:Something else I want to bring up. "[[Pine Ravine]]" is mentioned in the prima guide as the place on the way to Jacobstown, the big, greeny valley along Trail 157. I won't make it a page myself due to the comments here, but if someone else think it should be another unmarked location that belongs in this wiki then go for it. Revision as of 08:04, 22 September 2012

Forums: Index > Wiki proposals and applications > Add major highways: Trails 157, 160, 164
Generally, the main roads are now nothing more than trails.Fallout: New Vegas Official Game Guide, on Highways and Byways

157 Nevada, 160 Nevada, and 164 Nevada are now called Trail 157, Trail 160, and Trail 164 respectively.
They should be added as locations, like I-15, H-95 and H-93. They're on the FNV map.

Generally locations articles are reserved for actual locations that are recognized by the pip-boy. Adding highways as trails for add articles that in the end would have minimal information on them and are not really of any benefit as the player does not interact with them on any level other than walking on them occasionally.--Kingclyde (talk) 10:24, September 21, 2012 (UTC)
They are unmarked locations, aren't they? Just like the I-15 page. Also not just for players, but for lore purposes. Eddo36 (talk) 20:10, September 21, 2012 (UTC)
Unmarked locations serve a purpose. They are part of a quest or they contain some form of loot. These roads are just that, roads. We don't have a page for Main St in Primm. It's the same thing, having a page for both serves no purpose. Also creating the pages before a decision is made here is bad form. I say we should not have these articles as they are void of useful information and they are not unmarked locations by the wikis basic definition.--Kingclyde (talk) 05:11, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
I didn't know that a decision must be made here, I just posted here for advice and opinions. If you think it should be gone, it's a simple deletion. Pages are Trail 157, Trail 160, and Trail 164. Eddo36 (talk) 05:17, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Clyde, you asked for my opinion so here it is: While I do think that they should have a page, I don't think they should have separate pages or be called trails. I think one page that states where they start and end relative to where the courier or lone wanderer can get there by road should be implemented. Eddo, I admire that you have dedicated yourself on a level that is only surpassed by zax, but you need to remember that this is a community. The edits you make that are like this need to be discussed in a forum. Doing this after you have already made the change is bad editing etiquette. I'm sure the community would appreciate discussing this before anything actually happens. Pigeon Approved "Hail to the Pigeon!" 05:23, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't know, thought pages could be made without a decision. 71.106.237.186 05:30, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

They could eddo. I trust that you have nothing but this wiki's best interests at heart, bur please make a forum if you decide that a change like this is needed. Pigeon Approved "Hail to the Pigeon!" 06:17, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
