Eddo36 (talk) 05:17, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Clyde, you asked for my opinion so here it is: While I do think that they should have a page, I don't think they should have separate pages or be called trails. I think one page that states where they start and end relative to where the courier or lone wanderer can get there by road should be implemented. Eddo, I admire that you have dedicated yourself on a level that is only surpassed by zax, but you need to remember that this is a community. The edits you make that are like this need to be discussed in a forum. Doing this after you have already made the change is bad editing etiquette. I'm sure the community would appreciate discussing this before anything actually happens. Pigeon Approved "Hail to the Pigeon!" 05:23, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't know, thought pages could be made without a decision. 71.106.237.186 05:30, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

They could eddo. I trust that you have nothing but this wiki's best interests at heart, bur please make a forum if you decide that a change like this is needed. Pigeon Approved "Hail to the Pigeon!" 06:17, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Something else I want to bring up. "Pine Ravine" is mentioned in the prima guide as the place on the way to Jacobstown, the big, greeny valley along Trail 157. I won't make it a page myself due to the comments here, but if someone else think it should be another unmarked location that belongs in this wiki then go for it. Eddo36 (talk) 07:52, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
What page?--Ant2242 (talk) 08:00, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

( Ok, just checked Google Maps where they are located. It's not a bad suggestion and I'd sort of feel for it to add them as unmarked locations (they're rather significant in FNV compared to FO3), but if we do it for FNV for these few roads, we'd also have to do it for FO3. I've taken a look at all the main roads around Washington and they're dozens. We're not going to create pages for all those seperate trails. What I do have in mind is one general page Trails (Fallout: New Vegas) for FNV with a description where they run through and Trails (Fallout 3) for FO3. We shouldn't give them too much significance and link them on the FO3 pages anymore (also don't see them mentioned in the FO3 guide anywhere), but in FNV it may be worth the while to do that on occasion as they're not that many and may still be of some user interest. What you guys think? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:38, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Here's my take on these locations/features. If there's enough information on factions, encounters, loot or quests that are best/only can be covered on a page dedicated to these locations/roads, then they should have a page. The best course of action, as always, is to put information like that on the most specific place, i.e. a marked location or quest area. If these are only infrastructure features, with little to no additional information other than where they are and where they go to, then we could add a section to the Mojave Wasteland page for these unmarked infrastructure locations, "Major routes/Main roads/Road network", whatever. If there's enough additional information that is not covered on other location pages, then they could possibly merit their own page detailing all the major routes, but only if there's enough unique information better covered there than on other pages, and only if there's enough so that the articles are not stubs. The Gunny  380px-USMC-E7 svg 16:26, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
I agree, it's best to lump them together in a single page than litter the wiki with permanent stubs. Limmiegirl Lildeneb Talk! ♪ 20:16, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, one page covering all the major roads should be enough. There is neither enough content nor a real point to make individual pages for each. --Skire (talk) 20:36, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

I love that I suggested this and nobody acknowledged it. :'( Pigeon Approved "Hail to the Pigeon!" 03:06, September 23, 2012 (UTC)

Is there a better quote indicating that they're called "trails" as that quote does not do so. It only seems to make comment on the quality of the road now being so low that it is effectively a trail. Agent c (talk) 14:40, September 25, 2012 (UTC)

Trail 157 is mentioned specifically a few times like so in the FNV Prima Guide. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:44, September 25, 2012 (UTC)
